tip for the Southwest beef and black beans, the meal goes into the heating pouch, also if you add salt to the water in the pouch it heats the water faster. Lastly put the cheese spread in between the pouch and cardboard cover so cheese melts and can be easily spread on the tortilla.
It's been almost a decade since I was in the military, but I distinctly remember the heating bag did have instructions to put your food pouch inside before closing it and leaning it.
This is actually super cool, I graduated basic for the army 2 weeks ago and I just had those for so long. Tuna is definitely the best followed by beef stew
The 15 hundo calories are also for 24h so an active combatant wont get enough from one anyway. You aren't supposed to chow down the whole thing in one sitting, unless that is your thing.
actually in combat environments you generally eat 2 of those mres per 24 hrs and optimal is to include 1 hot meal (fresh food, when possible) and they are made for you to eat in one sitting, tho many of us save some of the snack items for when pulling security or on the move. you may be thinking of the day packs which is not what they have here and those have 2 main entrees and bunch of snacks (more then the 1500 they read) and you eat over the course of a day.
@@Biethir That one was a 24 hour pack. I dunno what your definition for a day pack is but I consider 24h "a day". Either way I agree that you should eat two when actively out and about but these aren't meant to sustain you for long periods of time anyway. Also how can you seriously advocate for eating 15 hundo calories in one sitting? That's like stuffing your face with an entire wedding cake.
@@ruukinen Not really, 1500 calories is alot but the serving size of the whole meal looks just slightly larger than my usual lunch. The goulash one is kinda just a bowl of stew with a thicc sandwich, some cookies and a chocolate protein shake. Not really much if you consider they are for soldiers.
@@wongcayven9893 The food is just real dense. It makes you chug down a lot of water. I mean 1500 calories in one sitting is a family size pizza. Sure it's absolutely possible to eat that much but you aren't really combat capable after eating that much in one sitting.

I hate the tortillas.
Yea they picked some pretty terrible ones, only one I’d say is good out those is the Tuna chunks, but chili Mac & beef stew, pretty good just had chili Mac this morning 😂
the chili is top tier
Vomlets were instantly thrown away or used for punishments they were that bad.
Vegetable omelette
FINALLY IM NOT ALONE WHO HATE THE TORTILLA
i ate MRE's for fun for a week and the best part was the stew{when its warm} and the cookies/poptarts you get.
The FSR MREs was the best when I was in, they was just full of like candy and snacks like pretzels and beef jerky, peanuts and little sandwiches and stuff you could eat fast and on the move and still get a good amount of calories because those are the rations you get in front line combat or special operations, I always liked them more then the normal MREs except for the chili mac one which is the best and the meatballs and marinara which is also exceptional
Michael is spot on about the gum. I'm pretty sure it's sweetened with xylitol, which some people have a reaction to
issa myth 😅
@@supparkkimchi its based in fact. It's a sugar free gum and the particular sweetener it uses can cause stomach problems for some people but not everyone. Pain, bloating, etc. Diarrhea is one of those possible side effects of xylitol, which figuring out would take 2 seconds of googling with the info from my first comment
I think this is the only food stream that our “food loving” Lily wasn’t eating much? :p
Reading this suddenly reminded me of the hot tub stream...
@@WanderTheNomad have you seen the korean pork ribs mukbang? 😂😂
Michael called her a "fat ugly bitch" the other day so shes really self concious about her weight and doesnt want to eat too much =(
@@SoyDrinker I'm hope you're just joking
@@wongcayven9893 I’m sure Michael didn’t mean it, but she’s dieting right now. And from what I’ve seen recently (though this is only speculation) she is hard dieting.
Toast and michael is a great combo of content.
Toast make a idea of content, then michael make the content interesting and funny
tbh, bringing these when you go camping is amazing, cause it's quick, moderately delicious and cause i'm lazy to cook stuff
the pain you can see on miyoung's face for the entire video is just the best
I just love how Miyoung constantly looks like she's in pain and scared, but it's just how she looks, i probably would annoy her with constantly asking if she's fine. She's adorable.
Lol I thought that too
I love how the girls look like they are hostages and toast and michael are good guys
13:35 "Just a little bit.. or the whole bag" Michael is fucking hilarious
tip for the Southwest beef and black beans, the meal goes into the heating pouch, also if you add salt to the water in the pouch it heats the water faster. Lastly put the cheese spread in between the pouch and cardboard cover so cheese melts and can be easily spread on the tortilla.
Package: DO NOT OVERFILL
Michael: completely overfillls
I love how everyone I watch that reviews MREs laughs at the "Rock or Something"
i like how Micheal opens everything with his mouth
Toast is funny indeed.. Also when he ate the toast he looks like a manhwa character
isn't that cannibalism?
@@TheZoragon what?
@@shizuko.1842 y'know cause Toast is eating well, toast
@@mabellebulanadi8671 this guy gets it
" do not overfill" immediately over fills. also the gum laxative thing is just a military urban legend
i love the subtle overcooked music in the background
miyong using the toilet paper as a bib.. haha i've never seen anyone do that before
Toast, u should do more MRE videos, there are so many from other country too, u should try that..
toast and miyoung matching outfits 🧍🏻
It's been almost a decade since I was in the military, but I distinctly remember the heating bag did have instructions to put your food pouch inside before closing it and leaning it.
Lol, I like how the girls each suffer through it, but take great joy in watching others suffer in turn. It's a great dynamic
my favorite will always be marinara and meatballs & strawberry powder drink, yummy!!
This is actually super cool, I graduated basic for the army 2 weeks ago and I just had those for so long. Tuna is definitely the best followed by beef stew
Stfu fuzzy, you know damn well it's pizza or Asian beef strips
Lemon tuna, pizza, and asian beef strips, and the chicken noodle soup one (i forgot what its called) are the only S tier ones
@@Sybur02 extremely respectable choices fellow jason.
Nope definitely beef stew always comes with sour skittles
yall got to choose from them?
We had this bag with some bread pieces, butter, uncooked food bag some mexican beef and protein drink.
@@ruukinen just wanted to point out that the rations in this video are all individual meals and not 24hr rations. If you were referring to the pack that had "24" written on it, that means its menu 24.
micheal said he wanted to eat it every day, as someone who had only mres for almost a full year because of covid at AIT for the army, i can confirm it sucks very fast. but i was like him when i first started eating them, like thought they are pretty good who would hate this, a year later of having them for breakfastlunch and dinner, no
"i would add hot water, but you're in the jungle how would you get it?" lmao i love how michael is roleplaying they're in the jungle for this 😆
Now that Lily had mentioned it, I would hope that they would try and eat Balut tho, I mean I personally like it, I just want to see their reactions LOL
The best part was edited out where Toast asked Miyoung to go back to Cuba 😂
It’s quite entertaining to watch them calmly figure out how to cook the food while all I remember is a whole lot of yelling when I was handed a tan bag.
Honestly...these things look way better than some of my school lunches and like they're actually filling too XD
Lmaooo "And a FLAVOR packet?!" 😂😂 michael was about to yeet anyone eating that
I like how they use the same spoon, that's really friendship 😂
Shush it bro, it'll get weird besides even friends eat with the same spoon
@@asdfghjkl4384 not trying to make it weird, and I literally said "friendship".
@@wahid28 omg wtf I swear i thought it says relationship🤣🤣🤣

Omg, i love this😂 I’ve had countless MRE’s and watching them try to heat the food had me dying 😂😂🤣
My father works for the military and I've eaten these before, They are surprisingly really good for what it is, a meal ready to eat out the bag. But there are definitely ones that slap and ones that are nasty, you gotta know which are the good ones
All of them had such low expectations from the entire MRE that they ended up being surprised
Fun fact: they are only illegal to sell to other government agencies in massive quantities. They are completely legal to sell between individual to individual
Fun fact: MREs usually last the entire day for 1 soldier as they ration the food out for breakfast lunch and dinner
No they have seperate one's for breakfast lunch and dinner, totaling to a near 3500 calories
A friend of mine in the marines gave me 14 MREs to try and I’ve been surprised with how much they can fit in theses.
The gum is a caffeine gum, so u chew it and it helps wake u up or helps u stay up. Also just a little tip: the food packet goes into the heating bag and then you seal it, not outside. 😄
21:52 the low pitched chair slide noise sounds like the first note of the ominous troll music
They aren’t shaking or stirring anything! That’s why it comes out chunky/strong flavored
21:17 That was so funny that I'd have given her the W and let her eat what she sneaked in
21:01 Damn Miyoung's got that vibrato down
When Lily asked if she could chew the gum I started laughing.
Tuna chunks is good, the poppy seed lemon bread is gold
I’m surprised no one said anything about the 8 person shared coffee, considering this was uploaded during the pandemic
Eating it cold was the best way. Sometimes we dont even have time to heat it so we eat em cold lol
Oh my god 😂this is the content that I want this is my lifeblood
21:07 why do miyoung and toast looks cute together
They really do. I feel like they’re dating, has anyone confirmed that anywhere? Or are they just really close suddenly?
@@MiuXiu there was a Yvonne vlog somewhere, I forgot where but miyoung n toast went to the event *together* so pretty sure they’re dating

hot water would be better for the drinks, cold water for lemonade and fruit punch, and heated up all the rest is pretty good, temperatures of different food really does makes a difference
As soon as the camera goes away from the whispers toast tunes around and look at the camera a seems like he’s gonna hay “ahem, evening gentlemen”
