Hannah, I have perhaps an odd question! I recently fell down the color analysis rabbit hole; I took the original Color Me Mine quiz back in high school (I don’t remember if I ever figured out my season at the time) but they’ve expanded it to 12+ different categories now. I finally have figured out that I’m a winter for sure (although the exact subtype is still somewhat unknown) but, since so much of the theory is based on being either cool or warm toned, with no mention of olive at all, I was curious if you’d had any experience trying to figure out your “season.” Could possibly make a fun video of you trying to figure it out if you don’t already know, and have any interest! And if that sounds boring, just ignore me 😅 Love your videos, they’re always very calming and uplifting!
The makeup purgatory is a good example of analyzing what you like when theres so much new. A lot of times it can be “well everyone is liking this so I have to try it and like it” and then youre in reality on the fence. Mindfulness towards beauty is not preached enough! ❤
I was a heavy beauty products over buyer. Most of them was high end. I'd throw away many makeup products without even finish them, since they'd expire, or I'd give them away before they'd expire since I have really sensitive skin, so I'm scared to use a very old products. One day i decided to declutter most of it. Since I started watching your channel, i become more conscious and completely stopped wasting money just to get the next viral makeup, and ending up not even like it. Now i have a more moderate make up collection (my goal is to have a small bag make-up collection). I won't buy unless I finish the product. Thank you Hannah. I love your channel. If you want something soft and lightly pigmented - a soft blush or higlighter - you can try K-beauty products (like Rom&nd products). These products are really pretty and not as much pricey as the Chantecaille products, but are in my opinion really worth it.

Ok so I have very similar pale olive skin wi a bit of yellow warmth so I’m straddling a fragile fence between warm & cool tones…essentially I have a difficult time navigating makeup. I’m on a sojourn of determining what colors are truly my natural habitat 😂 in the spirit of another pale olive, here’s my question: if you were prone to classify your coloring in a “season” what might that be? So great to hear about your process! Also, unrelated, but I’ve been wearing Glitter Brows a ton recently and gotten so many compliments on them. I use the elf eye brow gel and tap on a sheer/gold sparkle from the Hela palette (I can’t remember the name but it’s in the bottom left corner) and then comb through with a spoolie. I didn’t have a glitter liquid eye shadow and it was so fun to get creative with what I have.

I’ve asked this question before, but I’ll ask it again and maybe better this time: I would love to know how you do your accounting and bookkeeping for the items that you have purchased for review for the channel which then get to make the jump into the permanent collection. I know you maintain separate budgets for things you buy specifically for the channel and things you buy specifically for yourself, so how do you reconcile them in your accounting when they change physical destinations? Do you deduct the expense from your personal budget? Or leave it as-is?
I would think she leaves is as is. Since it serves the purpose of review and making the video with the channel, it already is a business expense. Whether she discards or gifts it to herself or someone else doesn’t matter. That’s my opinion though, I’m not an accountant.

I have tried putting together a purgatory box many times. It literally keeps me up at night. If I am going to declutter items, I have to remove them from my home immediately. I have had a few decluttering regrets in the past. But most of time, I have been happy with my decisions.

If you want something soft and lightly pigmented - a soft blush or higlighter - you can try K-beauty products (like Rom&nd products). These products are really pretty and not as much pricey as the Chantecaille products, but are in my opinion really worth it.

I firmly believe the manasi 7 white cream stuff will end up in your drawer soon. I once had a white Chanel product that you could mix with your foundation to make it more pale in the winter for instance and I loved that product. I am not sure they still make it 🤔

Ok so I have very similar pale olive skin wi a bit of yellow warmth so I’m straddling a fragile fence between warm & cool tones…essentially I have a difficult time navigating makeup. I’m on a sojourn of determining what colors are truly my natural habitat 😂 in the spirit of another pale olive, here’s my question: if you were prone to classify your coloring in a “season” what might that be? I’m just now looking at deep autumn and playing with those colors all for the sake of preventing wasteful purchases in my near future (makeup & clothes!) please help with any recommendations🤓

So great to hear about your process! Also, unrelated, but I’ve been wearing Glitter Brows a ton recently and gotten so many compliments on them. I use the elf eye brow gel and tap on a sheer/gold sparkle from the Hela palette (I can’t remember the name but it’s in the bottom left corner) and then comb through with a spoolie. I didn’t have a glitter liquid eye shadow and it was so fun to get creative with what I have.

I’ve asked this question before, but I’ll ask it again and maybe better this time:
I would love to know how you do your accounting and bookkeeping for the items that you have purchased for review for the channel which then get to make the jump into the permanent collection. I know you maintain separate budgets for things you buy specifically for the channel and things you buy specifically for yourself, so how do you reconcile them in your accounting when they change physical destinations? Do you deduct the expense from your personal budget? Or leave it as-is?
I would think she leaves is as is. Since it serves the purpose of review and making the video with the channel, it already is a business expense. Whether she discards or gifts it to herself or someone else doesn’t matter. That’s my opinion though, I’m not an accountant.

I have tried putting together a purgatory box many times. It literally keeps me up at night. If I am going to declutter items, I have to remove them from my home immediately. I have had a few decluttering regrets in the past. But most of time, I have been happy with my decisions.
