I am on a no buy and I really appreciate that you STILL have so much consistent content that isn’t promoting products. I don’t expect you not to ever buy or review, but it is very helpful to have your “RUclips oeuvre” to entertain me lol 😝
Your grasp of color stories, textures and your own preferences is so impressive. It's shown me what I felt was missing in my collection - the problem was actually textures! I'm not buying anything right now, but I'll try to dig deeper into my collection and see how I can get around it. Makeup playtime has been way more fun since discovering you, thank you for that!
I adore how in the elevated cadence of your speech, the filler that might normally be "like" (in many people's filler vocabularies) or "um"(a classic), yours is "you know" said in such an engaging and erudite tone. I have started using "you know" to sound smarter in pauses 😂 thank you HLP for being you.
The plum shadow with that orange gloss: are you kidding me! so.good. Watching you plan a whole handful of potential future looks all at once like this has me wanting to do the same :)
I’d love a video of all 4 looks when you turn the camera on each morning for 4 days and do each look. Side note: I feel like getting rid of the third silver bullet warm lipstick that you won’t wear will also help you use the other two more often. This way when you grab one and open it and it’s not the one you wanted then you automatically know the other silver bullet is the one you were after, as opposed to having two more that could possibly be the shade you were after. I know that sounds silly but I’m sure any makeup lover will agree that having to open several products with the same packing to find the colour you’re after is a factor that will make you not want to reach for any of them
You are my favorite beauty resource on RUclips. I love your commentary and watching your process unfold. I wish we had more similar aesthetics - I just can’t get down with greasy eyes and gray lips.
I'm inspired! Can see using this method for reconnecting with all kinds of things I may have lost touch with (little used spices or kitchen staples, art supplies, clothing, etc.). Love your approach to re-curating an already edited collection.
The victoria beckham lid lustre with the with the lethal liquid shadow on top is exactly the same look as using the Auric Smoke reflect in Ego with the cream base and the glitter shadow on top. I've been wanting to buy the VB product and now I just realized I don't need it
Hannah, you could use VB lid lustre to deepen up the corner in almost every makeup when you do it. I have Mink and it's works great for that. The trick it to take a little on one finger and to rub it with another one before placing it on the eye.
I’m about to move across the country and I separated my makeup into what I wanted for the next month and that that I don’t feel I need. And today I was digging into my packed makeup boxes and it gave me pause on what I value and realize I do love my other makeup. I’ve dug out other things over the month living in my basement while upstairs is being renovated that I miss. Makes me happy to miss things and gotten excited about again. It’s reminded me of hiding some of my dogs toys for a month and then give it to them and they react like it’s new 😍
On a previous topic - I am finding that doing a no-buy has enabled me to truly experience the wonderful things I have. I had not realized how much the constant shopping diminished my experience of what I already have.
Wow, what an amazing idea for a video! Such a great way to inspire yourself to wear items you have and love but might be intimidated to use in the moment. I just started watching your content this year (came over from Kackie’s channel) and you’ve become my no.1 beauty RUclipsr! The way you talk about the beauty of the items you own and how excited you get with the ideas for looks makes for very enjoyable content!
Wow.🤩Love that Blk on the eye w/neutral combo ❤. It looks like an elevated every day grudge. Doing that on your back of your hands 🙌🏻I think it’s such an amazing way to come up with looks. I have such a hard time changing up my go to.
This is so realistic and also creative. I am doing a singles project to inspire me and it has been making me think about different things while still panning my items I want to finish. I think that sometimes we forget why we love something and its important to just remind ourselves.
This is such a great video for inspiration. I've really been trying to use up my oldest makeup, especially creams and liquids. I love the look of that yellow/rusty lipstick with the purple undertone of that Roen eyeshadow. It's very avant garde and I think it would be easy to dupe the vibes of it with an orange-brown lipstick and gloss, paired with some of the l'oreal infallibles which are some of my favorite singles that always get overlooked because they are singles and the packaging is a bit fiddly. I love the textured slighly messy feel of them and I have some I can mix to make a purple-ish hue...
I didn’t even realize the video was about to end when you were wrapping it up because I was so entranced by you. The 3 color play of the makeup inspires me a ton! I am going to sit down tomorrow and pre plan the color story using what I have ❤ thanks hannah you have the best content! 😊
Agree that we’d love to see the four looks! Also, idk if this is something you’d enjoy creating, but I would LOVE to see a bridal look for the grungey bride! Getting married this summer, and as pretty as it may be, the classic Charlotte Tilbury peachy gold look isn’t making my heart flutter. It would be so fun to see your take on alt bridal looks! 🌑🌹✨
I’m putting together a look book of outfits I love while planning my project 333 spring clothing capsule (nothing new) and I was just thinking about creating 3 or 4 “looks” of makeup that I can rely on but push me to use my makeup in slightly different ways. And then you put this video out! I’m so inspired! Thank you!❤❤❤ I’ll put a file of these pictures in my notes app on my iPhone- lookbook for spring 23 clothes and makeup
It is very, very valuable of you to “not promote buying new stuff”. Especially for people like me; i dont have access to the majority of the products i see on youtube, since they dont sell in Turkey, and if any of them sell here, they end up pricing extreme amounts. A video for appreciating what you already have, and taking a place against shopping excessively is what i am looking for. Well done Hannah, thank you.
A question came to mind when you were mixing the Lethal cosmetics eyeshadow with the Victoria Beckham Onyx shadow. What do you do when you get something on your doe foot applicator? You got some of the black on the silvery doe foot… Do you rub it off? do you clean the whole applicator like you would a eyeshadow brush? Or do you just leave it alone and it will write itself in time? I have this problem sometimes when I’m mixing lipsticks or liquid eyeshadows. I’d love to hear what you do!
I remember Kathleen Lights said that she rubs her doe foot off with a towel before she puts it back in the tube, that way it doesn't mix in and change the color over time. 😊
This is such a fun idea for how to pull use out of products - I've done something similar, but always end up straying away when it comes to 'the day to use'. Thanks for this inspiratioin Hannah!
This video was so inspiring! I never thought of finding new looks like this. I love watching the colour theory behind your choices. Thank you!! Would love to see more of these 👍🏼
I feel like that Ellis Faas lippie you weren’t mad keen on could be used as a bronzer or contour or something for you - it’s not a million miles away from colours of those that you have/like!
Will be intetested in seeing the results of your first makeup look with your VB Onyx and Gucci lippie, Hannah. Also watching you play withh 11:11 inspires me (again) to play with my 11:11.
As I was looking at your Roen quad, it occurred to me that you may need to avoid wearing a bronze that has any green in it, like that one in the lower left corner (my view). That would pop due to the opposite factor. The soft golds and warm copper would be a great support, I think. This is based on that soft red Gucci lipstick, not the brownish one😊
What an interesting idea. Although, if I did this, I'd end up with a storage locker worth of stuff to use because 95% of my collection gets zero use! I always want to go through it with a fine tooth comb but there aren't enough hours in the day & starting feels overwhelming! 🕺✨
With decluttering, or any other intimidating task, I adhere to the advice of breaking it down into as many aspects as required to make each manageable. So perhaps one category one day and the next a week later.
I shopped my stash for products that might give me something similar to your Victoria Beckham smoky eye/nude face look and while it's not absolutely identical, "Dreamcatcher" in the Jolie Beauty Sorceress palette achieves a very similar effect! I topped mine with the Kaleidos Space Age Prophecy highlighter, some smudgy black eyeliner and it's definitely something I'd wear on the daily. I'm trying to find more "casual goth" looks for days when I'm just rocking an oversized black sweater dress and some boots, and this is *perfect*. I'm still looking for a suitable greigy taupe lipstick for daily wear but haven't found anything yet than isn't too brown or too pink. The search continues...
I need to do this with my makeup to be more intentional with the makeup I've kept - am I intimidated by it? How can I make it approachable? Do I not grab it because I don't love how it looks or feels but have forgotten? Such good question to ask!
Currently on a low-buy and watching this, I suddenly remembered a teal MAC shadow I had floating around and have not used in such a long time. It’s going on tomorrow!
what a fun video im definitely going to do something similar in my free time!! i have so many fun lip colors that i need to use and i feel so inspired. also...i know that this video was not meant to sell anyone anything, but i've been sort of mourning the loss of one of my favorite eyeshadows in my whole collection. its the shade 'black metal' in my pmg subversive palette. in its prime it was a beautiful shiny black that very much looked like...grease with a bunch of glitter mixed into it. however, mine has started flaking out of the pan and just. its become a horrible crumbly mess and it is almost unusable. and that beautiful victoria beckham lid lustre just may be a new contender for my replacement. i figure purchasing a $36 single is better than...replacing my entire $128 subversive palette lol. cheers hannah!! you may have helped me with one of my makeup woes!!
I wish that instead of this format you would have sit on desk and say this is the box of less used make up and we going to play with them and see what we see. I’m intentional with my make up. I figure the night before what I’m wearing and the make up I want to wear. Sometimes I can’t make my mind what palette I’m going to use and pick more than one, and let the feel of the new day dictate the look. Sometimes is bold and bright, sometimes a wash of color. Make up is meant to be fun.
I think that maybe some “older” pieces just had some memory attached to it, therefore it survives declutter. While new pieces don’t have the rapport to stay in your collection. I was just really surprised that after your pretty brutal declutter there were still things that felt out of place…
Now we so want to see the 4 looks 🙏
Please and thank you!
Yes!
Yessss !!
Yes!!! 🙌
Yessiree!
I am on a no buy and I really appreciate that you STILL have so much consistent content that isn’t promoting products. I don’t expect you not to ever buy or review, but it is very helpful to have your “RUclips oeuvre” to entertain me lol 😝

Oooh girl stopped the video I was watching just to check this out!
Hannah: this lipstick leans too orange on me
Also Hannah: so anyway here’s my orange lipgloss
😂😂❤
The last combo of the neutral taupe and that glossy acrylic orange lip is so fresh. Stunning.
I really admire the way she speaks! From her choice of words, pronunciation and her tone! It’s so elegant☺️
The plum shadow with that orange gloss: are you kidding me! so.good.
Watching you plan a whole handful of potential future looks all at once like this has me wanting to do the same :)

Do you feel as unhip as I do? I just don't get it. But it might just look great on her low mileage face. On *my* face, however...
I'm inspired! Can see using this method for reconnecting with all kinds of things I may have lost touch with (little used spices or kitchen staples, art supplies, clothing, etc.). Love your approach to re-curating an already edited collection.
This is great - like building outfits from a wardrobe!
You could also use the VB single as you do a matte black, to deepen the outer corner of something, and see what it does to your look.
The victoria beckham lid lustre with the with the lethal liquid shadow on top is exactly the same look as using the Auric Smoke reflect in Ego with the cream base and the glitter shadow on top. I've been wanting to buy the VB product and now I just realized I don't need it
Eeee I wish I could see the final looks
it’s always good to get reconnected to my faves, I’ve been having such a boring makeup life lately 🙄 love to see your collection! 💓
gah, the thumbnail of you just holding an open pot of the onyx shadow was so alluring to me, what a beautiful thing
I want to see the looks! This was so fun!
Hannah, you could use VB lid lustre to deepen up the corner in almost every makeup when you do it. I have Mink and it's works great for that. The trick it to take a little on one finger and to rub it with another one before placing it on the eye.

I looove the way you REEEALY dive into the the eyeshadow for that scrumptiously saturated swatch. Top notch for me ! ❤🎉🎉
The most unique video I have seen....ever. LOVE this concept and will absolutely do this with my makeup collection
I LOVE looking through my collection and pairing different colors together in new ways!!!! it makes me love my products even more!!!
On a previous topic - I am finding that doing a no-buy has enabled me to truly experience the wonderful things I have. I had not realized how much the constant shopping diminished my experience of what I already have.
The victoria Beckham shadows work well with a brush for that buffed out look
I used Gucci Lorna Dune today as a blush and it was AMAZING.
We might need a follow up of the week with videos of each day ❤
Wow, what an amazing idea for a video! Such a great way to inspire yourself to wear items you have and love but might be intimidated to use in the moment. I agree the first & last look combo I am LIVING for. I hope you do more video like this.
wake up girl new HLP dropped!
Wow.🤩Love that Blk on the eye w/neutral combo ❤. It looks like an elevated every day grudge. Doing that on your back of your hands 🙌🏻I think it’s such an amazing way to come up with looks. I have such a hard time changing up my go to.

That onyx shadow would be beautiful as a kinda metallic winged liner, slightly smudged out as well
you've inspired me to do this with my less used products, thank you.
This is a really great video. I am going to go and do this w some of my least used makeup!!
Another video that inspires me to play and be bold with my own collection. Thank you!!
Keep it coming; you're killing it in the best way!
I didn’t even realize the video was about to end when you were wrapping it up because I was so entranced by you. The 3 color play of the makeup inspires me a ton! I am going to sit down tomorrow and pre plan the color story using what I have ❤ thanks hannah you have the best content! 😊
This was great! I think the first is my favorite, but I also really liked the plan for the red lip.
You could try using onyx as a smokey liner, just to accentuate the lash line
Love this concept and how it relies more on color theory than just makeup!
Hi Hannah, what about Monika blunder blundercover? Do you still use it or did you declutter it at the end?
Thanks
I loved this video so much. Thank you Hannah. I’m so inspired to do this exercise myself
Agree that we’d love to see the four looks! Also, idk if this is something you’d enjoy creating, but I would LOVE to see a bridal look for the grungey bride! Loving these videos ✨ and definitely hoping we’ll get to see looks with these ⚡️
Loved this concept! So inspiring.
Thanks for this idea...I needed this!
If you haven’t already, please could you review LH cosmetics, especially the shadow pallets ❤

This was so fun to watch! Rifling through my own neglected makeup and curating a wardrobe of looks for next week is definitely on the agenda 😍
Thank you! I really appreciate these types of videos. They are incredibly helpful. Perhaps this weekend, I'll try combos to revive my older loves.
The Lorna Dune lipstick is soooooo good with the Tom Ford love lust gloss over it!
I hope we get to see these looks on your face. If not RUclips, maybe Instagram?
This video was so inspiring! I never thought of finding new looks like this. I love watching the colour theory behind your choices. Thank you!! Would love to see more of these 👍🏼

love this style of video! would love to see the follow up, of how the looks turn out!
Loved this exercise. I have to try it myself! Please show us the looks you came up with in this video!
Love your content, and always look forward to your new posts! Yay!
Will be intetested in seeing the results of your first makeup look with your VB Onyx and Gucci lippie, Hannah.
Also watching you play withh 11:11 inspires me (again) to play with my 11:11.
I really liked the concept of this video! Thank you!
So interested by the way you mix colors and textures.
I love how creative your content is!!! Love it! ❤
I love this!!!
Never been so early omg
What a great idea!
amazing video Hannah! I love this concept it’s soooo refreshing and enjoyable to watch

that vb onyx shadow sheers out in a way that reminds me of graphite/pencil lead

Currently on a low-buy and watching this, I suddenly remembered a teal MAC shadow I had floating around and have not used in such a long time. It’s going on tomorrow!
Could you use the VB black goodness as an eyeliner?
I have VB Onyx and I need to use it because I do love a smoky eye. It's like asphalt, and I kind of wanted it to be more gray. Maybe a dove gray.
I really need to pull my roen quads out to get more use!
I know you're not into the peachy, warm colors etc but I bet they look incredible on you!
I love this video concept!!! What a cool and unusual idea for beauty RUclips ❤❤❤❤totally inspired me to do the same thing, thanks Hannah!!!!
You could do a jack sparrow/ sydney sweeney inspired smokey liner with onyx
Damn I *love* this video concept!!!
The artful messiness of your Roen quads looks like an oil painter's palette.
This is so fun! You have totally inspired me to do the same ❤
What a fresh idea!

I need to do this more. ❌️⭕️
