Since I do not know honesty English.
I do not know what they are talkingabout.
However, it is very fun just by looking.

Someone's gonna find this in about 100 years ago say, this was from the covid era when manufacturing and farming shut down. People needed a reel to fish to feed themselves.

WOW, I caught the video on making the wood ball lure and the Teak wood lure. I hit a few more and ended up with this Fishing Reel.
I am 84 and spent most of my life designing and building prototype products with a fully equipped machine shop. I have no idea what your' background is in Manufacturing/fabrication. I'm just overwhelmed by what you did in a home shop with wood and metal. You have my seal of approval. I immediately subbed and liked your' channel. Looking forward to seeing more of your' talents. You are a natural. Great job!! I think i will try to steal some of your' lure designs. ;O)

@@mikejackson2228 Hey man!!! Before I went to chord I did EXACTLY that for a few years. Only i used much lighter wire and haywire twisted the weight in place. When I went to limp lines that float or have no real mass. Have flex. Retain the fine diameter. I found many more applications. This was years before iaconelli blogged about seeing a rig in japan which is now what the tokyo rig is and hence the name. A few guys at vmc sent me pics of the tokyo rig about 6months ahead of it's annnouncement which I thought was cool. Honestly though. I have a ton of the Jika/ jig rigs. And find it to be a better design than the tokyo rig as it's profile is less snag prone and it's design is fairly similar. My rig you can use in replace of jig heads and use paddle tails and swim them. The collapsable nature of it allows for much better hook ups which is why i designed it in the first place. Since jig gheads you often set the hook on the lead head and don't move the point of the hook. Wacky rigging is where my rig is amazing. Moving the weight away from the hook makes baits with flat cross sections come to life. (jackall I shads are spectacular wacky rigged with a half or 1/8 scoobydoo rig)
One thing i do like about it is the price. Working with JandH and a tungsten supplier. Even in bulk without hooks.. A 3 pack of half ounce weights would have to sell for 10$ to make it viable. That's buying at roughly 1000 pieces. And that doesn't include the time spent making the rigs to make them look profesional.

Or use wood for the rod just make certain the outermost layer is unbroken "growth rings" with no knots or rod will have a weak spot (split and scrape no cutting with saw or router), check out bow tillering and splitcane for more.
