It's why the upper great lakes area is still the best ( Wisconsin , Minnesota and upper Michigan ) ......No Damn Poisonous Snakes !!!!!!!! .....and the most beautiful Lakes with lots of tasty fish in them 🎣🐟🌲
Sounds like a couple nice places, but I'm guessing that it gets really 🥶 cold in the winter.
I can do heat, but the cold, not so much.
@@scdhl4 the cold is your friend ... natural refrigeration in winter if they ever turn the power off 🤔 .....and gee , its what firewood is for 🔥 ..... I get cozy by the fireplace......and then go ice fishing during the day ......ps , I love making firewood .....and being in A 4 seasons place

Wow what a trip! Snakes aren’t a fav of mine.
I did the same thing kayaking once. Got hung up in the water & the only thing I could do was pick it up as my friends and brother watched in amazement. Went to the side of the river and got it together. My dear camera was clenched in my hand. I wasn’t letting that go! This was in ny where the rivers are really cool. While floating down you’re seeing cliffs and waterfalls and all kind of birds. I wasn’t looking for anything else 😝

I am not Neil , I am a roommate , been watching your videos for many years , from Ontario CDA , in north Ontario we have poisonous Massasauga rattle snakes .When I was a kid at the cottage our neighbour and his friend who was a native Chief cought one of those snakes put it in a metal mino pale .They got it to teach others so they would know what these poisonous snakes look like . I got to lift the pale with that live snake in it .I will never forget it . Fantastic video Richie .

Beautiful and amazing trip! I live by a nature trail along a stream and for years I’ve enjoyed the various wildlife that lives there, including a couple of copper snakes that live in the rocks along the stream. I see them each year and after a big rain -saw one of them just yesterday slithering across the path. She looked like she was about to give birth. Wildlife and Mother Nature is the highest and most beautiful and mystical form of life, IMO.
My favorite overlander💋.Had a smile on my face the whole rock trail climb. And the kayak footage amazed me with its beauty. Thank you Richie.💯

The Current River & Jack's Fork River are beautiful. Many under ground springs bubble up out of the ground with the clean clear blue water. Glad to enjoyed Southern Missouri. I miss it.

Im from Bakersfield, Mo. about 30 miles from West Plains. I loved it there unfortunately, Im in St. Louis now. I wish I could go back to the Ozarks. Awesome video.

Richie, this is awesome. Just love watching your adventures. I was taught how to catch a rattlesnake as a child in west Texas. Snakes are so cool, but also all the other wildlife you encountered on this Ozark trip are so cool! Take care, eh.

Oh my what a fabulous trip down the river or stream or whatever. But the snakes hey I don't think those are so cool. I think they can just strike you . I was trying to keep my mouth closed the whole trip down because I was afraid I was going to scream. Yep snakes and I really aren't friends. But that is what everybody has always said to me you don't bother them they won't bother you but for some reason I sure don't trust them. Thanks for sharing all the really informative and beautiful videos. I physically "can't do that anymore so this lights up my heart and seeing nature is my thing "NOT SNAKES" BUT rivers and streams and you were seriously "threading the needle coming up that "trail" in the truck. That's not the new 4RUNNER...but I hope by now you invested in a Satellite locator beacon just in case you have no phone service at remote sites.
Been watching you for a few years love your videos but I think you mis identified your snakes , the water moccasins/ cottonmouths were right but a copperhead is a pit viper, very seldom in water unless escaping a perceived threat. A typical water snake is marked almost the same as a copperhead just different shaped head and fatter body. I'm no expert but growing up in oklahoma I've seen my share and many other people's shares of the different species.
Love what you do wish I was capable, mc wreck and 10 years of surgeries have just about put me down. Still do what the Good Man allowes me to do.

Beautiful out there. Years ago BF Goodrich All Terrains came with a card that had a number to call if you got stuck. They claimed they would air lift you out if anywhere. That's how sure they were if their tires. Never used it because, I never got stuck.
