    I've started oil pulling for two weeks after I watched your video. Happy to report that my mouth is cleaner and fresher. The oil pulling has decreased swelling of gum tissue. I've noticed my teeth are less sensitive. This will make future visits to the dentist less painful. Thank you for creating this video

    I think baking soda for brushing teeth is a good thing to couple with oil pulling. the oil to soften the plaque and the baking soda to remove it. Ive brushed with soda for years now. The taste isnt bad as long as you store the soda in an air tight container so it cant absorb odours from the surrounding air. Keep it fresh. I go through periods where I eat the organic cold pressed coconut oil on a daily basis, so I already have a bunch lying around and Im starting oil pulling today . THanks for the idea and best wishes to all

    Wow, I have not used toothpaste for about a year after finding out flouride is used in rat poison, I have just used water and a salt wash and it's been ok, I do notice morning breath and my normal breath (I do drink coffee) espeacially when we had to use those dumb masks of 2020 and 2021. I tried oil pulling for the first time today and I will be making this my daily routine from on. The difference is noticable, it's left my gums and teeth feeling ultra smooth and the atertaste of the oil is surprisingly pleasant and seems to have replaced the morning breath. Thank you for these vids and info you have taken the time to convey - they have steered me to this pleasant discovery.

    your initial video on oil-pulling was the first one I viewed when it suddenly appeared in my youtube feed. I have heard so many good things about it so have started watching every single video I can find related to it. I had a slight sensitivity and pain in one of my molars a few weeks ago, went to the dentist, but have decided not to touch it. I went back to the dentist again and when she hit the molars I, there was no pain at all. all sensitivities when drinking cold water were gone as well.
    I started oil pulling 5 days ago. while I gargle the coconut oil in my mouth i can actually feel plaque almost like being peeled from the insides of my teeth. but the best thing I love about it is after I have spit all the oil from my mouth, and rinse my mouth with water i almost always feel this sort of phlegm-like substance in my throat that i am induced to spit out as well. so when I think about it, all this time, all these years that I have not done oil pulling, i was probably swallowing that substance that has accumulated in my mouth/throat overnight.
    i don’t particularly love doing it, but seeing the benefits for my teeth, then I will continue to do so.

      That's awesome to hear, seems like it's already doing wonders for ya ✨
      I would draw a parallel to brushing teeth. As a kid I used to find it annoying to brush teeth and I think it's the same now as an adult adding on another hygiene routine. It gives me the "gah do I really need to add this to my daily routine?" thoughts. However if you see good results then it just incentives you to continue and keep it going. Eventually it will become second nature and you will feel weird not doing it just like brushing teeth!

    So I checked out your oil pulling website - very nice. It didn't address something that I heard from a doTerra rep who does oil pulling also. She mentioned that oil pulling more than 2 min can be negative as the oil pulls toxins, etc from your mouth and the longer you swish the oil, you are just reintroducing them to your system. Do you have any info on that? That would be good to include on your website. Thank you! Also, I think your teeth DID get whiter compared to a year ago.

    I appreciate this second video on oil pulling - the large scoop in the first video seemed like alot to me - glad you clarified it - would like to know the best way to store the oil - is it best in the cupboard or in the fridge - have you changed your technique of getting it out of the jar, like some people have commented - would welcome your thoughts - cheers from Canada 🍁

    • @brewinghabits
      @brewinghabits  Год назад +5

      There were indeed a few things I had changed (dose being one of em) warranting the second update! These days, I actually intentionally leave it out in the living room where it's slightly hotter for it to liquify making it easier to dose. It's much easier and I haven't noticed any significant degrading in oil pulling qualities.
      Using other oils like sesame seed and sunflower seed oil is also something I've been experimenting with. Both work well but imo coconut oil still is superior to them with its anti-bacterial qualities and pleasant taste.
      Cheers from Canada too (Toronto here!) 🍁🍁

    For those that dislike the semi-liquid texture of coconut oil when it sits at room temperature in the summer, I found that freezing/refrigerating some in a large glass container and then cutting it with a knife into portions works really well. That way, you can just grab a cube of it out of the fridge. Ice cube trays would probably work great as well, I just don't have a good sized one.
    As far as the teeth whitening is concerned, make sure you're also taking a trace mineral supplement. Even though I've been oil pulling for the last six years, my teeth will immediate start yellowing if I don't take a trace mineral supplement haha

      @@brewinghabits Thanks for the kind words! It's been nice seeing you upload again.
      Regarding the trace mineral supplement, I had started taking it for other health reasons, but the composition of minerals (or lack thereof) in your local water supply can ruin enamel. Your enamel needs a constant supply of minerals for the processes of de/remineralization, and nearly the whole population is difficient. I have a history of not being able to absorb nutrients, so it made things worse in that regard haha.
      I've had good luck with the Life Extension 'Only Trace Minerals' supplement, as the minerals that tend to be more difficult to absorb are all cheylated to enzymes. So they're in their most absorbable forms. Just be sure to take it with food in your stomach or else it can give you vitamin nausea.

    so. we have 2 opinions here. one is a man who like oil pulling and buys his own products. the other is health care professionals who are paid by Colgate and other brands to promote there products. who are we going to listen too? over paid shills who benefit from out poor hygiene. or a man on the internet who is passionate about a method not a product

      I decided to try it since we had some MCT oil at work. It's not as tasty as regular coconut oil but it actually feels more efficient against the plaque on my teeth. It's for sure pricier but if you have it lying around, I would totally recommend it!

    Oil pulling, or swishing oil in your mouth for 5 to 20 minutes seems like something dangerous to do. I wouldn't do it.

    Dont care about teeth whitening either.
    I just want the pain to STOP.

    • @brewinghabits
      @brewinghabits  Год назад +3

      Then just try it for yourself. 15min per day for 2 weeks. You will have your answer. I know it worked for me but if you can’t take the steps to try it for yourself and are looking for the “ultimate” video that convinces you then I have bad news… that video will never be made since you will always have doubts until you actually try it. The truth is that it works for the majority of people (just look at comments with overwhelming good experiences) to help with dental health. If you literally have a huge cavity or pain then I’m not sure how oil pulling will solve that as it seems like you might need some heavier intervention.

      If your pain stems from Wisdom tooth affecting your other tooth, urghh just extract it. Oil Pulling doesn't help. If your pain stems from stage 4-5 cavities, same goes for extraction.

    • @brewinghabits

      I don't link oil pulling to brushing your teeth. Traditionally, it's supposed to be done the first thing in the morning. I do it whevener I feel like my mouth needs a refresher, usually after coffee or work.

    • @richa1147

      i brush and floss first and then oil pull, i think this works best - coconut oil has no sugar so is ok - rinse with warm water after to dissolve any solidified oil on the teeth
