Wow, China is building a satellite constellation around the moon. It is logical step towards her mission to land and build the lunar base because China is aiming to do it at the far side of the moon which can never be reached directly by a radio communication from the earth. By having the Queqiao satellite constellation around the moon the earth base can communicate without problems with the landing craft and the lunar base. Great idea China.

I've been wondering when they send 3 to 5 Starlink to the Moon, or also to Mars. Probably NASA will want some special made stuff to fuck tax payers money, instead of taking already existing equipment.
@@linz8291 only if it serves a purpose dude. The Queqiao satellite constellation around the moon is needed for direct communication between earth and the back side of the moon which cannot be seen from the earth. The Queqiao satellite functions as a relay station for radio signal from the earth and the moonlander while it descends at the back of the moon. Although China has proven that an automated Chang’e 5 could land and did everything automatically without the guidance from earth a direct communication is needed when the taikonauts land on the back of the moon by 2030. Queqiao satellite constellation around the moon is a preparation for China’s moon base.

Every year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, magpies will turn into bridges to allow them to meet. In fact, between Alpha Lyrae and Aql is the cantilever of the Milky Way galaxy.
I think you talked about americans concepts as a way to "reassure" that china isn't alone in their moon endeavour, however timed plans with exact number of spacecraft that are already decided is much more of a plan than the western suggestions, and btw i don't think we'll have to wait all the way to the end of the 50', considering their plans for a space economy by the end of the next decade, to see thoses constellations despite how you keep this "pessimistic" behaviour every time you talk about something they do, i don't want to hear anything over optimistic sure, but your little repetitive comments here and there like "but this is not for sure" or whatever, are generally uncalled for. Your one of the only guys who keep some updates to what's happening there and you're only releasing a vid once a month if not a few months and sometimes it's a mere inteview, so your comments are really uncalled for, i have to search much more to learn what they're doing to the overshowed news of the west part, that are often completely irrelevant like Space X building a parking or whatever, is this necessary to have 50 differents medias that are talking about the same pointless topic every day? Like who care about what they're doing i just want to see how they're doing with their main projects and without bias please (yes i know this is impossible with this media empire we live in). On the chinese part, this week, i learned that CASC will launch by the end of this year the long march 12 which will be reusable, and that CASC is also building two others reusable rockets that will be there next year and in 2026 respectively, thoses are each 4m in diameter and 5m in diameter, meaning their going into a much heavier payload capacity sector than what they have now in only 2 years, also, and this is the most interesting news that litteraly no one mentioned, but it really do put a lot pressure on the u.s counterpart program so they still must be in total panic since 3 days, it goes as follow; " China's lunar landing mission is being carried out smoothly, as its component systems are under research and development as planned, announced a senior official with the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) at a press conference on Wednesday. The project development of major flight products, such as the Long March-10 carrier rocket, the manned spacecraft Mengzhou, the lunar lander Lanyue and the lunar landing suit, has been completed, and their prototype production and tests are being carried out, said Lin Xiqiang, deputy director of the CMSA. The development of mechanical and thermal test products for manned spacecraft and lander has been completed, various rocket engines are under ground tests, and the Wenchang manned lunar exploration launch site is under construction, he noted. The proposals for manned lunar rover and lunar surface payloads solicited from the public are under selection, he added. " This is insane, that mean that they could be able to launch Long March 10 with a prototype lander and orbiter, to test the complete maneuver by the next year at most, we'll need to wait a few more weeks to see what the new calendars are, but that's not the first time that they advance scheduled missions, unlike americans who are delaying everything mostly because they're overselling hype to hold the focus of the attention and private investments, china doesn't have this problem, they give themselves way too much time to do something and in the end they have to advance an extremely safe schedule wich integrate all of their vast planifications, this is done because they don't want to have problems in their scheduled plans, if anything is late, everything has to de delayed also, that's why they make date that are "unrealistic" in a way that everything will be done before the scheduled date. So when they were saying lunar landing around 2030, well it might finally be in 2027 at most, give them the time to form their astronaut to this mission and they'll be there in no time, so we'll see them try in the next year or so all their new techs, and they will be able to gain the necessary experience to do everything they wanted at least 3 years ahead of the original schedule, which again, is just insane, this is massive yet even you didn't talked about that.
Lining up on the horizon are the *_Chinese Space Telescope_* , and then, the *_expansion_* of the Chinese Space Station with at least 3 more modules. Following that, is a build up of a preliminary *_Lunar Space Station_* (the Chinese will build it and will share with everyone, except USA, Europe and Japan), first with 2 to 4 modules (which will be greatly expanded, and there might be, perhaps, more than one Lunar Space Station), and then, the *_Lunar Land Stations_* (plural, meaning, more than one location on the moon surface), which they will share with Russia. @@neyman6398 The Chinese advances are based on tried and true technologies and devices Like the CZ5 rocket that was used to send up Chang'e 6, it was test launched 2 times, both times with satellites On the 2nd trial, that rocket failed, so the Chinese went back to their drawing board and re-design that rocket, causing a 2 year delay on subsequent Chang'e launches (and also their Space Station) Now that the rocket has been proven reliable the Chinese are using it as the launch vehicle for many of their bigger space vehicles (even including the one to Mars)

The relevant question remains about *_the practical gain_* of a permanent, _unmanned_ base on the Far Side of the Moon, especially considering the Indian Chandrayaan programme - hinting that water molecules, observed from orbit are less accessible than imagined. Would satellites, orbiting the Moon e.g. be resilient to anti-satellite warfare within Earth's closer orbit ?

Probably NASA will want some special made stuff to fuck tax payers money, instead of taking already existing equipment.
lol...then to build satellite networks to whole Sol system.
Excellent briefing, concise and informative summary.
Although all these major achievements are great (amazingly fast and effective constructions of infrastructures, high-speed rail, airports, space station, Chang'e lunar explorations, EVs, battery technology, AI leadership, aircraft carriers, shipbuilding, money-less payment systems, excellent treatments on the people in Xinjiang/Tibet, etc., etc.), however the most important aspect and characteristics of China is its peaceful nature in its global policies. The friendliness of its population toward visiting guests is another beauty of China. The tasty and affordable food variety also helps to make everyone to love China.
Okay I know, the western media will report just the opposite (or deliberately not to report on these achievements).
Nicely done… cheers for the vid 👍👍👍
covid mean vid?
I heard NASA's Nelson just now says he doesn't understand why China would bother to explore the dark side of the moon because it is always dark 😂
If NASA scientists don't know why China is targeting the darkside/farside of the moon... Then the USA is even worse off than we thought. Or American scientists are now prone to lie about things now... Out of politics
Saying stuff like this amongst others, and he is still in his job.. Now you know why US is in a mess.
He saying that because the US land in Arizona desert........!!!!!!!!!!!! Today moder day with Super Computers and G5 the still can even have it own space Space Station and land in the moon........!!!!!!!!!!! By the way the US still don't even G5 yes very very for the loser US........!!!!!!!!!!!
I was shocked for what he said. But if you check sleepy Joe and crazy Dump, they said similar dummy comments many many times.
Actually the correct name is the far side, and it is NOT always dark.
Shame on thia NASA official he must not granduate from his middle school
china speed is nuts!
Yea did you see the speed their recent pod hit earth with a couple astronauts in it hit? They won't even answer if they are alive or not. China is unfortunately horrible.
China speed is just the natural speed WE really should be advancing! The West have collectively kept back the human race for a reason! Ask Tesla!! These are all Teslas ideas! more or less

Superb and informative video!
So, in other words, China is thinking ahead.
Not only thinking, but also put in actions.
I love this podcast
Funny how we never hear in the news China's accomplishments in space. I wonder why....
Yeah. They made a big hoo-ha of India's crash landing on the South Pole last year and called it a complete success.
But far quieter on China's much earlier successful landing and exploration of the far side of the moon, and which returned with moon samples, a much more difficult feat. On the first attempt, too.
Because you live in a huge information cocoon, it's not your fault, it's the fault of the Western media.
The indan's claim on successfully landing on the South Pole was not correct.
It landed some 619 km or 385 miles away from the exact S. Pole. A top Chinese Lunar Scientist Mr. Ouyang Ziyuan pointed that out. The Indians has yet to answer to that challenge.
Here is the Western-controlled media
@ankHank-fs1zr
So it failed because it landed in the exact spot that it was supposed to?
You're misinformed because the landing spot for that lander was not was not supposed to land right on 0° south pole.

鹊桥que qiao comes from a Chinese mythology story. The tallest god in China had a daughter who came to earth and fell in love with a boy who was herding cattle. But since gods cannot marry humans, they are forced to separate. The daughter of the god became α Lyrae, and the boy herding the cows became α Aql. Every year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, magpies will turn into bridges to allow them to meet. In fact, between Alpha Lyrae and Aql is the cantilever of the Milky Way galaxy.

Another banger good work as always
Brilliant!
When China says it, she means it. She will achieve it as planned.
On the chinese part, this week, i learned that CASC will launch by the end of this year the long march 12 which will be reusable, and that CASC is also building two others reusable rockets that will be there next year and in 2026 respectively, thoses are each 4m in diameter and 5m in diameter, meaning their going into a much heavier payload capacity sector than what they have now in only 2 years, also, and this is the most interesting news that litteraly no one mentioned, but it really do put a lot pressure on the u.s counterpart program so they still must be in total panic since 3 days, it goes as follow;
"
China's lunar landing mission is being carried out smoothly, as its component systems are under research and development as planned, announced a senior official with the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) at a press conference on Wednesday.
"
This is insane, that mean that they could be able to launch Long March 10 with a prototype lander and orbiter, to test the complete maneuver by the next year at most, we'll need to wait a few more weeks to see what the new calendars are, but that's not the first time that they advance scheduled missions, unlike americans who are delaying everything mostly because they're overselling hype to hold the focus of the attention and private investments, china doesn't have this problem, they give themselves way too much time to do something and in the end they have to advance an extremely safe schedule wich integrate all of their vast planifications, this is done because they don't want to have problems in their scheduled plans, if anything is late, everything has to de delayed also, that's why they make date that are "unrealistic" in a way that everything will be done before the scheduled date.
Fun time ahead !
Yes, China always finishes their plans before the deadline. We hardly ever experience delays.
@@neyman6398 The Chinese advances are based on tried and true technologies and devices
Like the CZ5 rocket that was used to send up Chang'e 6, it was test launched 2 times, both times with satellites
On the 2nd trial, that rocket failed, so the Chinese went back to their drawing board and re-design that rocket, causing a 2 year delay on subsequent Chang'e launches (and also their Space Station)
Now that the rocket has been proven reliable the Chinese are using it as the launch vehicle for many of their bigger space vehicles (even including the one to Mars)
@user-vo8zx2uj1p so you're saying that the chinese will land on the moon even sooner?
@@mariuskatutis2687 well at least that's we're seeing, since my comment has been posted they did the whole chang'e 6 mission without any problem and the engines tests have already showed perfect results with all it's montage and everything. They've yet to announce the crewd mission but we hear that they might do crewed flight tests by 2027 at the latest considering their progress they have yet do deny this, however the chang'e program have now completed all it's required tests to send the first taikonauts to the moon, the remaining missions chang'e 7 and 8 are part of the last phase of the program which is exclusively made for the tests of a moon base deployment, it's simply made scouting ressources and testing the various techs to transform the ground into construction material.
China is sparking competition from NASA.
the West thought that they had time to sit on their laurels! China is a completely different beast to Soviet Union! An unstoppable juggernaught! Lets see the Indians boast about catching up with the Chinese now!
NASA beats China in EEOC and DEI and BRIDGE compliance. We will have gender flexible restrooms on the Moon before anybody else! We will send the first gender-optional white-free crew to use that restroom complex as well! USA! USA! USA!
NASA beats China only in EEOC and DEI and BRIDGE compliance.
China didn’t want to compete. But Frank Wolf the genius introduced an amendment (laws) that left China no choice but to forge alone. Because of China manufacturing capabilities now. China can surpass NASA and refuse to collaborate with NASA in return. This is unfortunate for science.
To be honest NASA is not even in the same level anymore especially when they give to spaceX
Excellent coverage and context. Really looking forward to following Chang'e-6 on its far-side lunar sample and return mission in May. Not protected like Earth-facing side, there should be opportunity to discover more diverse and interesting samples.
For International Day of Human Space Flight (April 12), China reiterated its plans of a crewed landing before 2030 and to establishment of an International Lunar Research Station (ILRS) by 2040. Currently 11 countries have signed on as partners for constructing ILRS. Looking forward to watching the spacecraft evolve to what will become 'Mengzhou,' (Dream Vessel) spacecraft and 'Lan Yue' lander.
China's latest plans for Tianwen-3 suggest a sample and return from Mars with an approximate 2030 timeline, this just ahead of NASA delayed Mars sample return plans.
So much happening in May and beyond over the next 5 years, with many nations (~40 globally) participating and contributing to lunar exploration and research. Exciting times!

I would think since China has advance infrastructure technology and engineers and can quickly build things on the moon in a short amount of time compare to western nations, it's just a matter of sending the people and payloads there....and then get to work!

You are the only one who had pronounced QUEQIAO correctly, I mean non chinese, bravo
Far side of the Moon is where you would put an observatory
China ought to consider building a permanent orbiting space station above the Moon, as a secondary space station, as well serving as a “halfway house” and communication center between the Earth and China’s Moon base(s). Also any materials collected from the Moon can be transported to this orbiting Moon space station, and duly bring back to Earth by the returning Taikonauts, thus saving much time and resources.
The construction difficulty of a lunar base is much greater than that of an Antarctic base.
@@neyman6398 The some basic infrastructure / materials will be constructed from Earth in modular form and transported to the Moon base site, and 3D machines will be carried to the Moon base, using materials from the Moon for other basic constructions.

There's the Chang'e 4, operating on the far side of the Moon since 2019. The Chang'e 6 lunar sample return mission is scheduled to launch in May 2024 and will also require assistance from relay satellites. Further missions are expected in 2026 (Chang'e 7) and 2028 (Chang'e 8).

Most likely yes if the Moon station program is going ahead with Russia...... But the last time I heard i think, The Russians might sit out on something due to resources and other obvious pressing matters.... So China is the spearhead! That allows other nations to hop on and off I guess!?
Russia is one of the nations that would love to work together with China... But many nations are on the waiting list including west European nations. France and Germany are just two examples of those countries, and a shared space program is one of the many topics that will be discussed when Xi Jin Ping will meet with Macron and Scholz this upcoming May when he does visit France and Germany. Now that ISS will soon be history many nations have asked acces to the Chinese space station in order to keep doing science in space... And China does welcome them all, except the US... I should double check it, but the last time I did read about this more than 35 nations did already ask China permission to get acces. African nations, European nations, Asian neighbours and countries in the middle east..... If correct DongFangHour did already make a video about this in the past.

The debate over whether the U.S. faked the moon landing will soon have a conclusion. When Chinese lunar map went on line. People can search inch by inch 😂
The 'Chinese' permanent lunar base is not 'in a planning stage' as the projects is in all, but name _the transnational execution of the Soviet LUNA program_ (active since 1959 by the Soviet Union and _continued_ by the Russian Federation as the 'Luna-Glob' program with various success, including a recent failed landing) - hence the close Sino-Russian collaboration in the middle of _a world war_ and explicit threat of sanctions by the US.
