What a great guy Phil is, I met and spoke to him last year when he was in the UK. He is so down to earth and approachable, I even got him to sign the white Fender Strat I had just bought.
The passion for his craft is infectious... maybe even enough so to inspire this 1957 model to practice more and keep learning the tricks of the trade ~

Phil is so cool ... saw him play with the Drills in Toronto, at a small venue. At the end of the show he hopped off the stage and had a drink at the bar. Totally down to earth dude

I mostly agree. Wouldn’t the one exception be if your pickups are non-wax-potted? If they’re not potted, that means they’re going to be microphonic, right? But outside of that, I cannot for the life of me understand how the wood can affect a magnetic field.
He is as passionate about playing guitar as Tom Brady is about playing quarterback.
