Ahoy my friends! Today I will be showing you all the team i built for the EX2 Ifrit Battle. I put this off knowing that I would likely not skip Aerith's Princess Guard, and I'm glad i waited because this fight is considerably easier with this UW to the point where team builds and beta completely changes. That being said, if you do not have Aerith's UW, this guide will likely not be as useful, but there are many players out there who have uploaded the battle without using Aerith's UW. Yeah this guide requires also OP ice dps. Looks like Ifrit targets the one with highest HP and if one raises the fire ressist on that char, one could also do it with lower ice dps overall.
Thanks for sharing the info mate! Asgeroth used a Edged Wings Sephiroth for this, so yeah it can be done without Cloud as DPS for sure and another comment said Tifa rocks this as well
Not sure about that... is it highest current HP? Cause Ifrit keeps killing my Cloud which has lowest HP. If not for that I would have been able to clear it. But I'll keep trying.
@@BodhiJMSRyder Thanks - it helped. ^^ But it took me so many tries. :( It was pretty annoying. Especially the posion thing. It's just too random and it had to prog fast for me, in two occassions. And I still don't know what the requirements are for Ifrit to target another char other than my dps. Cloud always had the lowest HP, but only when I reduced his HP to under 10K and his attack to 8K I got a run where he finally got spared, securing the victory. I also tried the highest and lowest PDEF - but that didn't change Ifrit's target focus either. Before, I almost did it with 7.4K dps. But I lost three times with just 0.1% of Ifrits health left. And that only because Cloud got killed early by the charge attack. Anyway... I'm relieved and happy that I can cross off another challenge. Your video helped me a lot, thanks. :) P.S. Ifrit's first Hellstorm is very tricky. I needed a Princess Guard cast, the ATB boost weapon for Redxiii, and two casts of Bahamut Rod. Not only to get Red's ultimate in time, but also so that Cloud could make another attack just before the Hellstorm. Unless Ifrit's charge bar was at zero, there was no way I could survive it.
nice clean run! this is what you want to shoot for, but for those whose dps is a bit weaker, Red can actually survive the charge attack and get off another imperil before he dies, and then your dps and healer can finish the fight after that
@lens_hunter I'd built tifa with dps and just had focus on sigil breaking honestly don't think any LB weapons are needed not sure you can do it without princess guard though
@@adamssj2295 I do have Aerith's UW. I just usually never try these hard fights until later down the line cause the reward generally isn't worth the struggle.

Yay another battle where it sucks to not have OB10 Half Anni weapons.
I did it with sephi edge wing if you don't have cloud, but aerith UW makes this fight a lot more manageable
@NguyenNguyen-qn4nw I was thinking maybe Tifa since she also has a Diamond weapon? Could actually break his phase.

Or summons thst arent maxxed out.. or the outfits... us FTP get the shaft.
How can this be tweaked to fit a magic build??? My only good ice character is Sephi 😢
