Jack Black is my favorite of all! Very versatile. He can sing almost anything (pop, jazz, rock, R n B) and has a great opera voice!!! Kudos to this man with a thousand voices. And please don't forget Hugh Jackman, he is also a phenomenal singer!❤

Probably because Mandy Patinkin was already well-known as a singer on stage before he became famous as a film actor. The fact that he could sing in films wasn't exactly a surprise to audiences, as it was with most of the other actors on here.

I mentioned Nicole Kidman too in another comment. Her Moulin Rouge costar Ewan McGregor can also sing and has done so in a few movies. Completely forgot JGL, he has a nice voice and his face lights up when he sings but I feel like it lacks some power. Ludacris was fist a rapper who then started acting though only recently has he become a "good" actor, those first Law & Order episodes with him were painful to watch. There is also Alan Thicke who is good but how on Earth could they forget to mention the talents of Henry Connick Jr, the dude is a classy act and sings like a superstar. It would have been good if they had defined the criteria since in Hollywood and especially in theater, a lot of actors sing and dance. Oh there is also J-Lo though IMO she isn't very good at singing, acting or dancing.
I'm surprised Tom Ellis (Lucifer), Rob Benedict (God - Supernatural), or Michael C Hall (Dexter) are not in this; but then again there are so many excellent singers who act as well.

I'm so glad that Jensen Ackles made the list! Jensen really surprised me, because there are a few scenes in "Supernatural," that led me to believe that he couldn't carry a tune. It wasn't until I watched a convention video that I found out that man can SING! He's one of my favorite singers. Christian Kane (who sang with Jensen in an episode of "Supernatural") is also another one who surprised me. The moment that I'm referring to is when he sang in an episode of "Angel." Why in the world didn’t Amanda Seyfried make the list. She is one of the genuinely great singers in Hollywood. She played Cosette in Les Miz which is an impressive feat as the role requires singing in soprano constantly. Also her work in Mama Mia was superb. Her renditions of ABBA’s classic songs Lay All Your Love On me and I have a dream we’re exceptional!

Surprised to hear about Val Kilmer. I didn’t know he had throat cancer. It seems like a lot of British actor’s love country music and most that I see in movies really nail that southern accent. Really liked Jeremy Renner’s voice and music.

As I was watching the beginning of this video, I was thinking they should have Christian Kane (most known for Leverage) on this list. Then they showed a clip of Jensen Ackles singing with...you guessed it...Christian Kane! Though he did't make the list, he was still in the video. LOL. My sister lived close to Portland, OR when they were shooting Leverage there. She said that Christian could be found singing in local clubs from time to time. They also featured his voice in one of the Leverage episodes. I'm sure he didn't make this list because he is not as well known as the other actors, but he easily fits the category! His voice is wonderful.
An interesting list but Meryl Streep belongs in the top 5, at least, with her performance in "Into the Woods". I personally would have put her at number 1. Meryl Streep! When I saw her do Postcards from the Edge, and heard her sing I'm like why isn't she doing more? I was so excited when she showed off her singing chops in Mamma Mia and then Into the Woods etc.
Ooh, really? I thought she sang enthusiastically in Mama Mia, but... Ouch. I couldn't figure out if she was a good singer acting a bad one, or a naturally bad singer doing a surprisingly good job. She wasn't the worst singer on Mama Mia, but I couldn't finish the film.

I mentioned Nicole Kidman too in another comment. Her Moulin Rouge costar Ewan McGregor can also sing and has done so in a few movies. Completely forgot JGL, he has a nice voice and his face lights up when he sings but I feel like it lacks some power. Ludacris was fist a rapper who then started acting though only recently has he become a "good" actor, those first Law & Order episodes with him were painful to watch. There is also Alan Thicke who is good but how on Earth could they forget to mention the talents of Henry Connick Jr, the dude is a classy act and sings like a superstar. It would have been good if they had defined the criteria since in Hollywood and especially in theater, a lot of actors sing and dance. Oh there is also J-Lo though IMO she isn't very good at singing, acting or dancing.
I'm surprised Tom Ellis (Lucifer), Rob Benedict (God - Supernatural), or Michael C Hall (Dexter) are not in this; but then again there are so many excellent singers who act as well.

I'm so glad that Jensen Ackles made the list! Jensen really surprised me, because there are a few scenes in "Supernatural," that led me to believe that he couldn't carry a tune. It wasn't until I watched a convention video that I found out that man can SING! He's one of my favorite singers.

Surprised to hear about Val Kilmer. I didn’t know he had throat cancer. It seems like a lot of British actor’s love country music and most that I see in movies really nail that southern accent. Really liked Jeremy Renner’s voice and music.
If you are a fan of Val Kilmer, you should really watch his bio-documentary Val. It’s a very powerful and moving autobiography on film.

As I was watching the beginning of this video, I was thinking they should have Christian Kane (most known for Leverage) on this list. Then they showed a clip of Jensen Ackles singing with...you guessed it...Christian Kane! Though he did't make the list, he was still in the video. LOL. My sister lived close to Portland, OR when they were shooting Leverage there. She said that Christian could be found singing in local clubs from time to time. They also featured his voice in one of the Leverage episodes. I'm sure he didn't make this list because he is not as well known as the other actors, but he easily fits the category! His voice is wonderful.

I ❤️ Katey Sagal too. ALWAYS have! Every TV show. I was SOO excited about her TV show Rebel! WTF happened? I loved that show but evidently ALOT of people couldn't grasp the concept of it 🙄 She deserves to be on something else besides a recurring role as Dan's new wife on the Conner's. She's WAY too talented to settle for THAT!!!

Jennifer Lawrence! She has a beautiful voice, taking everyone by surprise in "The Hunger Games." Melissa Benoist is remarkable. She sang as Carole King as she played piano in the show memorialising King.
Melissa Benoist (Supergirl) was also in Glee - great voice!
Theo James has a set of pipes. Also, believe it or not, Tom Cruse did all his own singing in Rock of Ages...impressive!
Along with Catherine O'Hara... Eugene Levy in that same "mighty wind" movie... The two, complement each other so well on that soundtrack. Listen to "One More Time"... The song was played in the soft background of the movie, but was the most beautiful song on the album.

The interesting thing about Hugh Laurie is when he talks regularly, he has a crisp British drawl to his voice. It's amazing how he can speak in an American accent much less sing the blues. Impressive.
I agree both he and Kate Winslet can do great American accents. British seem to be unable to pronounce the letter R at the end of words.
Hugh Lairie, like the rest of the world outside North Korea, would have heard American music with his mother's milk.

Jarod Leto is an incredible singer. His band is 30 Seconds to Mars. Check out some of his songs. Beautiful lie, The killing (Bury Me), Attack, Was It a Dream are some of their songs. Jarod Leto also writes all their songs.

Furthermore; Dave's younger brother Ian Thomas is a legendary singer/songwriter from their native Canada ("Painted Ladies", "Hold On" which was covered by Santana, "The Runner" which was covered by Manfred Mann's Earth Band, & "Strange Brew" from Rick & Dave's movie of the same name amongst notables). Val Kilmer KILLED IT, portraying Jim Morrison. Esophageal cancer is hellish. Throat cancers of every variety are a nightmare for we who work within the music/theatre/film industry. My heart goes out to Kilmer.
