AGREE WITH YOU ON ALL THE HARD SONGS.....FOR FEMALES TO SING
Kelly Clarkson
I only liked about 4 of these. But then again I am an older person. The songs just weren't my style. I prefer that one song by Dolly..I understand she wrote it for Porter. He gave her her start. She received an opportunity but didn't want to take it. Porter told her to go ahead. I guess he knew you take the opportunity when it comes your way
That was amazing that you know enough about vocals that you could recognize and point out the strengths in these performers
Marcella Detroit
If you've ever seen Burlesque, you must have mad respect for Christina Aguilera and her versatility.
Abso-freakin-lutely
Christina is (in my opinion) is the main (and possibly only) reason to watch BURLESQUE
She is really amazing.
@@susanqtips Christina and Cher
@@sharonmateo9109 True enough. For me though, Cher's acting was a bit lackluster but Christina carried the show.
Hurt is one of the most powerful songs I ever heard with the way Christina Aguilera sings it. Such a masterpiece.
Are you referring to the original song "hurt" from the NIN? Originally. From Johnny Cash?
I agree
@@Leanne-mw8nm it isn’t the same song… but hurt by Johnny Cash is also amazing…
Hearing it always brings tears to my eyes... you can hear the emotions in her voice. Just beautiful and sincere.
Hurt and You Lost Me are my absolute favorites that didn't get played much!
Christina is a powerhouse, her voice gives me chills!
Voice Within
I love her voice 😊
i never heard of her, till recently.
@@imhere8380 where have you been?
@@-Olea- I know..its crazy. Perhaps I listen to too much Pat Metheny, Dimash, Anitia Hays, and Sade.
I think Christina Aguilera should have received more recognition. Her "Bound To You" was awesome, as well as many of her other songs. Her voice is beautiful.
Fully agree! Burlesque in general is quite underrrated. The movie may be meh, but the bso is just amazing
I totally agree. The sound track is awesome and so is Christina's dancing numbers. Love it.@@1tagardina612
I know right… Bound to you was just an absolutely beautiful song
Agree
I agree. Christina has so many great songs that sound impossible to do that she should have received more recognition.
Christina Aguilera's Hurt is difficult for anyone to sing.. she is an amazing singer I wish I could hear more of her these days.💗
Agreed
@Dominic Wileman Oooo I love that song. She sang it when she went on tour for Back to Basics 🥰
she said herself that her least favourite song to sing live is Hurt, purely cuz how difficult it is to perform. She said the sudden shifts from the louder belts to the softer falsetto is not easy to get right all the time. Other than that she said it's a vocally demanding song and the emotional lyrics require a powerful set of pipes to properly convey the emotions.
She's been singing in Spanish lately
.True.
Everything from Christina’s discography is hard. Not everybody can do that. She’s a true powerhouse and a real artist. We’re so blessed to have her.
Christina can sing circles around Britney, who admittedly has better material in general.
@@NickCC23 First, we’re talk about artists here, not about glorified dancers. Brittany’s music is for teenagers, no guiltily whatsoever. She’s a selling product of a record label, Christina is a singer, artist, performer, writer - full package. You can not even compare them. Second, next time you wanna comment and make a fool of yourself like you just did, think twice. Third, grow tf up.
@@PayneMaxx toxic Karen
@@nguyenat6088 Are you okay?
@@PayneMaxx first off, it's Britney, not Brittany. She's also an artist, a different one at that. I prefer Christina, but would never ever disrespect Britney, like what you're doing.
"Hurt" is such an amazing, beautiful, spine tingling song, and Christine's vocal is the same. Fantastic.
Song brings me to tears every time!
Cristina Aguilera's performance of ''It's a man's World'' in honor of James Brown, for me is ''The Best Woman's Performance ever''!
Try Joss Stone's cover...simply beautiful.
FIRE!
😂
"To sing a Whitney Houston song is very hard, but to sing a Mariah Carey song is a vocal suicide." - Simon Cowell
I believe that to be true. Mariah committed vocal suicide herself.
😂 fact❣️
I hope that the songs are not vocal suicide.
That are great Songs.
All Stars are the reasons, why the music industrie still lives by singing Originals and Cover-Versions. In German we call that:" Erlaubt ist, was gefällt." (If you love it, it's allowed)
@@janpcsMariah can’t sing her songs live. They do tricks in the studio. Whitney often outdid her studio songs live. Beyonce had no business on there. Adele either.
Hah exactly! I kill myself and resurrect every twice a week at least:))
Mariah Carey's songs are all tough to sing. She employs all registers, from low to high, as well as various riffs and runs, whispers, and falsettos. Queen thingz. FACTS! 👑
Who is Mariah???
I Don't know Her...
I really haven’t paid attention to Mariah.
since I was in like seventh or eighth grade when she used to be popular,
so I didn’t…” know about Her..
Who is she .. ?
indeed what She did ?
@@Park.Yeon_Seok01 is this sarcasm or something?
Getting older.
Mariah lost her good voice at a 1990s performance.
Now She can't hit the high notes anymore.
it's not interesting to me anymore
now I'm starting to forget about it. and left her songs and music forever
Mariah is getting old, she can't hit the high notes anymore... she's almost 60 now. She lost her touch. and lost the sound of her whistle...
@@objectiveperson2372. We're talking about her challenging songs, which a normal human being like you can't even sing, so shut up if you don't understand.
Minnie Ripperton introduced us to whistle notes. RIP dear Minnie 🙏.
Thank you for noticing Hurt by Christina. That was the song I absolutely fell in love with and mad respect for her skills, outside of the obvious hits. Anyhoo thanks for sharing!❤
Whitney singing smiling gives me chills 😍😍😍
Me too 😊😊
They don't actually sing, they just lip sync in music videos.
@@bosko41 Whitney smiled also when she sang live. Just watch her performance of “ saving my love for you” at David Letterman’s show
@@Thegazelle1000 Yes! She sang gracefully live and no lip sync or pre recorded passages like some others 🤭
@@bosko41 Yeah clever boy, never seen a life performance of Whitney ? In her prime she topped her studio versions by miles.
Toni Braxton took the cake cause everyone can go up but to go down deep and sound like that - her sound is still the most deepest and lowest yet passionate sensual and given ❤
Agreed. I think the only other singer that nails the lows effortlessly is Amy Lee, from Evanescence.
@@Meg_88 Karen Carpenter
Idk, TBoz from TLC
Agree, Patsy Cline too
Toni is so underrated
I will always love you - Whitney Houston
I'm bound to you - Christina Aguilera
Emotions - Mariah Carey
These three make my wanna cry, they are so hard to sing but I refuse to quit practicing...
Mariah and Whitney are unstoppable ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m SHOCKED that Lisa Fischer made this list. She is SO underrated. Thank you for recognizing her! 💜
Putting her at #18 though is just crazy!
She is the combination of Mariah and Whitney. Her LIVE performances are flawless.
She fell behind Beyonce....😮...I'm so shocked...I thought the top 10 would be Christina Lisa Céline and Mariah
Never heard of her til this video
Right?!!!
20. My all - Mariah Carey
19. My hear will go on - Celine Dion
18. How can I ease the pain - Lisa Fisher

Wheres fighter by xtina?
maybe Mariah used to sing songs that were difficult, when she was young,,, now she is entering old age, she is old both physically and voice, her vocal abilities have decreased drastically, and she cannot maintain her vocal quality, like other divas who have old,, or a diva who is one age with him.....
@@The_Colorado everybody’s voice changes it is just a fact of life no matter how well you take care of yourself! Mariah still has a great voice is it like the 90s absolutely NOT! You can hear how she rearranges her songs to sing them now! Her voice has really changed since 2010, she needs more vocal rest for sure to sound great
Yea we know how the video goes. Why do ppl do this crap
don't talk about Mariah,
her voice has changed.
Old age factor, and now her voice doesn't sound good anymore.
I think Beyonce, mastered almost 2 decades to perfection.
the songs are better and more in demand
Ann Wilson of Heart ❤
Amy Lee from Evanescence... her music over the years still captivates me to this day and Speak To Me was one of her best!!!! and if you heard her hitting those high notes in her songs like My Last Breath, The Last Song I'm Wasting on You, & Hi-Lo (listen to SYNTHESIS for this one), & Your Star..... just to name a few from different albums i can't say they all had the whistling note, but in these songs u feel it!!!!
Amy Lee is amazing! My Last Breath is one of the most beautiful songs that I’ve ever heard. I heard her perform the Synthesis album at Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh. She was incredible! I like her voice better than any other performer.
Have you heard her live?
@@UV-mu9ox
Not in person but I had her album ANYWHERE BUT HOME & on close inspection she had a silver locket that matched a golden one I used to have! 😁
Gladly that Unbreak My Heart is on the list. Not all hard songs required belting and high notes. Even a low register notes can be hard
Agree.... that whistle thing doesn't make sense to me, you don't even understand what they are saying.
@@Tcentenom yes. That's why Toni Braxton is a powerful singer because she can make her songs hard to sing even she can't whistle. Almost all of her songs are hard to sing like "Another Sad Love Song". Whistling voice is too overrated for me.
I love Unbreak My heart, but I'm finding it very hard to listen to it from the end of 2021 .
Toni Braxton has an amazing and beautiful voice. I fully agree, glad it's on the list here too. "Unbreak My Heart" is a gorgeous, haunting song, and is highly underrated in my opinion.
@@VJAllison1974 haunting is an understatement. This was the last song I was listening to hours before my fave singer and friend died. Actually this song was covered by him in the group he was in. He sang all the low parts . It's so hard and we all miss him.
Celine, Mariah and Whitney can literally fill this whole list
Christina and Jennifer Hudson too (if only she had more hits).
Vocal trinity for A reason .. !
Xrina Aguilera and Ariana Grande too
Christina has an amazing voice.
@@jathnielrivera223 Ariana grande? She wishes
I am glad you included Minnie, as I started listening to the picks, I got to think of her and "Loving you", waiting to see if she will be mentioned. When I heard Arianas bird-like tones, it also reminded me of Minnie.
Have being years and i still cry everytime i hear Hurt from Christina
I miss Aretha Franklin in this list.
Especially "Think" is a really hard song to sing! Also "Mama knows best", Jessie J. is very hard to sing....
Christina's 'Hurt'' song breaks me EVERY SINGLE TIME! I'm not a crier but this one hits me hard.
Same
Especially when you combine in with the video clip. I just can’t handle it
Amazing list…and many of my predictions were on the list, but one I thought would be on there was “Blue” by LeAnn Rimes. She has a powerful voice and it’s a challenging song.
I got the pleasure of seeing Lisa Fischer at a Luther Vandross concert. She literally sounds the exact same in real life as she does in her video/album. Her voice is pitch perfect. It was awesome! I wish her career would have taken off as a solo artist, but I think she wanted to stay a background singer.
To me...she has the perfect voice and remains my all time favorite singer. Hers is a mix between Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey! She has the depth and power of Whitney while also possessing the vocal range and high whistle tones that define a Mariah Carey track. She is definitely underrated, but it is widely known that she resisted a solo career and was actually persuaded to record the one album we got by Luther Vandross amongst others that did not want her talent to go unrecognized!
"Hurt" makes me cry every time I listen to it
I have to say Ann Wilson from Heart. Her rendition of Stairway to Heaven during the Kennedy Center Honors was magnificent. Robert Plant himself even praised her saying he was "overwhelmed."
Yes! Unbelievable. Is it Mary or Ann? But SO great!
Literally was thinking the same thing she can hit some notes!!!
Totally agree
I agree that Ann Wilson is the queen of music, especially in her early years, the first four albums of Heart are masterpieces. Her voice is the best for me - still!
Bowled me over as well
I totally thought “Emotions” should have been near the top. I didn’t think it would beat out Vision of Love, but I think it’s way harder if nothing but for the tempo with those runs and whistle notes. Mariah is a vocal genius.
I LOVE EMOTIONS AND I ACTUALLY CAN SING ITT WITH WHISTLE NOTES 😍😍😍
My All is the hardest imo.
Anne Willson ... Heart
Patty Smyth ... Scandal
Aretha Franklin ... Etta James ... Tina Turner ... Janis Joplin, Taylor Dayne ... That is my short list ...
It ain't all about those whistle tones ... Its about the passion too
I was sure there would be at least one deserved spot for Tina. It's a shame, considering that beyond her inimitable voice and remarkable, powerful performances, she paved the way for many.
Anne Wilson is incredible. Also for more contemporary rock, Lzzy Hale from Halestorm. I used to work at a club Halestorm performed at when they were teenagers & her voice gave me the chills. So much power.
Wow
Seeing Christina Aguilera here, is a once in a blue moon. She needs more videos here
Thank you for including Lisa Fischer. I've never understood why she didn't become a major superstar after How Can I Ease The Pain.
She wasn't interested in furthering her solo career. Instead, she prefers being a background singer
The industry will only allow 1 to succeed.
I think she hated the fame and she just wanted to sing... there was a great documentary about background singers and they told her story beautifully
It was her choice
Súper strong song indeed
I’m so thankful I was in the 80’s & 90’s with these great solo artistes singing powerfully then now a-days … ❤🎶✨
I adore every singer on your list. WOW! What beautiful voices they were blessed with.❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Olivia Newton-John "Hopelessly Devoted to You" Huge range from a non-belter, and considered one of the hardest songs to cover, and she nailed it live into her 60s
I have a lot of difficult singing these songs therefore I must be a woman.
Good one! That’s one of my favorite songs! I rewind it over and over when watching Grease!
Where is I’d lang? Homophobic shit
Ahhh, Livvy had a very ordinary voice, limited range and quite weak. Sorry sport, I watched her from the earliest days of the Go show, saw her live with her bestie pat Caroll, (supporting The Strangers), before she left for England. Very average.
agree to disagree @@markhill9275
Karen Carpenter’s low notes are hauntingly beautiful.
She was incredible!
Karen had an Angel voice, she was marvellous and no need to make such "beltings" performances.. a simple note and all we were under her charm and in paradise. These New singers seem as sport women, the one shouting stronger is the winner . Please learn from karen, we are all in love when she sings.❤
Karen was unbeatable
Superstar !
And impossible for many women to sing!!
Christina’s hurt is tops on my list. No one else could sing that song and sound that good.
Enjoyed this VERY MUCH!
Thank you for sharing ❤
I think Celine’s Ashes is harder to sing than My Heart Will Go On but let’s be honest, Celine can also easily fill the 20 slots because she has remained a powerhouse vocalist.
Facts I personally think that she deserved number one
All celine songs are difficult to sing! I SURRENDER, THEN YOU LOOK AT ME, THE REASON
I feel like she's also impressive because she sings in two languages with English being her second language. Growing up French Canadian we listened to a lot of her French repertoire. This list was fun though :) Love Whitney and Mariah too of course - how lucky are we to have lived at this time with so many amazing voices!
To Love You More & Loved Me Back to Life are also very difficult too!
PLEASE LISTEN TO HER NEW ALBUM LOVE AGAIN ITS WONDERFUL ESP WAITING ON YOU, The Gift, ILL BE AND LOVE OF MY LIFE!
Christina Aguilera one of the best and most underrated artist out there.
how is she underrated?
She was never underrated
Just because she’s not as relevant now doesn’t mean she was underrated lol.
Christina Aguilera canta muito bem as melhores cantoras além de Kelly ckarkson e Celine Dion para mim as 3 meu Deus que dons lindos ❤❤❤
She’s not relevant now becuz she chooses to be out but underrated never. However, I think her choice of songs could hv been better. I don’t think most of her songs showed off jerassice talent the way they should hv. She chose “runs” instead of just plain powerful singing on a powerful song. Just becuz u can hit 20 notes a second doesn’t mean u should.
That's a very carefully chosen list which probably involved extremely hard work to compile. Congrats! Hats off! ❤ Very precise!
I am so excited to join this channel and support the creators
Listening to Whitney Houston, makes me want to cry. Such a phenomenal voice, all the beautiful songs, what a talent. Singing with the angels.
Didn’t die from cancer tho 😮
Too bad she destroyed her voice and threw her life away to become an addict. That woman had talent other singers would kill for. And we're talking about it instead of listening to it because she cared more about getting high. Damn Whitney! Such a waste!
I also love Bound to You by Christina from the Burlesque soundtrack. The vocals are amazing. Ariana's whistle notes on My Hair are also amazing and so unexpected. Literally whistling her chorus and it's insane.
Bound to you, yes. Thought I was the only one who noticed. Amazing!
Agree 💯 One of My favorite songs 💜💜💜
Yesss my hair is way tooo difficult to sing
That was awesome! Thank you for this treat! All of my favorite singers.
Great sound design! All around. Love the music choice and composition, clear dialog, sound effects, foly, etc. All around fantastic sound
What amazing female vocalists we've been blessed with. "Vision of Love" made me jump in my seat when Mariah hit the high notes. Jennifer Holliday and Xtina made me cry. Whitney's voice was otherworldly. Every one of these performances is extraordinary.
Christina sang, Bound to you, in the movie Burlesque. Incredible!
What I love about this list is the absolute variety. Every aspect of tone and timber seems to be represented. Great list🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I love listening to the sound of voice of Miss Mojo. Your intonation & narration presentation are soothing & melodiously pleasant to my ears and heart. Qualities not all audio narration presentors have. ❤
I can’t believe Edina Menzel’s “defying gravity” from wicked wasn’t on this list! That song is INSANELY difficult to sing! It has a combination of low and high register notes, vocal jumps, quiet singing, belting, breath control, and tremendous vocal stamina! It’s so difficult to sing that females auditioning for talent shows, and roles in musicals are actually discouraged from even attempting it!
Idina
na, Wiljemai Verkaik did it better, why? you don't hear her breathing - also the hardest role to sing is that of the maid in dance of the vampires
I think The Wizard and I is way harder. One long note through "that's all to do with meeeeee..... and I'll stand there with the wizard" is insane
Probably because it isn't a pop song. Showtunes would be another great category though; I love to belt that one for sure!
Evanescence's bring me to life should definitely have been on this list.
It has beautiful soft, quiet notes and then raw powerful notes that make this song one of the best.
Yes!!! I was going to say that!!!
I was definitely thinking that it was going to be on this list. Amy Lee is a musical goddess who doesn't get the credit she deserves. So many people butcher that song in karaoke
She has better vocals than that, for instance, End of the Dream, Lithium, Whisper. Her singing improves with each album.
If you are talking about Amy Lee's voice, Floor Jansen best known as the singer of Nightwish blows her away. If you've not listened to Floor, you will be in for a treat, both for her vocal range and ease of singing complex songs.
It's an amazing song but not particularly hard to sing, honestly
Thank you for this compilation. So many beautiful amazing voices!
This list was amazing. But i can't believe you didn't put in Tori Amos. Her melodies can be very complicated, and her breath control is absolutely incredible. Her range may not go into whistle tones, but many of her songs are difficult to sing.
Also, Bjork is a powerhouse vocalist with a very unique quality. Her songs are difficult to pull off well.
Agreed with both.
Hurt by Christina is one of my all time favorites . And for me Celine Dion has never sang a bad song . She is phenomenal ❤
Christina and Blake sound great together.
Wonderful comment ☑️☑️☑️
Maybe everyone here in the comments is younger than I, but I remember just how amazing Linda Ronstadt was. She sang opera, rock, country, pop, 1940’s classics and in Spanish. 🎉
You are so right. There is no other singer in modern history with Linda's incredible vocal power, purity, control, passion, versatility and integrity.
Thank you, Donna. I am 74 and agree with you about the talent of Linda Ronstadt. I am a big fan of Ann Wilson (love Dreamboat Annie), but I also love the incredible talent of Aretha Franklin. (I mean, girl, who else could stand in for Luciano Pavrotti? One of my biggest regrets is not seeing him live before he was taken from us.)
So true I was lucky to hear her warm up few times as a child. At the time didn't know how famous she was.
I agree! Linda, Ann Wilson of Heart and Joni Mitchell should be included for sure! I actually could go on and on… Carly Simon, Sheryl Crow…
@@JulieGreilh Depends on your taste. I love Nora Jones' voice, but really dislike Stevie Nicks.
Yes! Burlesque is 1 of my fav movie! Christina is amazing! Triple threat! Act, dance & of course her spectacular voice! What a extremely talented beauty!❤
One of my very favorites!❤
And love Cher's solo too.
All i Wanted - Paramore, Hayley's voice is amazing and she has a huge range, but singing that song is hard af
That song will forever give me chills.
Made me so sad to hear.
Notably missing from this list is Roberta Flack: "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face," which is sung so softly, melancholic-ally, nostalgically, yet so emotionally.
I agree. Loudness does not automatically mean better vocals. It’s actually easier to sing loudly.
@@ElsieDee001 True! So many beautiful voices with great writing! People tend to forget life existed before 1990.
I agree
@@ElsieDee001yup, it’s always the fixation with higher notes. But it makes sense as higher notes means bigger force of breath needed to be contained & controlled so it’s arguably harder than normal. But people dismisses low notes performances too much that it’s not fair
agreed
Donna Summer, such an underrated, incredible artist. I recommend Love's about to change my heart and Enough is Enough ft. Barbara Streisand.
People don’t go beyond few decades far otherwise Mac Arthur Park suite should have been in the list by Donna Summer
I do love Whitney Houston's I will always love you. I also love Celine Dion's "All coming back to me now ."
Whitney's last performance of I Will Always Love You was by far the widest register change, and biggest crescendo, never to be matched, or replicated.
And it wasnt even close to her most difficult song to sing
I think that Kelly Clarkson should be included. She is one of the greatest vocalist right now and she is usually so underrated. Honestly, her voice it's right there next to most names on this list.
Yes, mad respect for her. I wouldn’t say she’s underrated though.
I am shocked that she didn't make the list. 😯
This is a difficult to sing list...not the best singers list.
Amen and hallelujah 🙏❤️
Since You've Been Gone is so hard to sing, that even she has issues with it live sometimes! definitely should have been on the list.
Mariah's entire discography is vocal suicide and could fill this entire list.💯👑
Vocal suicide 🤣
Yup. I get so light headed, dizzy, out of breath and my throat hurts trying to do everything Mariah does in one song even though I’m doing them all wrong. 😂
I know I just listened to Emotions by her and wow those notes she hits is incredible
@@BombshElle_7someone dumb and ignorant commenting 😂

I am so happy that Lisa Fisher was included. That song was phenomenal!
Evanescence - My Immortal should be on this list. She is an amazing but underated singer.
Absolutely!!!
I totally agree! Amy is a fantastic singer. ❤
She should've had at LEAST an honorable mention!
Her real voice is horrific
How is she underrated? 🤔
I love that Minnie Riperton was included in this list! Maya Rudolph's Momma❤ she had a beautiful voice!
i didn´t know she was her mom ,i learned something today !

Listen to the end of her song, Minnie so beautifully with love calls to her daughter, Maya, it always makes me well up with emotion.
I have her original album and can't bring myself to sell it. She was special.
Sorry but I really hate that song, those high notes really irritate my ears. I’m not a fan of whistle notes. Maybe I’m a minority but not everybody likes this song but I am sorry she died so young just like Eva Cassidy.
Lea Michele gave many great performances on Glee.. and of course on Broadway.
Don’t Rain On my Parade is great but Barbra sang A PIECE of SKY with great power !
Everything from Lara Fabian and Nicole Scherzinger. Have you heard Nicole slaying The Phantom of the Opera?
Great list!!!
I would have choosen “The Voice Within” by Christina Aguillera instead of “Hurt”.
Honorable Mentions:
- Since You Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson
- Good Girl by Carrie Underwood
- Stone Cold by Demi Lovato
- Too Little Too Late by JoJo
- I Wanna Love You Forever by Jessica Simpson
- You Oughta Know by Alanis Morissette
- My Immortal by Amy Lee (Evanescence)
- If I Ain’t Got You by Alicia Keys
- Run by Leona Lewis
- No Air by Jordin Sparks
“You Don’t Do It For Me” by Demi is also a good one for the list.
Es más difícil HURT, incluso Christina dijo en el show de Kelly Clarkson que es la canción que menos le gusta cantar por lo agotadora que es.
This solidifies that I grew up in one of the best musical decades: the 1990s when we listened to these cds on repeat.
Yaaaaa

Dionne Warwick All in Love is Fair ❤
Thank you so much
Thankful for these songs ❤
I would add

And
Better in Time by Leona Lewis!
ALL OF THESE WOMEN slayed their performances in each song so effortlessly, PURE TALENT!!!!
I agree 👍
Whitney Houston’s Didn’t We Almost Have It All, Saving All My Love For You, Miracle and All The Man That I Need should’ve been on the list. She really needs her own countdown.
I agree
Whitney cannot be in ANY of the Catholic with these singers (much as I respect Christina A's voice too) - Nobody (nobody!) has a voice like Whitneys - & in her early 20s, watching & listening to her, just going into a "Recording Booth" as it used to be, & singing a song that Jellybean had just handed her; with all the ad libs & runs that she added; the first take being just perfect, her Talent & voice was unmatched & will remain so, I think - Whitney believed her voice was a Gift From God; & am sure she was right; such a shame what eventually happened, but her voice is still beyond compare🙏💜🇬🇧💜
@@Seraphine07F you probably should listen to Glennis Grace ( Dutch singer)
@@Seraphine07F agreed!!!
Yes, this should be here
All great and unforgettable voices!!! So sad We cant hear more of Cristina Aguilera. Her performance at the Film Burlesque was fantastic!!! 🙌🙌🙌
In my opinion, Never enough by Loren Allred should be here! Great list though!
So glad to see Lisa Fishers “How can I ease the pain” on this list🤗
You forgot Ann Wilson of Heart who has one of the most amazing voices ever
😮
Facts
So freakin true, well said.
I think the issue is a lot of songs that really SHOW OFF the impossible stuff Ann can do and are insane vocally?
Are typically covers only her fans know that might not have a studio version or be on an album. So they're more obscure.
If you say "rain on my parade" 3x in front of a mirror, rachel berry will stand behind you😂
Loving the recognition for Hurt.
I would have included 'It's All Coming Back To Me Now' by Celine Dion
I think nobody can top Ann Wilson singing Stairway to Heaven, live at the Kennedy Center awards before an audience that included Led Zeppelin. Anyone trying to sing Robert Plant faces a major challenge just like anyone trying to sing Freddie Mercury. But she sang magnificently and Robert Plant himself was moved to tears.
Agree!!! it also brings tears to my eyes very time I hear this version. Actually I like it better than the original Led Zeppelin, sorry Robert, it's a matter of taste.
@@VONOBER I actually will turn the LZ version off, as I dislike it that much. I will voluntarily listen to the Hart tribute version without issue. I also would add Dancing Queen in here as there is a 2 octave jump in 6 notes. ABBA songs are an exercise in vocal gymnastics from start to finish.
@@AlonyaJ thanks for the info about Dancing Queen, I never noticed it is so difficult to sing as it sounds so natural and beautiful.
💯 was just thinking about that performance!
Christina Aguilera , Beyonce and Whitney Houston - RARE singers.
Celine Dion - the Queen of all sopranos.
Mariah Carey - the Song Bird of the whole world.
Adele, Sia and Bonnie Tayler - Very Rare Singers.
Toni Braxton and Jennifer Holiday - The Story Teller Singer..
All are GREAT 💕🥰.. !!!!
Yes...so it is...
Who’s Beyoncé
@@susanstorm7910 You're being sarcastic I am assuming?
@@Leanne-mw8nm no
Well, if Celine Dion is queen of all sopranos, then Beyonce is the queen of all mezzo-sopranos))
Cindy Lauper's cover of "At Last" is sublime. I think Xtina's "Reflection" is probably difficult too.
All of these are great choices (and many of them are super obvious). Thank you for including Lisa Fischer (one of the most underrated vocalists ever in my opinion). But I do think I need to point out some other female vocalists who are often neglected, as they were never given the attention they deserved:
Patti Labelle - Somewhere Over The Rainbow
Stephanie Mills - Home
Chaka Khan - Through The Fire
Tamia - You Put A Move On My Heart
Deborah Cox - Nobody Is Supposed To Be Here
Angela Winbush - Angel
Rachelle Ferrell - I Can Explain
Teena Marie - Casanova Brown
I think Celine has a number of songs that are harder than "My Heart Will Go On".
Which ones? I'm curious
@@jenpries8464 I think, All by myself, Power of love.. probably some others but it's late. My mind is mush. Lol
It is so True about Christine Aguilera Incredible voice!!! Her range & the fact that she can sing in so many different ways just shows ge Talented she is . I don’t think I ever hv heard of another singer that can hit so many , many different notes , to so many many different songs from one person !! She is Incredible !!
Liked justin timberlaked said that he never heard a singer had many notes ,xtina is just an amazing singer shes great.
You missed Nicole Scherzinger singing Don’t cry for me Argentina. Gives me the chills.
I admire every single single they all have incredible voices like Angels from heaven I stand n support all them I love them all and they all my favorite . When I listen to them is like being in the clouds of heaven . I wish them lots blessing may GOD bless them for their amazing music n voices .
I think Pat Benatar should have at least made this list with at least one song. She also covered Wuthering Heights and did an amazing job.
Promises in the Dark❤
Christina Aguilera doesn’t get the credit she deserves! She has one of the most beautiful & powerful voices of ALL TIME!!! That’s true talent.💕
On The Voice, the early seasons, she hits some amazing notes just offhand, no prep, while coaching. She has an incredible natural talent and voice, imo, maybe the best voice of the generation.
I agree with you completely. Additionally, she sings flawlessly in Spanish. I highly recommend listening to "Pero me acuerdo de ti."
I think she gets the credit, but i see there are a lot of ppl that hate her and thinks she's too loud or she extra when singing which i hate cause she's one of the best singers ever. I love to hear her sing and the passion and strength she puts into her songs.
@@julianaortiz8794Christina also has Hispanic heritage
Yes Christina is so talented!!$
I had no idea that Minnie Riperton died so young. I love "Lovin' you", I sing it often in Karioke.
