This tutorial is the first part in a series on the brachial plexus, describing the basic structure of the brachial plexus in terms of it's roots, trunks, divisions and cords and also the location of the brachial plexus in relation to other structures.

    The plexus is formed by the anterior rami (divisions) of the cervical spinal nerves C5, C6, C7 and C8, and the first thoracic spinal nerve, T1.

    Wait but doesn't the cervical part of the spine go from C1 to C7? As far as I know, C8 doesn't exist?

      im a bit late but its for the new entry, just in case, the cervical nerves are from c1 to c8, because the first nerve is going above the c1, all the other are ordinary, so they run under the vertebral bodies
