    On the seat pan you can pick up a cheap skateboard and use it. That way it will have the kick up to hold your butt in on the rear and be wood so staples hold the cover on (easier and more secure than most customer grade glues). Bonus you can use the other end of the deck to do another seat. I pick them up from yard sales for a few bucks just for this purpose.
    For paint I suggest painting the engine cover tan to match the bike frame. I'm not even a camo fan but it looks pretty good on this bike.

    You could take one of the rubber drain plugs from the bed of a pickup truck and drill the same size hole as The one in the bed and wala you have a plug for your toolbox !! You'll be able too take off and replace as needed. Just a thought !!

    I've been using Walbro carbs and most often they come with a larger jet as well as a choke. They make them for replacing dirt bike and 4 wheeler carbs so I make a custom manifold but have really been impressed with them. Fact I put one on my kids minibike like this one we got from tractor supply. It really woke that thing up. I used an atv muffler and it runs awesome with a bit of backpressure. Just what I've been running hope the info helps.

    I bought that same bike lift today at harbor frieght. Got a heck of a deal.. 269.00 and 20% off of that. 230 something after tax.. gotta find my ticket here.. They accomdated me well because I been waiting on it. They had been out of stock for a couple of months.And I spend like 700 a month in there anyway.. mostly on stuff that I resell online..or try to sell anyway.. anyway I plan to build add on's that can be taken on or off. So I can use it for atvs and sideby sides. And still take them off for motorcycles... and maybe put a wide pipe base attachment at the floor on one end so it doesnt try to turn over with atvs on it.. my shop is 36 × 60 and a much bigger mess than yours.. cant keep it neat.. to many project left overs and to much stuff I have just in case I need it.. all in the way in there.. have a collector truck stored on the lift and one stored underneath it.. need more space.. but im a little older I think.. Im 45 and things acculate over the years.

    I work as a go kart mechanic, & I realise there is a good chance you have already done this, but have you tried changing the setting on the round-slide on the inside of the mikuni? There is a small surclip in there that you can adjust by moving it's position up or down slightly, which can help run the carb slightly richer or leaner. Changing the jet is a sure fire way of changing it to run richer or leaner, but you have to buy the jets for it, so it may be worth trying to adjust the setting on the carb slide as a free way of fine tuning the air/fuel mixture. It may or may not work for you, but it helped me fine tune my heavily modified GX200 (kicking out about 18hp) which was running a little bit lean before. Generally speaking, the lower to the bottom of the slide the surclip is placed, the richer it should run.

    • @RedBeardsGarage
      @RedBeardsGarage  7 лет назад

      We actually moved the clip up on notch and are going to try to do another. It has a little bit too big of jets in it at the moment. Think it might be flooding itself out on topend

    Good build there.. i had a baja mini very much like the coleman. Wish I hadnt sold it at the petit jean mtn swap meet now.. but tripled my money..guy really wanted it so he didnt have to walk the whole swap meet area up there. Should have just rented it to him prolly.. what do you think of stretching the frame a little bit.. just a lil more wheel base? Raise the fork tower area up some maybe.. no chopper type thing though just longer like the Rokon bikes.. Im not a small man either.. my knees have no room on these.. i have other bikes.. yamaha zuma and my 83 honda passport kinda a tossup.. but i still like this mini bikes.. they are just fun.. make ya fell like a kid again Maybe is why they appeal so much.

    Hey Red Beard, I added electric start to my Predator 212 4000w generator. I'm not sure if you know how and what parts to do it with, as I haven't found anyone explaining the process it posting videos. What I ended up with, was a 7hp Kohler (Honda clone) ringed flywheel with the Honda GX200 starter and key switch kit. Because my generator already had a 12 volt 8.3A outlet, I just tapped it to charge the battery. The key switch has a diode on the brown wire, to prevent battery drain. I have pictures, if you'd like to see. I still need to get a battery holder, but I made a temporary one in the meantime.

    As far as colors go, I'd paint the engine and frame the same desert tan, with green and brown camo like the fenders and tank/storage compartment! With aluminum handlebars. Then all controls and switches in black. Then as far as the gas tank? I would remove the only on the engine. Then try to add one inside that compartment! Or remove that also and find a nice aluminum tank! Does that new engine have a governor? Is there s V Twin built to put in one? That would give more tq and hp, while sounding great!

    Why did you route the exhaust pipe over to the right side of the bike? Why not go straight back with it, along the left side? Or through the rear frame tubes?

    Nice minis bro! Do you have any videos on replacing the ignition coil in a Coleman CT200U-Ex? I believe my exhaust ran too close to the plastic plug peice that connects to the spark plug, got brittle and broke. Any suggetsions would be greatly appreciated.
