YUM yum yum yum LOVE IT! You can tell from the "sticky" dough that the buns are going to be soft, tender, melt in your mouth delicious!!!! I love how you use "regular" butter, sugar, cream cheese, milk, in abundance, none of this "lite" skimpy, wimpy low fat no flavor ingredients!!! Thank you, Rik!!!

I’m an American whose Grandma was a Scots-Irish descendent from Tennessee who never used measuring cups & spoons, or mixers of any type - so “runnyish” is a perfect texture description for me. 🩷 My Grandma made the best Parkerhouse rolls ever! She poured butter over them before baking, they were just as good as donuts or any kind of sweets to me.
My mom and grandmother always added golden raisins and pecans in the filling with the cinnamon and brown sugar, I've been thinking about these all day. Mmmmm

Just had to make these today. Came out beautiful. Mind, I did notice when you were rolling up there was trouble ahead(edit required 🤣). It was worth a try, but much easier to just beat cinnamon etc with softened butter, it spreads easily and doesn’t run away when you roll it up.
I use fresh yeast. Shall be trying your recipe using fresh. Your buns look so soft and light. Can almost smell the cinnamon. Thanks to your wonderful straightforward talk and show how too make: I am able to produce scrumptious meals and desserts/pudding. Love your round the world dishes 🌍🌎 Great to still be learning useful skills and cultures. 💞
I've tried making these a few times but the roll was nowhere as soft as yours. I wasn't going to make them again but seeing yours, I've changed my mind.Those buns look as soft as butter.
I just made this today. Not as soft as yours. I used the Kitchenaid stand mixer with the dough hook and turned the speed to #2 and let it run for just shy of 7 minutes. Nice and sticky. They rose beautifully. I followed your guidance every step. I had to bake in a regular oven at 350 deg for 25 minutes to get just slightly browned on top. But alas. Drier than yours. Should I try again but use a little less flour?
I know he is a sweet, generous man and I am willing to bet that he makes many versions of his recipes before presenting on line and I am willing to bet that he shares with neighbors, the film and production crew, friends, and he probably donates delicious goodies to those in need. He is the kind to never brag about it but I feel in my heart that he generously shares his delicious creations with everyone he knows, including his wonderful wife!

Hello Rik! Thank You...I can almost smell & taste them now! ❤ Just like the ones I used to make for my Dad years ago. One tiny difference was, I saved the part where you mixed the extra cin/sugar & butter together to spread over the top after I got them rolled, cut & in the pans. (A bit easier to handle). We topped one pan with icing & the other pan with lots of butter. I know what I'll be making tonight! 😊
Nice. You are correct in the many ways they are made, many also that are two sweet. It is the same with pies especially the pecan pie. My mom made a cinamon roll when I was a kid that wasn't a bread dough. Sadly I never asked before she passed away.

Over here in Canada and shrinkflation and ingredient substitutions are literally making the Pillsbury rolls that we used to tolerate now bitter and disgusting. These are so pure and legitimate and worth every ounce of effort to do it right!
