This strategy is old, but gold. Since there are relic weapons, this strategy works better than in any MH before. I used the GS because I wanted to benefit from the sleep multiplier, but it should also work with SnS or Duals very well :)
+Emishimaru - Sama there is something called "true raw". Every weapon class has a hidden modifier that is used to calculate its real power. You divide the attack shown in the game by the class modifier. Since the GS modifier is smaller than the SA/Hammer, the GS probably has higher raw.
+Emishimaru - Sama Actually there's one GS that has a higher raw than relics. The same goes for most weapon classes actually. The Ukanlos GS has a raw of over 1800. And the Akantor GS ties with the best relics if honed for attack, similar to the Seregios bow. Relics have loads of other perks though, such as status or godly elemental, natural purple, and slots. Because relics unfairly reward people who either get lucky or cheat by being absurdly broken. Unless you're a gunner. Then they suck.
There´s the event quest with the apex Diablos. Yes It´s apex, but It´s fun when you solo him with HBG,especially If your set has Evasion +3, Fleet Feet and Recoil Down +2. [+2 for my Furia Sedition =]
I remember farming White Monoblos Horns what way. Trapping, too get free hits in whit Plesioth Duals, Sleepbombing, repeat. Diablos, Diablos, I love him. First I was frustrated, but now im pretty found of him. Hes in my Top 5 now. Then he digs in, run in a whide Circle, so he misses you. Also stick between Legs and Head, ore under his Legs. You get rarely hit by, and can hit him pretty good. Sonic dont work while hes enraged, so bring Challenger Skill, ore pay attention too his state. Also, Apex likes too run twice at you, so if he hits you once, stay on the Ground a little longer and let him run over you. And a little Tipp, the Event Apex Diablos had lesser healt and didnt start as Apex, hes the best Farmingtool for Lg, and normal Zenit Wyvernstones.

I have LBG and HBG hame sets, but it's so freaking hard to find people to join a hame room :( Besides, the Jawblade skin that Rajang drops for Beshackled GSs just burns my eyes out, so ugly! That's why I do the B.Yian Kut Ku, cause I think that skin is awesome :D But thanks for the comment.

The Merchand? He multiply Items, also you can by Barrels from the normal Shop. And you can get Bombs from the Old man in Everwood and you can multiply Items whit Frenzycrystals.
You say charging doesn't affect status, but I did testing in MH3U where charging a GS did indeed scale up the status done (I think it was close to double if not slightly higher. Its pretty easy to test yourself as well) So have you done testing to show thy didn't bring that mechanic over from the new game? I haven't received a GS with high enough status to properly test it myself.

The damage loss of a Para or Sleep GS was just to big for me in MH3U. Relic weapons dont have these disadvantages and sleep seemed to be much more useful than any Element on a GS for me. So you could probably be right, maybe they changed it.
There is no such site. Every weapon has different stats. The higher a weapon's sleep value is OR the higher a monster's sleep weakness is the fewer hits it willl take to put it to sleep
I don't think I'll ever reach this point in Monster Hunter. I admire the people who are that good to do this kind of stuff, but there's a certain trace of "wrongness" for me. That aside from the fact that wouldn't be capable of coming up with such strategies.
dude my hr is 800 and i got alot of very good relics ,the best l got is GS 1680 para 400 3 slots and long purple with sharp+1 l really did a great runs with this gs really good that the G class monster r no longer challenge for me( litterly ) and now am soloing 140 gq monsters with this relic if i got your relic !! , maybe l will not play this game any more XD dude your relic is OP as f..k !!!!!
Meh, i think i'll stick with my Blizzard and Blaze. Kinda hard to finish 136+ GQs in the first place to only have a chance to get good relics. Don't take my comment too seriously.

You should do hame runs. Rajang drops way more rewards in the end of each quest. On top of that u get more HR points.

Do the apex Diablos event quest, you have a good chance of getting a hard horn in the regular rewards, and get zenith wyvern gems to boot.
