The reason that mewtwo is so light os probably because his regular weight and mewtwo x weight would make him a heavy, and they likely did not want that, so they probably used his mewtwo y weight of 72.8 lbs (33 kg) which makes him super light. But they obviously had to use one of his canon weights, cant just make crap up when there is already something in the canon that conflicts with the made up crap.
Also thinking about it, his final smash has him as mewtwo y, but mega evolutions last the entire rest of the fight, so the only way for him to not be buffed the rest of the smash match is if he is already mewtwo y and is choosing to look like his usual self using psychic projection. Just a thought.

I love how at 1st, Poppt had so much faith in the real mewtwo, but at the end, he just lost all faith.
That last min-min match hurt just to watch. The AI in general just isn't able to play around her at all. Apparantly, the best way to beat a psychic is to be completely braindead.
As someone who plays mewtwo quite regularly, calling him mid tier is pretty wrong (heck, even marss said he only put him there because he didn't know much about M2), sure, his weaknesses are really bad but the amount of strengths he has and how good they are certainly outshines his weaknesses, kinda like Pre-IDJ Falcon
