That's a great little machine especially for £400, really impressed with the case and included RGB fans for the low price. Although I usually only shop at the high end it's great to see these more affordable builds. Will probably build something similar when my 8 year old daughter gets a bit older and outgrows her Nintendo Switch lol. Cracking build guide as always mate, always make time to sit down with a brew and watch your videos. Take care mate 👍
It is fantastic to watch a fellow English pc biulder as most of the pc related content i watch is hosted by American Creators. Great easy to follow video👍
I just got one of these in white as an open box purchase for $35. I installed a new Asrock Z270 Taichi which has a black/white color scheme, an I-7-6700K , white CPU cooler and 16GB 3200mhz ram also in white. My impressions after the build, I couldn't believe how light the case is but that's because the metal is so thin and can bend quite easily if not careful. My EVGA PSU and cables wouldn't fit next to the HDD cage so had to settle for an Apex Gaming 750W unit that measured no more then 6.025" AND has the modular cables that connect to the upper part of the back of the PSU to clear the HDD tray. The molex centipede, smh, was a bit of a pain but only because I used white PSU cable extensions and this made cable management arrangement a battle but it worked out and I was able to install the back pc cover while still making it look presentable. The other annoying thing is the little square on/off LED button, for some reason when one depresses it, it goes down to turn the LED's on, but stays down in the half way position and I had to use a toothpick, or pen etc to reach it to turn off the lights. I thought this was a defect but Gamers Nexus also mentioned this in their review. I really can't complain too much though as I did get the case for cheaper then retail and even at a $60 price it truly is a decent budget case especially with so many fans despite some cost cutting tradeoffs by Montech. Good review video on this case btw, thanks for sharing your experience, liked and subbed.
Thanks for sharing mate 👍 glad it all turned out well in the end - I don't have the led button issue with exception i had to use a pen to press it down as I bite my nails! Other than that I have used it numerous times and enjoy building in it. I appreciate the sub bro and happy new year 🎉
Hi mate, i have a question, i have the same case but my fans are spinning but my rgb isnt working any idea why? And i did my bios and after that i dont get a display?
Ive fixed the led just had to press a button 😂. I dont know the reason i dont get display, it varies sometimes i dont get display after i reset my pc and sometimes i do but after the bios it just sort of crashes and gives me a blackscreen.
@@TechCheckUK Happy new year for you too. Quick question: In regards to the PC case fans (RGBs), are those connected via MOLEX or should I also connect the 4-pin connector to the motherboard?
Nice PC I'm getting a very similar PC build myself the only change I would have made is I just would have used the stock cooler that came with the ryzen 5 5500 you could have saved a little bit of money
I got the same case Build going on at the moment , Using A Regular ATX Motherboard -MCI B550 -Item Dimensions - 12 x 9.6 x 2.5 inches , I measured the inside , it will fit , I want plenty of room for my CPU RPG cooling fan . Getting all the parts little by little. Trying to find a good used Graphics card in my price range under $200.00 US dollars if I can. That really is the biggest cost of this build so far . Thanks for your Video it`s awesome. I`m tired of trying to make my old HP 8300/8200 SFF run the best they can , Limited on what more I can do with them . Need For The Speed games is about all they can play good on the Cd Rom end . Asus Sound Card is a Good plus too , Makes your PC sound better than your Hi-Fi Stereo IMO - Cheers Brother
Hi mate the APU comparable to a 1060 is a 8600g and they are £217 in UK and would need a AM5 mobo and tbh I would always prefer a dedicated GPU if I can. Nothing wrong i just wouldn't see the point unless I was going AM5 and then its not a bad shout :)
for some reason my keyboard straight up just won’t work. I tested it on other things in my house, and it works fine, I also plugged it into the mouse’s plug, and it still wouldn’t work, while the mouse worked fine. Any ideas?
Aw that's weird- u tried doing windows update? Tried going into device manager and updating keyboard driver? Updating mobo software/ bios? Also try another keyboard - sorry so many things and hard to put finger on just one.
Hi, I have a similar build just like this with same case, but just the motherboard is a bit different it’s a B550M A WIFI II. I finished my build and there’s no display. Do I need that usb stick for the operating system to get it to work?
U need to connect via LAN to update all the drivers - it will do this automatically when u download the mobo software - once all updated the wifi and audio drivers are updates 👌
Nice video, mate. I'm about to build a budget build with all new parts in 🇨🇦 and the total price I paid is a hair under $1000 CAD. Similar parts to what you have here with a RTX 3060.
I would always go as new as possible but depends on budget and expectations mate. Am4 offers great value and a 5800x3d and 40 series gpu will play anything BUT be aware no more support and if you wanted to upgrade at a later stage you would have to change mobo/ram and cpu. Regards

Appreciate the kind words mate and wishing you luck on the search for a gpu my man.
Why not just go for an APU given the use case?

I have that case but i cant get the leds in the fan to work this is my first build
Have you connected the molex power for the fans?
There is a led button on the top of the case bro press it and there you go i had the same problem

Yeah it's same as anything if you don't know it's easy to miss mate 👍

Yes mate that's the cpu cooler and all comes as one 👍

@ OMG REALLY IF YOU WANT
will the rx 6800 challenger pro work for this case?
Hi mate challenger 6800 is 308mm and the case can fit 305mm so it would not fit buddy or it would be so tight!! Good luck 👍 hope that helps
I dont understand where to plug the fan power thing
Fan power is via molex connector from your power supply mate - just take the connector and join to fan connectors mate

IO shield comes in motherboard box unless it's integrated and built into the mobo already mate 👍
@@TechCheckUKcheers, also if I buy the exact same built but with a Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 would it still go together well?
@Dailyxboxseriesx yes mate absolutely fine if that was 300 you could build this £650
@@TechCheckUK appreciate it thanks for the help
No worries 👍
how do i get thermal paste
Order it from amazon mate 👍
will this run fortnite or cod on 180 fps with a rx600 Or do i something different then rx600
No mate this is a budget build aimed at 1080p gaming - this will get around 100fps at 1080p dependent on on game settings.
how did you connect the molex cables can you tell plz
Just connect the bottom fan molex connector to the psu molex connector by pushing them together
Can u do demo vid?
I don't have the pc anymore mate - dm me on IG and I'll confirm how to do it
I'm pressing the led button and it doesn't turn off
Has the cable come loose to the switch or fans I couldn't tell ta mate other than that as its just a 2 pin cable that turns them on or off
cool !
Thanks 👌

It gets the job done and on a budget that's tge whole point

This would be perfect for fortnite exactly as it I'd at 1080p
£400 =693.18 Canadian Dollar.............no way you could build that in Vancouver Canada for that price
