The fans ARE rgb, the specs in the official website specify that the fans are not adresable. Some people get mad saying these are not rgb when... well they are.. they are just not argb. Plus, you pay what you get, for that price range their only downsides are not being addresable and a bit more noisy than silent brands, which shouldnt even be a poblem for headset users unless you are a silence freak (they are not even that loud). Overall the materials are still good and sturdy enough for a good build, since as a desktop computer you are not gonna lift it up and move it around everyday (most "experts" point the "low quality" materials used for the build as one of the major flaws, but is not even a real problem as stated). All this considered, the ONLY real problems of the case are: -The space it has for cable magement on the side (because it can even fit ANY 160mm tall cpu cooler like an NH-15S without problem, it has great hardware compatibility). -Is rgb and not a-rgb (If the addresable lights is a must depending on the user) -Its design for front fans make it dificult to install water cooling (and again, this only depends on the user but it would make no sense to go for a budget case with already 6 fans preinstalled just to plug in a front watter cooler). Aesthetics are good, space and materials are fine, fans do the job and most important, airflow design keeps REALY low temps compared to some other high price cases and brands in the market, so yeah, unless you have more money to spend for something like fractal or lian li, this case is a no brainer for its price, it IS great.
Unfortunately you’re a bit wrong on your first point. The case, or more the fans, are not rgb, nomatter what the specs or website is saying. An rgb light/bulb/whatever, is a single source that can ommit a light in a color that can be mixed using Red, Green and Blue. Being addresable does not yet apply to anything here. The addressable part comes in when you have multiple LED’s in some sort of array and you can controll each of them individually. An example would be a Rainbow effect where the first LED is blue, and the color shifts with each LED until the last one is Red. Non addressable would mean that you can only controll every LED at once. All Blue, All Red, All Violet, whatever, but you can still controll you light, just not a single one. Now on the LED’s used on the fans here. These are neither Addressable nor non-Addressable LED’s. These are just light bulbs colored in a specific color and order so that the end result is creating a rainbow. Think of it that way, if you take a 10 standard light bulbs for home-usage and you color each of them in a different color so that you create a rainbow. After you install them into your house, you do not have a “rgb” house. Just a couple of colored bulbs.
Glad I came to this video. I have this chosen as my first case for my first ever pc build and because of the budget friendlyness and what it comes with, this video makes me want it more. To get me eased in, I chose some pretty okay specs, an RTX 3060 with a Intel Core i7 11700k and an MSI motherboard. Super excited and I had a lot of people help me choose the parts. Just gotta get the money now for the pc
Well if you just want to play games the i-7 is a waste of money. I would rather suggest an Intel Core i3-13100 or the best Budget CPU AMD Ryzen5 5600X. Only if you need the Cpu for certain applications I guess the i7 is a decent pick.
I've used this case in three builds and the people I built them for aren't into the lights, so they just turn them off ... It's nice room case for the price and it's not loud at all.
Hi, Neither, gaming or encoding would never be consitent enought to compare multiple devices. We used the same benchmark we’re using for our CPU cooler benchmarks. Though keep in mind that comparing my number to yours doesn’t make any sense as we propably do not have the same cpu, cooler, oc
I bought this case from Microcenter (not that they're at fault) and just now when i plugged everything in correctly, the audio plugins at the top of the case do work, but they have a faint buzz sound through the playback, like a computer churning. I don't have this issue with my motherboard plugins which ill be using from now on, i downloaded drivers, adjusted the wiring and my sound settings but it seems to be an issue with the built-in wiring. Bought it for cheap airflow and new-age look and it accomplishes that well so far. Speaking of the built-in wiring though you do NOT wanna unplug your usb 3.0 cable from your motherboard with this case. I almost got it undone but placed it back in because that was SO scary for my motherboard. At least now i know the flex tolerance of 1/3 of my motherboard.
Hi, nice review. Maybe you have a look to Bitfenix Cases for Beginners, especially the Nova Mesh SE TG. Same price, 4x ARGB Fans + ARGB Controller. Unfortunately side panel mounted with Screws.
Thanks! Just had a quick look. Depending on the chosen color it looks surprisingly good considering the price tag. I put it on the list for future Reviews :)
Yea just deciding between these two. Montech invested in sturdier built with more space and TG door, fans are heavy performers, just cheap and noisy . While Nova SE TG is thin steel compact case and has customizable superior fans with great Noise to performance ratio(Just controller+fans alone costs around 55usd in 65usd case, that says a lot). My third consideration is Adata XPG Starker Air, mediocre at everything but without flaws of these two.
for it's price you're basically buying 6 fans that come with a case and not the other way around. It makes little sense to go for it and replace it's main feature

dude if its quieter than that hp omen 15 Lawn mower its FINE.
They are not rgb, this would be called FRGB (fixed rgb). Rgb can actually be changed into colours such as purple, green or whatever.

@@NoMercyt99 No one playes fps games on an i3 .
@@THEcombatXD Well you can also buy a i5 if you have a larger budget but I would rather pick a Ryzen 5 because it is cheaper.

Hi I just wanna ask if you got that 75C while encoding a video? or just While Gaming? , I encode @80C most of the time with my Open Air Case

not a bad Review.
will rx 6700xt red devil fit?
Where did u plug the case fans because I can’t figure out where to plug them in
Mine are plugged into the power supply. They don’t show up in bios but fan speed seems so fluctuate depending on load.
Does anyone know the decibel level that this produces?
front panel is metal or plastic?
Metal
Building my first PC and I THOUGHT I bought a Montech AIR 100, I double checked and saw this case, but I'm glad it's a good one too
W video very helpful
Keep it up
Thanks
How do I connect the system fans please help asap
Did you figure out how to do the fans I've had the x2 for like 6months
Plug them in using the molex connection to your PSU, as shown at 4:55.
3:23 definitely ahahahah
is there any way to change all 6 fans to branded argb fans? just to control speed and lighting!
for it's price you're basically buying 6 fans that come with a case and not the other way around. It makes little sense to go for it and replace it's main feature
just buy a case that has no fans, and add in fans yourself. You can buy a better case and get the fans you want
haha using somebody elses code from tech source haha ts20 stolen
