(Yes, right now it's just me making everything)
Editor's Note: My edits were all made to keep the video on one, central topic by editing together relevant commentary from many parts of Hasan's streams to create a storyline that is still followable by the viewer. I also edited in commentary of my own in places, in addition to relevant external information that improves the viewing experience. A lot of edits were made for comedy purposes, or to enhance the comedic timing of certain beats, but never to misrepresent Hasan's point of view.
If you like my edits, leave a Comment, Like, and Subscribe. It helps a lot, thank you :)

TO EVERY AMERICAN PLANNING TO VISIT EUROPE FOR A LONGER TIME: As european I strongly recommend you getting a interrail pass that lets you travel through west and central europe by train. Its a killer deal if you want to take the most of your trip. love that thing.
My partner and I took an overnight train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and back. We had two seats facing each other with a table to eat at or whatever. After sunset the staff came to ask if we wanted to convert our seats into our stacked bunks or for them to come back to do it later. We woke up about 45 minutes before arriving around sunrise. It was one of our favorite things we did in Thailand; all for about $30 each ticket.
Thanks for the idea, was planning on eventually going to Thailand
@@CuriousFrog if you make it to Ciang Mai, I highly recommend renting a scooter for a few days and driving it to Pai.
Yep did the exact same thing. The sleeper train was really pleasant.
Also second the tip to rent the scooter to Pai. one of my best trips ever.
I added this to my Thailand list, thanks
god fucking damn it, I book a trip to Thailand (including Bangkok and Chiang mai) but use domestic planes... wish I saw this comment earlier. Hope you had fun though!
Nothing sadder than the railway decline that Ireland experienced (and other countries like the UK) because of neoliberal policies that sought to spend public money on creating new markets and jobs such as car dealerships and new roads with tarmac (owned by family members of Transport ministers) at the expense of underfunding or selling off "unprofitable" publicly owned services like railways.
Same here in Brazil... I remember going on one of the last passenger train travels here in my city in the 90s, and a couple of years later it being announced that all passenger trains would be cancelled from then on... and then a few years ago they started building a new tram line and it doesn't even go through the old train line that still doesn't have that many things built in its place over 20 years later and could very well be used (only some parts of it are being used for the new line). And this new line is still incredibly small, it only connects like 3 cities so far while the old line connected the entire state.
It's like "Well, it's the 90s and we won't need this old thing anymore" only to later go "Well, turns out that old thing was actually good so lets spend a lot of money to rebuild less than 1/20 of what the old thing was and call it a day"
The golden era of British rail was during the nineteenth century, when all railways were privately financed and operated (as opposed to nearly all other countries). British rail declined AFTER nationalization.
@@lime221-zu8ur
Who was your conservative transport minister who appointed Beeching? Marples was his name. His family owned the paving company that built the M1.
How can you assert that nationalisation killed railways when your government poured billions into building motorways to supercharge its automotive industry?
And don't you dare act the bollix like Clarkson and say nationalisation ruined Leyland motors either. That would be disingenuous given the long history of internal executive rivalry. And complete disregard for workers unions and R&D.
God I love Hasan train content. Its nearly as good as being in one. Perfect content.
To visit my girlfriend's family in China, we take a train from Beijing to Chengdu. It's less than 8 hours for a distance that's about the same as NYC to Tampa. That's about 125mph the whole way. The trains are very comfortable for a pretty affordable cost -- about $90. You'd pay more on tolls and gas driving that here, and you wouldn't have wifi or a cozy place to sleep. Wish we had better rails here.
Chengdu is in a geographic basin so it’s definitely taking more time. But yeah Chinese railroad system(despite all the corruption) is really convenient and low-cost.
I would argue some trains’ seat cushion needs a change but other than that no complaints!
Oh and Fuck Amtrak for charging ridiculous prices for train rides 🤪
cant wait for hasan x mr.affable collab
As a Floridian I'm always embarrassed when tourists come here or want to as they learn there is no train from MCO, the airport everyone comes in from, to Disney or anything.
Compared to my friend in Japan who can just go to Tokyo whenever she wants without even using the bullet train. I get lowkey mad and don't want her to come here 😅😭
A disney train would be so iconic
Disney needs to build a big ass monorail.
@@sabinajoh The annoying thing is Disney did offer to donate land for building a rail line during the Obama era as it just makes sense and would alleviate the insane traffic of the tourist area. Plus having trains to Disney was in Walt's original city plans for EPCOT basically.
Gov. Rock Scott aka Skinny Lex Luthor tho rejected the HSR funds Obama allocated for a Orlando to Tampa line so now 10+ years later we still have nothing except the privately owned Brightline planning to build HSR any day now 🙄
@@ThexDynastxQueentbf Brightline is a fantastic train experience. Much better than Amtrak and they're actually completing projects unlike most other rail ventures in the US.
Dude, hear me out.... train party in Japan. The entire chat gets an entire train for three days with all the Sapporo we can afford
Ride the train from Kagoshima to Tokyo, then onwards to Sapporo. That would be VERY nice.
I traveled on sleeper trains in Uzbekistan, China and Australia. And even the most primitive sleeper train I had in China was a 10/10, and I have a very good bed at home.
Overnight trains are also perfect for tourist and business people. Sure the plane is faster, but the whole experience will leave you destroyed on your first day. Everybody arrives on Sunday so that they can rest before Monday.
Meanwhile, with an overnight train, you literally wake up from a bed, take a shower and put your clothes, and you are fresh and in the very center of the city to which you are going on Monday morning. Sure, you have spent 8 more hours in the train than in the plane, but those 8 hours were sleeping in a real bed.
The experience of going on a train is SO much better than flying, especially if you are tall, you need to walk around to stretch your legs, etc.
I wouldn't take it to go from Berlin to Beijing, but I would take it to go Madrid-Paris, for example. Hop in the train in the afternoon, read a bit, watch some shows, go to bed and sleep, arrive fresh in the morning for my conference.
It is definitively something that everyone should try at least once in their lives.
I took an overnight train (14 hours through 3 countries) on a regular seat, and aside from the pain in my butt from sitting down for so long, it was great. Seeing the sunrise over the ocean was awesome. It was also really cheap, like 65€ or smth.
Also didn't get a lot of sleep, but others in the same car slept through the whole night, so that's just up to how well you can sleep without a bed.
Would love to do it again, but in an actual sleeper seat.
My great grandfather worked at a train yard and got an excellent pension.
RUclips's auto-reply prompt for this comment was "Sorry to hear that" and I can only imagine they must see pensions as evil
@@HasanReactionsfanTwo knowing youtube they probably DO see pensions as evil

Lmfao I’m deceased
We did the overnight train from Denmark to Germany in a private suite with small bathroom. That was so cool. When they pulled the trains apart to load onto the ferry, we stayed in bed and slept through it.
We held first class Eurail pass (1978) which allowed us to jump on any train and not have to worry if we were in the wrong section.
Can't believe he forgot about double decker sandwiches 🥪🥪
The club!!! Mm..
Decreasing the highway budget could totally affect commerce. But that’s entirely by design. We could absolutely choose to prioritize railways for commercial use. It would be insanely efficient. My friend and I talk all the time about how great it would be to use trains for agricultural transportation (both ag majors).
I love trains (I’ve never been in one 😢)
The American experience
America was built on railroads. The Vanderbilts.
Hope you get the opportunity to take a nice train trip soon!
4:43 Sad that americans don't know the experience of Overnight Train travel. Such a wonderful and beautiful experience it is. I still get excited for a overnight Train travel
It’s great when you’re not in coach. Took LA to Seattle (and back) and it was horrendous
I hopped to train with my friend Paul and his lady Summer around 1999/2000 , Dallas to San Antonio to Houston. And Houston to New Orleans.
And then hitched back to Atlanta .
🚂🚃🤠 The guy in the hat is me riding that train!
The Amtrak video has me wanting to do that journey now 😍
Train video?! LET'S GOOOOOOO!
It's kinda sad that Chris said that his sleeper train experience was bad afterwards, since the video he made on it was so nice
Ease and price of the transport from and to an airport is always something I look at when looking for travel options
I know railways are all over the place quality wise in America but my family did have a pretty good time traveling from seatle to San Francisco, was quite expensive tho
I'm just happy my favorite streamer acknowledged the existence of my forgotten country tunisia
The best part of this video is the chatter at 19:06 completely overreacting to another chatter having a bad take LMAO
Forgot Two story schools I always thought they were pretty pog
Recently rode Thalys from Brussels to Amsterdam at 300kph.
I had took an Amtrack train twice in my life., between NY and Philadelphia, Denver and Granby to see the view of Rocky. Compare to Japanese service, Amtrack had more luxury, comfortable and made my traveling unforgettable. I paid money for a joy of journey in style, but not for fast and convenient, easy travel. Between Tokyo and Osaka, distance my be similar between LA and SF, train runs every 3 to 6 minutes in average, like a commuter train. Train is well competitive with airlines.
Why did those photos line up with the Baron names so well lol
With the legend natsuki HIM-self
Hasan should come to Sydney. We have double deckers as commuter trains.
My man messed up by not getting the sleeper car on the train. 😢
Amtrak has sleeper cars but ONLY on select routes. (for now)
I really wanted to take a train to see my friend because then my mom could come with (she has health issues that make plane rides difficult to near impossible). However, the hours were horrendous & would make it hard for us to get where we need to go after the train safely. I'll still be taking the city train, since that goes directly to the 2 airport terminals, but disappointed
Also outside of the Northeast Corridor (Boston - Washington DC) and Chicago, the service is less than great. But they definitely have Wifi on trains.
I went from Phoenix to New Orleans. I was lucky enough that Verizon had fairly decent coverage, so I used my phone as a Hotspot. Thankfully I also had unlimited data.
I would love to be transported to another place while not doing anything and having a bathroom.
I'm good did an overnight one when I was a kid it was slow as all hell and everyone in our car caught the flu
I think they don't have a lot of overnight trains in Japan is the Shinkansen rendered them obsolete.
As a geography major, i love planning content. Outside of crime time, this may be my favorite hasan reactions.
There are more night trains in Japan now.
choo choo, all on board the Hasan train, choo choo
Amtrak is still pretty viable in certain markets tho. Some places in the USA don't have an airport nearby or the airspace is zoned stupidly.
Maybe some places. In others you have to take busses as well as the train, and you have to make long stops because the track is shared with Union Pacific
Oh in our wettest dreams teddy schlong
Chat will never not be dumb
around 22.00 the audio does not work. also other two times for a few seconds each around 26.00. it happened before 22 too but i didn’t check the time.
How to get air pod pro max's: scam people wealthier than you lol
I also love trains. Goddamn.
This made me realise how much India's railway has improved.
Also shoutout to the LA union station. Took the amtrak from flagstaff to there before. Also rode the rails of chicago a lot. I love trains! Gonna do an east coast trip where i travel bos/wash via train!
*ISTANBUL TO SOFIA* Bulgaria next year with my sister - I live in Burgas Bulgaria and the high speed rail link opens this year
She is flying to Istanbul - I'm getting the train and then we are all coming back on the sleeper car
Wait. America . . .has trains?
someone recommend the Megaprojects Video of Indian Railways to hasan next stream, please. Want to see his reaction soo bad to it
Why does the us train look better than the trains we have in northern sweden 😭 The formerly state owned company don’t even come up here anymore and the sleeper trains are worse, they got exposed for not getting health inspected in 10 years but it’s still like $600+ per person to go to Stockholm and back when a car is $200 per car to go Stockholm and back
Toxic gossip trains
I am originally from India living in the US. The Indian trains are way superior to Amtrak. Indian trains also cater to rich and the poor. There's General class (dirt cheap but its very crowded, no beds and untidy), Sleeper Class (doesn't have AC and kinda untidy), third AC, second AC and First AC. A 500+ mile journey costs less than 7-8 dollars in sleeper class, about 12-14 dollars in third AC, 25 for second AC and about 50 for first AC. I never had to take the first AC since Second AC is pretty great. The stations are pretty untidy and crowded but remember India is not a developed country and at least people can travel if they don't have a lot of money. There are a couple of luxury trains but I'm sure they are never used by locals, they are just for tourists.
for people for planning to go India- Take the trains, you'll love them. Just make sure you either book First or Second AC.
actually I might be wrong about general class. Its probably free....
If Hasan loves trains so much he should visit Switzerland. We’re probably the nation that is just as efficient with the as Japan and even more gorgeous.
double deckers scare me idk lol
Be honest, you love cars and suburbs
Where is that shirt he has from? I want one
Hassan walks into a two story McDonald’s and loses his shit haha
Isn't a two story McDonald's normal tho?
In my place at least
@@davedave3520 ive only seen one in NY
No train in the world will ever match the lirr experience
I'm gonna say it now. Hasan.. Bruh. You WANT to go to Japan JUST to take the damn train.
Don't do Amtrak. A local trip or Canada rail can be good options. Williams to Grand Canyon trip with a train robbery by outlaw cowboys on horses, with my young boys, was the coolest trip ever❣️
I wonder what Chris Broad's politics are?
First world country btw
Trains rights!
How is there no wifi in American trains?
11:27
I took one train in my life and they had sleeper cabins next to mine that were not being used. I snuck in and feel asleep for 20 minutes before being violently woken up and kicked out. Never again!!!
Make America Trains Again!!
Amtrak has cabins, but they're expensive
hasan paywalling the trussy i see i see
I’ve never been on a train but i wanna so bad. BUT THERES NO FUCKING TRAINS IN NY (besides the sub but that doesn’t count)
