Still haven't mastered this, but think it's an interesting concept" posted by Ren Gill (The Illest of the Ill) Me: To me it's like Ren is psyching himself up to get bigger, how much bigger? Big enough to have the power to create a standardized treatment for Lyme Disease & an early detection system... hyuge you gotta be hyuge. That takes millions upon millions upon millions of dollars, but Ren ain't rich never has been most of the money goes to medicine. Some of the reactors have more subscribers than he does. that's why he feels like Atlas sometimes maybe like the weight of the medical world is on his shoulders but he can't shrug it off.

I'm a 58 year old white guy from the States. I love my alternative, rock, and punk music. But I also grew up listening to "old school", original hip-hop. Back when the artists told stories. Life stories. Street stories. My journey with REN the past several months have hit me in a way that no other music really has. While I haven't suffered the physical ailments REN has, I identify with the anxiety, the depression... I really don't know if there has been music, rap or otherwise, that has made me FEEL the way REN's has. Whether REN knows it or not, his music and lyrics and rhymes are therapeutic. The make a difference. And I hope he never stops making a difference.

As an emotional person, I would recommend the trilogy under the title "Tales Jenny and Screech". Although it takes 14 minutes to listen to all three parts, I don't think it's worth doing otherwise so that the conclusion has the right effect. From Ren of course!
His lyrical use of double entendres is amazing, "I'm ready I'm heavy, I’m Mercury, I am Freddy,..." Mercury being a HEAVY metal, Freddy Mercury....😵💫 C'MON! Even the title is a double entendre - "Illest of our Time". He's firing warning shots in this one and making sure everyone takes notice. Nice to see him showing some attitude and confidence, being a little braggadocious. I Love it. "I, want to spread these tattered wings, hold 'em high, banished from the heavens but I'm knocking on the sky"......FIRE!!!! He did a live stream right after the video dropped (on Twitch), and to see his genuine, emotional reaction to how many reaction channels had already posted videos within an hour of the songs release, was truly heartwarming. He shares his soul. This young man deserves every bit of love , support, and success he's finally getting. I couldn't be happier for him, especially for someone so talented, so driven, and without question, someone who has been forged through fire. Love this kid! Fan for life.
Chalk outlines and diazepam are well worth reacting to for a sense of pure diversity and a true barometer of ren's endless talent. The hunger, genesis, blind eyed etc etc. Class. The ren rabbit hole is full of bangers.

I have been trying to figure out why I like watching your reactions so much and it's because you are a very emotional person and it's just fun watching your reactions to everything. Is this exhausting for you? Do you feel like you have to give a certain expression or is this just your actual energy all the time? If it is and there's no performance then you have the most beautiful soul. I've never cried in front of others until this past month when my brother hung himself. Now all of a sudden I break down crying a lot. I love how much you smile or how much you allow yourself to cry. You definitely let yourself feel all of the emotions. Maybe it's because guys are taught that we can only show stoicism, and we are the leader of the family so we cannot show weakness. I just know that I don't have the spectrum of emotions that seem to come so naturally to you. Just a FYI, its 3 songs back to back to back that tell a story and if you really think about it, it will can have many different theories etc. I have seen several reactions to it and a lot of people have way different interpretations of it, but I'm curious what you will make of it.
Our generation needed a prodigal son. His music has sent me down a reaction rabbit hole. Watching your reactions, especially on upbeat bangers like this, makes my friday all good!
Ren manages to weave together images and easily understood references from English Literature and pop culture with Mary Poppins, Robin Hood, Freddie Kreuger, Freddie Mercury, Eleven from Stranger Things and Hardy Brothers. There are hints of Animal Farm, A Clockwork Orange, and he even refers to his own songs with a reference to Screech and "to kill a pacifist". It is more difficult to see that "Extra terrestrial, tentacles, alien" that follow "Chest with an iron lung" could refer to iron bodied extra terrestrial aliens with tentacles from... I don't know... "A War of the Worlds" perhaps? Wait are those sirens in the background the same as the sirens from "A War of the Worlds"...they seem to be. "A sick little puppy"...I get it Ren is sick too, both sick cool and sick ill. Do you think that Ren knows about one of the last people in an iron lung, Paul Alexander, who titled his memoirs "Three minutes for a dog"...who was encouraged by a therapist to not give up and to just try to breathe without the iron lung without passing out for 3 minutes..thus earning him a boxer puppy? Yeah I'm probably reaching. Also at the exact instance when Ren says he is a rapstar, a cat headed woman holds up a Stella Artois. Googling Stella=Star. Google Cat Headed Goddess = Egyptian Bastet=goddess of protection (hence single blue eye) and also of health. However, it turns out that as the daughter and "Eye of Ra" she was sent to destroy humans (despite being a guardian???) but was tricked into drinking red beer (instead of blood) and got ill and passed out sparing humanity...and then Ren goes on saying he does not feel so well. I know...I know...it is just a coincidence. Ren seems to have to "Call a medic for myself" because Freddie Gray was not going to do it for him. And Ren wants some help figuring things out?...I think we are all going to need some help figuring out these lyrics.
One of my brothers committed suicide about 10 years ago, I wish I could have shared Ren and especially Hi Ren. I would hope he would have found a way to deal with his depression. I think Ren's lyrics and songs would have helped him to learn to cope and deal with his inner demons.

Great reaction as always Aileen always my favorite, i think Tale of Jenny and Screech full version is a must do. One of my favorites by him.
Ren manages to weave together images and easily understood references from English Literature and pop culture with Mary Poppins, Robin Hood, Freddie Kreuger, Freddie Mercury, Eleven from Stranger Things and Hardy Brothers. There are hints of Animal Farm, A Clockwork Orange, and he even refers to his own songs with a reference to Screech and "to kill a pacifist". It is more difficult to see that "Extra terrestrial, tentacles, alien" that follow "Chest with an iron lung" could refer to iron bodied extra terrestrial aliens with tentacles from... I don't know... "A War of the Worlds" perhaps? Wait are those sirens in the background the same as the sirens from "A War of the Worlds"...they seem to be. "A sick little puppy"...I get it Ren is sick too, both sick cool and sick ill. Do you think that Ren knows about one of the last people in an iron lung, Paul Alexander, who titled his memoirs "Three minutes for a dog"...who was encouraged by a therapist to not give up and to just try to breathe without the iron lung without passing out for 3 minutes..thus earning him a boxer puppy? Yeah I'm probably reaching. Also at the exact instance when Ren says he is a rapstar, a cat headed woman holds up a Stella Artois. Googling Stella=Star. Google Cat Headed Goddess = Egyptian Bastet=goddess of protection (hence single blue eye) and also of health. However, it turns out that as the daughter and "Eye of Ra" she was sent to destroy humans (despite being a guardian???) but was tricked into drinking red beer (instead of blood) and got ill and passed out sparing humanity...and then Ren goes on saying he does not feel so well. I know...I know...it is just a coincidence. Ren seems to have to "Call a medic for myself" because Freddie Gray was not going to do it for him. And Ren wants some help figuring things out?...I think we are all going to need some help figuring out these lyrics.

Rap isn't one of my go to genres but Ren is something different.
One of my brothers committed suicide about 10 years ago, I wish I could have shared Ren and especially Hi Ren. I would hope he would have found a way to deal with his depression. I think Ren's lyrics and songs would have helped him to learn to cope and deal with his inner demons.
