Just wait. His journey is one hell of an emotional roller coaster. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry-more than a few times, literally. He is one of the very few rappers I will listen to. His lyrics get deeper and he gets better and better. Most metal heads resonate with his music because of the real life struggles he sings and raps about.
All respect due, I really get upset when people say "NF is one the only rappers I'll listen to.." for whatever reason. There are plenty of rappers with more technical ability, a deeper backstory, and have flows and beats that are great. This whole saying makes it seem like such a race intertwined statement. Like "I don't listen to rap but I'll listen to this white guy" but I'm not saying that's your stance, it just gives that energy off. The most famous example being Tom MacDonald, as crappy as that whole situation is. I'm rambling now but my whole point is don't be closed minded about rap as a genre, with all due respect if you don't choose to branch out there to compare, you can't blindly say NF is good in rap as a genre. Once you do branch out, you'll no longer use that "I don't listen to rap but.." and it won't matter what you listen to. It just always seems like that saying comes from someone trying to say they're above this level of music or something somehow.
@AverageTom MacDonaldHater you're the only one who made it about race. Rap isn't what it used to be, it's all the same cookie cutter bs that the radio pushes. I can't blame them for not like rap. What they are saying is rap isn't something I listen to, but I relate to this guy who just so happens to rap.
@@whosthatoutcast I'm not making it about race by pointing out an obvious fact. Nobody leads a statement with "I don't listen to rap but..." without immediately listing 1 of maybe 10 white rappers that exist. Take your pick as to which one they choose. That's not racist, that's just a fact. Nobody says "I don't listen to rap but that new Wayne song hit". So either you're saying surface layer rap is white only, OR it gravitates towards a white only audience to white only rappers. As far as rap being different now? In what way? They still was talking about the same stuff then as they do now. Nothing about it changed lol. I also relate to NF heavily, but making it all you listen to and deciding it's a personality type to constantly state you don't normally listen to this music, as if somehow it's lower than you are, is a joke.
I'm a hard-core nf fan looked up hope reactions and found u its like watching him grow again seeing someone like you on your first time journey its awesome I dropped a sub btw
This comment says perfectly what I came here to say! Youve got another sub from me, Senpai! Keep up the incredible work you're doing and many of us will enjoy watching you continue to shine as well. You're beautiful inside and out! ❤
Watching your expressions as you react to the song is always so fun, especially when you do the eye brow thing! The way the video ended as he disappeared with the song ending at the same time gave me goosebumps.
@@Barrineticdepend on the environment you're in, for a rapper when 99% of the industry is throwing slur and swears right and left it is pretty amazing to stay clean.
You are just scratching the surface. This is the most incredible ride you'll go through. Wait until you get to "How Could You Leave Us.". It really gives you the understanding of how his mind went. NF is a genius.
Intro is kind of unique on the journey in that it doesn't delve much into his inner demons and mental health troubles. Like you said, it's total self-motivation. This is the end of the "easy listening" portion of the NF Journey for a while. We get into some deep and dark topics from here but it's all beautiful and will give you a new appreciation for Hope when you see where he came from mentally. Can't wait to see your reaction to Mansion. It's one of my personal favorites.
Your reactions are so real and I am glad you found NF or NF found you! His music is his therapy but also the therapy for so many of us. I look forward to watching your NF journey and I really appreciate how you take the time to understand the lyrics!
the journey is long but well worth it. you'll feel lots of emotions..sad, sorry, anger, love, etc. you are a beautiful reactionist(if that's a word) keep up the great reactions with this amazing talent
You won't regret going on the NF journey! It's an emotional rollercoaster and you will learn a lot about his upbringing and how it made him who he is now. His music is all about self-reflection.
I found NF through this song on a madden game. I’ve enjoyed his journey since then. When it comes to rap I like lyrics the most and NF is one of the best lyricist and storytellers.
"He looks so young"... it's crazy thinking how he's been in the game for over a decade, started as a teen and is now over 30, I sometimes forget how long his journey has been... he really deserves the hope he finally has :)
Love seeing new people start their NF journey. Keep them coming. Get ready for the roller coaster, just like hope this clip is filled with hidden meanings. Big love from Australia
Just wanted to say that I'm new to your channel and relatively new to NF (first heard Hope sometime last summer,) and I'm very much enjoying your reactions. It brings me so much joy seeing other people discovering and LOVING his stuff.
i love how lyrical he is and i've yet to find an artist that does it as well as NF with linking his songs with subtle links and references, ive noticed so many references to past songs or future songs or lyrics that communicate with eachother through different songs (No Name and Leave Me Alone are a good example, you'll see 😉). i think its so impressive, hes definitely underrated and hes most certainly gotten a name for himself
So glad you are on this journey! As someone that always wanted to have Christian or clean music similar to the more secular side, I can't tell you how happy I was when I first heard Intro back in the day. I loved Eminem back then and always wanted something similar on the Christian or clean side. It was the same way I felt with nu-metal when bands like Red came around or when Brian "Head" Welch took a break from Korn to go solo.
Nate is a different breed when it comes to the rap/hip hop genre. Really excited that you have found him and cannot wait to see what you think of the rest of the journey. Just be prepared for the emotional roller coaster, because there are highs and lows all throughout. “I never drink but I live in these bars” Nate only talks about life and situations that we can all relate to one way or another. Fantastic reaction and analysis!
Love all NF Songs, but when i hear his old songs that's when i understand that he really got even better. Musically and Lirically. Keep the great reactions!
Just started listening to NF and liking what I'm hearing. If I may recommend 2 bands to you that I think you'd enjoy, I would say Bad Omens and Dayseeker. 2 of the best vocalist in the Metalcore/Post Hardcore Genre. Anything from their most recent albums would be fine, because both of them are amazing from start to finish!
NF is one of a kind. It is mind blowing how his whole rap catalogue comes together like a movie. There is nobody in the rap game that can do what he does.
I just want to say that you are literally so freaking beautiful and I love your whole look and style 🖤 also, so excited that you started on the NF journey. I listen to mostly metalcore and post-hardcore but I love me some NF and have been since his Perception album. I can’t wait for the Mansion reaction because that’s the song that I first resonated with personally and a lot of his other songs come back or tie in with this song. You also heard a little smidge of it in Hope.
I am so excited for a 'Mansion' reaction. That song is something I lean on and has always been there for me. Thank you for doing what your do, much love.
I got introduced to NF in 2014 he did a song with flame he immediately became one of my favorite rappers seen him twice, his music is phenomenal and life breathing fresh and unorthodox at times...new sub and ready to rejoin this journey with you and your subscribes keep up the amazing work

I haven’t given a f**k about artists in rap music in decades. I listen almost exclusively to punk/metal outside of checking out reaction channels for the nostalgia of music my parents played when I was growing up and I’ve listened to as much as possible from this kid in the last two weeks. The Journey is an emotional one that you have to have 2 perspectives in mind: he is not simply a rapper but an artist that has his own style. Second, the Journey is his story that he lays open for us (he alludes to this in his song - Intro 2). This is what makes Hope such an epic part of his journey.
