you should try a stick that’s just above your chin, because you like to pull the puck in closer to your body and it also puts less stress on your shoulders. the only reason you should have a long stick is if you’re a defenceman for those poke checks. TBH your skating is not bad it’s actually nice when you don’t have the puck because you get so low and when you get low it makes it better because you could extend your legs further out. the way i like to do it is push and guide the puck where i wanna go instead of dragging it, to me if you do less handles it makes you much more faster, take a look at someone like connor mcdavid he only stick handles when he has to, and he usually just pushes it to a certain area like where there’s an opening, it’s also good because you could keep your head up and scan the ice much more because the puck is always ahead of you. it’ll take a couple practices to get use to, but it will also make a big difference, and plus you could always see the defender that is ahead of you. and you’ll soon be able to see how the defender moves it’ll seem like he’s moving slow and everything will slow down for you, that’s what happens to me and man i’m gonna be watching your videos for a long time because i like your hard work, i don’t believe in talent if you have hard work. Love your videos Bryce 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@BryceKHockeyyea imagine you’re sitting on a chair when you skate, don’t bend too much at the waist, the most bend should be at the knees, if you get tall when you skate you lose a lot of power therefore the muscles you got won’t be able to activate, and sooner you’ll be able to waste less energy and move freely gaining more speed then you did before, you’ll also notice your passes are hard and much more accurate, if you want to be able to shoot cut down the flex to about 80-82 and you’ll notice the puck zipping without effort, since you have so much muscle
@@BryceKHockeyand also your body should feel like you’re moving side to side when you’re going straight and you should feel your whole body being in sync with your movement so you’re not moving too much and wasting energy that you shouldn’t have to waste
I just got the shadows and they feel weird and there definitely different and I’m not to big of a fan of them but i have only used them once so I’m giving them a chance so I’ll see if they get better as time goes on
