Apparently Jessie and James are actually _very good_ at what they normally do. I remember there was at least one episode where they decided not to try to steal Pikachu and do regular team Rocket crimes instead, and they were _scarily_ competent. But then at the end of the episode the boss was like "No, go back to catching that Pikachu for me" and it went back to the status quo.

If you think about it, Jessie and James have been successfully leaching off the mob for decades without ever actually doing anything useful. Also, no one in universe ever sees through their disguises. They're actually the perfect imposters!
They're really good at everything *other* than kidnapping Pikachu, though? All those giant robots don't build themselves and every time they try to go legit for a bit to make money it seems to work out pretty well. "Can't quite beat Ash" is still enough to beat anyone *less* absurd, which is approximately everyone.

My favorite part of the stream was Blue getting everyone to trust him, setting off the air system and making them think he'd fix it and killing everyone in one few swoop. Blue was scarily good at being an imposter

Red & Blue are such a good team, I feel like it'd be impossible for them to lose together. That said, I also remember when they figured out it was Red in another game and she legit broke out in maniacal laughter before they spaced her.
I feel like Red is the kind of person who makes every game more fun.

I clicked on this so fast. Also I think it is very understated how good of a unaliving duo red and blue would make. Red would do it and blue would be called as a witness and he would just talk and eventually get on to Venice as a subject (and we all know how he feels about venice) and eventually the court would forget why they were there and red would just walk out free as a bird with blue, wearing the iconic black sunglasses
this would have been the perfect moment, as jocat gets dragged away, he sees blue, reaches out to him, but instead of a helping hand, blue pull out a knife and jocat says "et tu brute?". that would have been perfect
