    Thanks for your walkthrough :-)
    Just two comments, please correct me if I'm wrong.
    The select multiple regions and create crossfades has been there a pretty long time. What I miss is to set default x-fade curves (linear/ log.. etc).
    It's new being able to drag ARA (Melodyne...) to a region, but nice with cmd/ctr-m to be fast and minimise mouse clicks. But the options in the region inspector is as before, like bypass/disable :-)
    Best regards, Pelle

    Thanks Jonny, good stuff as always. I think you have convinced me to get off S1 5.5. I've been a S1 user since v2 (I believe) but was not particularly impressed with releases post 5.5. This one starts getting back to a few creator focused features (vs mix and master) and you highlighted them perfectly. Thanks for all the content you have dropped over the years, its been very helpful.

    • @toddwmac
      @toddwmac Год назад +1

      Reverse that. After using S1 for more than a decade and being a Pro user for half that, the fact that S1+ is the same cost to me as a brand new user is a no go. There are other options. I guess the Fender corporate "impact" is alive an well.

    Thank you for this I appreciate it. Some of this is very nice. Other "improvements" are clearly meant for those without musical training and lean more towards EDM/RAP simple repetitive compositions that are largely computer generated.

    I'm curious if there's a setting in Studio One that allows for a much more pronounced visual distinction when a track is selected on the timeline and corresponds to a track in the mixer and left side channel ONLY.
    Currently, it slightly brightens, but when dealing with numerous tracks, each with distinct colors, it's often challenging to discern which one is selected without having to click on the track in the timeline and then navigate to the mix window. I'm hopeful that there's a way to significantly enhance this visual indication or make it exceptionally clear which track is selected in the mix window.
    Perhaps a thicker frame that outlines the active channel wrapping its left side channel strip?

    • @JonnyLipshamStudios

      Sort of.....We have a tape setting in the timestretch algorithm. Set that to Tape and then automate the tempo track to slow down and listen to the awesome effect.

    So if you are part of Sphere does the update automatically get applied to the Studio One 6 that is on computer? Or do you have to go online to receive this update and then reinstall? Thanks for answer.

    • @JonnyLipshamStudios
      @JonnyLipshamStudios  Год назад

      If you are a member of Studio One+ and you have Studio One 6 already installed on your computer, then, on the Studio One Start Page, just click on Check for updates and you can install from there. If that does not work for any reason, then download the installer from your account.
      You will also get any future versions of Studio One deposited in your account as part of your membership of Studio One+.

    • @JonnyLipshamStudios

      No it does not. The scale lock is only for manual or step entry, rather then realtime entry.

    Did they upgrade the VST instruments?

  • @_sweetchuck_
    @_sweetchuck_ Год назад

    Im not gonna lie, this video has me pretty confused. I'm on 5.5 and I've always been able to select multiple events and click x to crossfade them all at once. Also with the melodyne ARA integration, I always just drag it onto the event I want and it adds it to the events, not the track. Did Studio One really anounce these as new features?

    • @JonnyLipshamStudios
      @JonnyLipshamStudios  Год назад

      The difference is that now you can range select across your events, which will set the size of the cross fade and then press X. So, if you do this over multiple events, it is event easier than it was before.
      Additionally, with the ARA, you can now also select your event and right-click and select your ARA plugin as well as just drag and drop, or CTRL/CMD+M.

    In regards to v 6.2 independent phasing within a stereo track;
    is it safe to assume that studio 32sx will pick up on that?
    And will remote control be able to implement as well?
    Just asking as I have a new project and may want to wait for the upgrade.

    • @JonnyLipshamStudios
      @JonnyLipshamStudios  Год назад

      Currently, there are no polarity controls available in DAW mode on the Series 3 mixers. But on the remote app, tap the slider icon next to the L icon for the lyrics view and there you will see the polarity buttons. Tap one and both light up. Make sure you have the latest update for the Remote app.

    I dont understand the advantage of turning off drop out protection? Can you explain what benefits this will bring to a high end pc please?

    • @JonnyLipshamStudios
      @JonnyLipshamStudios  Год назад

      It means that if you have a very high end computer with lots of RAM and CPU cores at very fast speeds, you likely do not need the dropout protection system at all. So now, you can just turn it off. When set to minimum, it is still on, active and working. With it off, it is as if it does not exist at all.
