Interesting, I’ve actually never even thought about how I use this until now lol. I tend to do use gain envelope prior to processing and automation close to the end of mixing for loudness/energy. Thanks!

Nice video! should I assume if a compression is at the end of these 2 tracks the gained volume would suffer catastrophically (by augmenting all harmonics) while the fader one would be much cleaner!!... compressors introduce a lot of extra noise when using the gain then..!!? and compressors most often are always at the end of tracks/busses/master .... so i guess the fable is use a gain only if no compression is being used or if you don't care or like the kind of sound is coming out..!? this was very informational! Thanks
