One of my fave backwards moves. You gain a lot of speed with the proper technique. I hope a lot of folks gain a ton of info from this video. My back crosses are the same , Wide steps, power push and pulls. In asian country's they do a backwards train with several people in the train line it looks like a blast and have always wanted to go to a rink in say china and join one. Im very good at backwards skating and find its very comfortable to skate backwards. For me, I didn't learn a lot here as its a skill I feel like Im really advanced at already BUT I did enjoy the ice end of the video as im a terrible ice skater. More than all of that Its really great to see you get back to video production and to see a video coming out from your end.. Cheers Brother! We just went to the rink today , I havent been able to skate all summer. Im beat!! lol
This is also how I do backward crossovers in quads. The difference of course is that you can’t get nearly as deep of an edge in quads, as inlines and especially ice skates will give you.
What up deez! Just purchased some bont skates. Looking for a nice set of outdoor wheels. Not to break the bank with. Right now they just have the standard white Ballistic wheels I think there 92a. Looking for something use on pavement.
@DeezSkates sure thing. Thanks for the advice bro. Keep up the good work. I'll look into what you suggested right now. Didn't realize they had quad wheels. Or maybe I failed to mention quad skates. Lol
So I've been skating for a relatively long time, maybe like 9-10 years. And I've dabbled in skating backwards and it ALWAYS feels insanely foreign to me, is there something more to it beyond just more time? I always feel and tend to fall backwards.
Hard to say without seeing you skate. If I had to guess… Some of it may be time. Some of it may be the stance you use. When you’re learning a new skill like this, it may help to increase your confidence if you have a controlled space to practice in first.
This is the best breakdown I’ve seen. I play defenseman usually on roller hockey. Nice job!
Such an incredible breakdown, David! I especially loved seeing the similarities off and on ice. Keep them coming, please!!
This is super useful!
I always love how well you describe the weight transfer and directions!
Thanks for breaking this down. Nice to see the coach's technique; very fine tuned.
Thank you!!! I’ve been trying to get these down for a while now 😅
I am watching your new video now.

perfect! Exactly what I need 🤩🤩
clicked on this shit so fast lol lets go 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for this video, does this apply to quad skating as well? If not what are the differences?

@@DeezSkates Thank you!

Wheels from Endless blading. They’re on par with Under Cover wheels but way cheaper. When I buy wheels with my own money, it’s all I buy.
