    Even when historically healthy, big men hit the cliff at age 33. Best case scenario is that Joel has 3 years left of being a superstar. Worst case is he's just injured a bunch and those years end up going to waste.
    Either way, yeah, Sixers fans should be panicking. They're not good enough to compete for a chip right now, and it's highly unlikely they'll be good enough by the time Embiid hits the cliff.

  • @liamdevine8063

    My guess is that he has had an injury which has hampered his ability to train. The problem however is not that the injury is making training impossible, it just makes it harder and more painful or whatever. And Embiid not willing to deal with that.
    They put him out because they wanted to give him a taste and get him motivated to do what he needs to in order to train properly and get fit.

    Embiid is a 🤡. Always has been. In his career he's been NBA fit maybe 25% of the time - entirely because he's lazy. He ruined Philly by being totally lazy and outta shape when Simmons was cooking. Then threw Simmons under the bus the one year he decided to be professional. If he'd been professional and a good team mate they'd have won AT LEAST one ring. Probably two.
    He's a bum. A bum with a huge pile of Philly's cash.

    This is what happens after 12 seasons, without the new softer load management (play 60, get paid for 82) Embid would be finishing his career as a 10-15 minute back up. Not everyone is Brady or LBJ. More athletes age like Embid, Rodgers, Shaq, Kawai or Blake. By 32-33 yrs old the downward spiral begins. Max contracts past 32 are nuts unless your name is LBJ or Brady. But owners can’t help themselves.

      KD and Steph are still playing at an incredibly high level, and they're in their mid 30s. And it looks like the same will be true for Jokic. He doesn't get seriously hurt and has never played less than 69 games in a season. That's partly because of his work ethic, and partly because he doesn't need to jump or flop to be effective.

You can't get into shape by not playing NBA games. There is nobody on the 76ers that can imitate what KAT is or Adebyo, or Evan Mobley. George never learns to play a role on a team. He always thinks he is the A1 on his squad. The issue with that is inconsistency and injuries. Combined with Embid always falling to the floor and getting injured I just don't see how this works. They also patched together a team in the offseason. I don't have a lot of hope for this team. Embid at this point needs to be on a good team that is a Championship contender with him on or off the floor for him to win a chip.

    Why is getting up and down the court a few times so exhausting? I'm 47, 50 pounds overweight, not a professional athlete and can play pickup and keep up with teens. What's so hard about this? Whatever reason you give, why are other 7 footers not having the same issues? Why would going less than a hundred feet a few times be like running a 5k?

    maybe we should just keep throwing more and more billions at players until they are too valuable to let them on the court while paying for all these non-playing billionaires by paying for more subscriptions for every single pro game, higher ticket prices, and please let's split the screen and run ads non-stop along the bottom

    He's not going to fall off like Shaq because he has much more skills. He can shoot and handle the ball. So even as he declines he should still be a very effective player..

    These guys are just showing they never watched Sixers games (to be honest the probably don’t even watch basketball at all if we are being honest) until late in the season on prime time. He starts the season this way almost every single time. He takes a month to get in shape and then looks amazing everytime.

      @Docwell 9 дней назад

      @@phamawa Yes, if the best player in the league gets injured his team is not going to win lol. This should be so obvious that it’s not worth mentioning. People get so emotional about Embiid getting injured it’s so weird lol.
      The guy is just a freak. He is too big for the gravity of earth and has the skill of a guard in a center. It’s just something where his body breaks down and it is what it is. Also, he has had some stupid freak injuries like getting elbowed in the face and other things. So blaming it all on him is only what a fool would do.

    • @phamawa
      @phamawa 9 дней назад

    Didntt pheonix shaq come after miami shaq who was already well past his prime? Embiid last year was the runaway mvp until he got hurt and he put up ridiculous numbers in the playoffs on 1 leg. After 1 game saying this stuff is just insane

      Until he got hurt. Happens a lot to him. There was 82 games in a season, and he played 39. Monster numbers in the playoffs too. Of course he lost in the first round, so not saying much.

    Embiid is a big nothing burger. Whopping albatross contract, literally has played HALF his career games. Artifically bloated numbers from flopping and preferential treatment from the refs. And when it comes to what matters he sucks. Never even made it to the conference finals in the perpetually weaker east.

    Embid is one of the worst watches imo. Even when healthy he runs into people, steps on people, flails around and elbows people. He’s a clumsy, bumbling, “athlete”. Injuries can sometimes be unlucky but ultimately if you’re the least athletic guy on the floor with great athletes, you won’t be able to avoid clashing into them without intending too. He’s responsible for his injuries and his immaturity has always been an issue. No team will win a championship with him
