25/8/8 the girl is balling out. That’s a huge line in the wnba. But they played horrible in stretches. And Minnesota is a savvy veteran squad. It’s actually good for Indiana. It hurts right now but as they say you learn way more from a loss than you do a win.
😮 Don't know about others but I'm 🙏 for God Almighty to let CC excell due to the haters and let the Fever WIN every game. Hope you'll do the same at gametime! 😊
I agree with all of what was said here! And you know what? I am very happy to be able to see an athlete transform a team and a sport like Catlin is doing! This is unprecedented in sports history! He is right we all are seeing history made right before our eyes! And it is awesome to see!
They didn't win because that Minnesota coach and players. Don't practice, they just watch Caitlin Clark and players play and then they get ready for battle, so they come up with different plays. Beautifuly Caitlin Clark and players, Coach.❤🏀👏🙏
Once again I love your complete analysis. it gets me thinking outside of the box. I appreciate it when you say we are watching history that always reminds me of my dad. Thank you.
Winning never shows the true mettle of a person OR a team, the Fever held together under the pressure and made fine showing in this match up. Losses are where you learn the lessons that make you winners.
I'm not basketball fan but I've been captured by this story. You're right about this loss being relatively unimportant. The goal is emerging victorious and hoisting the cup.
Clark you got this. Only advice is to keep working on midrange pull up and your floater. Good luck and godspeed galls. Lets get this championship! Oh, and let also improve on team turnovers.
Clark has to learn how to play in spite of the ref’s calls or lack of them. That will come with maturity. I agree with someone else that Mitchell needs to learn to share the basketball. Coach Sides needs to help the team defensively. Maybe give the starters the last 3 games off to rest. Lexii Hull should start, as she does so much for The Fever that doesn’t show up in the stats.
A rest is agood idea but not 3 games. It will interfere with what their bodies are use to doing. 2 full days rest is a good start for energy conservation for some of them.❤❤
They're NOT the worst team in the world! Their talent was always there! They just needed self-confidence. Caitlin makes teammates better! She did this at Iowa, too; she isn't a one woman team; she's a leader! I'm not even mentioning her BB ability!
Fagbenle one day shall realize she's absolutely phenomenal then no one will stop her. AB and Fagbenle need to shoot the open shots they have when they are at the top post at the free throw line. That shot is always there.
Reeve to Refs: "Quit calling fouls on my players..Im a Gold medal winning USA coach, you wanna keep your job??" 20-25 Free throws for Minnesota, 11-13 for Indy.. 10 point win, NINE points of difference RIGHT there Look at the box score..Every other friggin category was even or close to it.The Home team usually gets the benefit of some calls(Right or wrong, thats just how it is) Were they playing in Minnesota last night???
No offense but what do you mean? Twelve is the max they're allowed to have. Or do you mean better players on the bench? They're on the bench for a reason. 🙂
@@gardengal87 LOL Hull is actually the best player on the team , she's just having to do the bulk of the defense when she should be playing more offensively . 5 shots taken 3/5 with 2/2 for 3's she should be taking 10-15 shots a game .
I'm not worried about the big three as much as I am about the others. I rather see Hull get more shots than Duntas. Smith is out of control a lot of the times. Also there was one possession where Lexie Hull covered 2 people and stopped a shot....but no one got the rebound after all of that effort.
This team is not playoff ready. Their biggest weakness is Sides, who does NOT have the ability to make changes needed during the games. Note how other teams adjust at halftime giving the Fever a difficult 3rd quarter. Substitutions by Sides are horrible, lacking any scheme.
Odd thing about the Fever and the play offs, no team will have the traditional home court advantage this year. The majority of the fans in the stands will be rooting for Clark and the Fever. That's got to be good for a handful of Fever points each game.
I know I should not make such a snap judgement and, yes I could be way off-base - They could win it all with little difficulty - If the x factor can keep up with what they need and require.

It was a great loss. They played their guts out and it sucks the referees lost it for them in the 3rd qtr. It will help them to improve and give them a good idea of how hard the playoffs will be. A lot to be learnt from this game. ❤❤
Fever need all players know how to score. If you check Lynx scorecard, top 3 players underperformed against fever' top3, but all their 10 players scired. That's a real team work.
I think they could win the championship. Won't be easy. If Caitlin gets injured because of an agressive flagrant foul, the WNBA is done. The NBA will pull its charitable support and the whole thing will fall apart like a cheap suit. And these jealous women are quite capable ot doing that.
That's true Cc is a big problem for every team of WNBA, that's why 2watchman against her,,if not, will rain 3points in the court bec. of CC..❤ 😂😂😂 #IndianaFeverFans from Philippines...🫰🫰🫰
They all need to focus on stopping their assignment on defense. No getting caught sleeping or sagging unnecessarily or taking a possession off. I think some of them even need a refresher on fundamental positioning. You always position yourself where you are between your person and the basket, close enough to contest a pass and angled so you can always see your person and the ball. If you can't see the ball you don't know when it is coming. If you can't see your person you don't know when they start a cut. It is simple, it just takes commitment. This goes for Clark as much as anyone.

Because they will have to loose a game or two to the fever and we all know the links coach doesn't want to loose to CC
Wow well said, I mean if you’ve been following CC then you know Reeves is the #1 hater and CC exposed her to the world. So I watched Sides,Reeves and the refs throw the game to avoid embarrassment
I expect the Fever will make history regardless of winning the championship. I do hope they win but in my mind they have already won! The come back from such a low start, the development of their game play The numbers of not just CC but the team as a whole. They are having fun!
Just as there has been a "jelling', a coming together of, "TEAM" for the Fever, a maturing... and insanely FAST maturing by not just Caitlin Clark, but everyone on that squad during the regular season? This must also happen in the Playoffs. It's a totally different beast, in every way, shape, and form. Thing is, Caitlin Clark already KNOWS this beast. She was beginning to slay it, too, when the quick passage of time, had her in the WNBA, as happens to those who are destined for this profession. Many players have FEAR, in regards to this quick-change. I've never seen an ounce of fear or doubt, on the face of this woman. Disbelief at horrible non-calls, indifference to the same. Even humor. And of course, ANGER. But that anger? Is almost always towards HERSELF. Tiger Woods had this. Michael Jordan. Joe Montana. ALL of the greats. It's called being DRIVEN. To sound a bit Shakspirian... SHE FEARS NOT, THE BEAST. SHE WELCOMES IT. The beast CHALLENGES HER, and she THRIVES in it's challenge. We ARE witnessing history. We just need to remember one, very simple thing: NO SINGLE MAN OR WOMAN, HAS EVER WON A TEAM SPORT. I don't care how much they APPEAR to have done so. Why is the WNBA so AFRAID of this team? Because of that last sentences, very last word. TEAM. They have begun to BELIEVE, as Caitlin Does. The monster is THEIR'S TO SLAY. And they appear to be VERY hungry, to boot. It will all come down... to just how well they "Playoff-Jell". When they do? ALL WILL SEE IT. And it will be a sight to behold.
Player only meeting to get everyone on CCs page n sides b damned - players r gonna make mistakes but sides bs game plan n player subs r killin the team
She should of had another Triple double, but these refs are being paid off. She literally got bodied and no foul, there’s no way MJ wouldn’t of got a foul on that call. Nalyssa Smith got foul like 4 times and bodied too and she didn’t get any fouls call. 25 to 13 fouls definitely tells the story of this game
If things stay as they are, this matches the Fever up with the Sun in the first round. They'll be at Connecticut for the first 2 games, but I think they split and then I give them the win at home to take the first round 2-1. They would next play the winner of the 2-7 seeds, which is likely to be the Lynx. That's proven to be a bad matchup for them, so I think the Lynx knock them out in the semi-finals. The Fever take one game off them (maybe two), but I think they ultimately lose the series. Still, in this scenario, making it to the semi-finals in the first year of this new team would be a heck of a run. Keep the core group together, give them a full off-season, and they could easily run it back even better next year. We'd also have to see who, if anyone, gets poached in the 2025 expansion draft to Golden State.
Someone please tell Kelsey Mitchell that it is okay to pass the ball. The more she dribbles the worse she is. Lousy game by her regardless of the 23 points.
CC is a leader on the floor, but they have a coach who is supposed to be the leader developing the team and game plans. Dides is slacking in that respect, relying too heavily on Clark to make it happen in the game, but Clark cannot develop a defense on the fly, especially when that is her weak point.
Keep this crap off of social media. One person is not supposed to get their way because you want them to. Look at the other players in the league. She doesn’t play defense and leads the league in turnovers. No team wants the other teams best players to score on them.
I think Coach Sides is doing a great job, with a very young team developing the chemistry and instilling her O. She has had a learning curve just like the players and appears to be growing and by extension her team is growing.
Imagine the Fever implementing, Tex Winter’s, triangle offense. Strategy: The initial setup of the triangle offense, with a sideline triangle to the right of the free throw lane. The point guard (circled "1") has brought the ball up the floor, passed to the shooting guard (circled "2"), and cut to the strong-side corner The offense starts when a guard passes to the wing and cuts to the strong-side corner. The triangle is created from a post player on the strong-side block, the strong-side corner, and the extended strong-side wing, who gains possession on the first pass. The desired initial option in the offense is to pass to the strong-side post player on the block who is in good scoring position. From there the player has the options of looking to score or pass to one of the perimeter players who are exchanging from strong-side corner and wing, a dive cut down the lane, or the opposite wing flashing to the top of the key which initiates another common option known as the "pinch post". If a pass to the block is not possible, the second option is either to pass to the weak-side guard who flashes top of the key from the weak-side wing position or passing to the strong-side corner. If the ball is passed to the corner the options are either shoot, pass to the strong-side block, or pick and pop with the wing. If it is passed to the weak-side guard it initiates the "pinch post" option. There are two options. The first and most common is to pass to the weak-side forward who flashes to the elbow (corner of the key at the free throw line) to receive the pass. When he does the options are a rub handoff, back door cut by guard without the ball, post up of the guard on a smaller player, or face up and attack. The second option is a pick and roll with the forward. The advantage to the first option is there are so many weapons to attack the defense it opens up a lot of freedom and ability to score effectively. The advantage on the second option is that the player who has the ball and uses the screen now has the entire side of the floor to work with to go one on one. Meanwhile, on the other side, the wing sets a screen for the corner guard on the triangle split. If the hand-off is not available, the forward or the guard can pass to the corner guard coming off the screen. If the defense overplays or expects the split, both the wing and the corner guard can back cut to the basket. During all of this time the original strong-side block player is able to establish position for an easy shot while the defender is lured by all of the movement and cutting by the other players. If the strong-side wing-to-guard pass is not possible, the third option is for the weak-side forward to flash to the strong-side elbow, take the pass, and cut to the basket on the trademark backdoor play of the offense. Meanwhile, the wing and corner guard exchange on a down screen. The forward with the ball can pass to the cutting guard or to the corner guard coming off the wing's screen. If nothing's available, he can shoot the basketball himself. The offense also has a variety of options if there is heavy pressure from the defense. If the initial wing-pass by the guard is not available, the triangle can be created on the other side by passing to the other guard, who then passes to the weak-side forward (who then becomes the strong-side wing). The guard, who initially had the ball, then cuts to the other corner. The center or the pressured wing can flash to the opposite post. If the guard-to-guard pass is not available, the weak-side forward can make a similar flash cut that was mentioned earlier. That also creates many cutting opportunities. If there is heavy pressure on everybody, the center can release the pressure by cutting to the high post for a pass by the ball-handling guard. That would also create space for possible cuts.
The Fever is evolving and dragging the WNBA with them.Kudos to CC, AB, and KM and the rest of the team.

We just need to remember one, very simple thing:
NO SINGLE MAN OR WOMAN, HAS EVER WON A TEAM SPORT.
Th wich sertainly did her homework... studies CC.and th Fever well. Th plot thickens in th story yet t unfold.
Can Sides coach that's the turd on the court!!
No complaining but you left out Luck
Minnesota Lynx has good solid team will be hard to knock them out of the playoffs.
i would say having katie Lou play was a mistake as well
Is that former SS Kimberly Cheatle as the coach for the Lynx? Or her sister?
They won't get past 1st Round unless the team tighten up.

The Fever will get through the first 3 games playoffs in the first round. That's it. It will take a miracle for the Fever to win the Championship.
They lost because they have zero perimeter dehense
Someone please tell Kelsey Mitchell that it is okay to pass the ball. The more she dribbles the worse she is. Lousy game by her regardless of the 23 points.
if not this year, the Fever will win it all. MJ, Pippen, Rodman did not take breaks
CC is a leader on the floor, but they have a coach who is supposed to be the leader developing the team and game plans. Dides is slacking in that respect, relying too heavily on Clark to make it happen in the game, but Clark cannot develop a defense on the fly, especially when that is her weak point.
Even CC can't beat the refs. The Fever will not advance past their first round.

@@ACholland-j3q they saying the reffs wont let them win, how does that make them a hater?
@@ACholland-j3q rethink your reaction.
Same as Iowa's NCAA championship game against LSU.
@@ACholland-j3q What am I hating?
Need a defensive forward that can put the breaks on Collier, Wilson and Stewart.
Keep this crap off of social media. One person is not supposed to get their way because you want them to. Look at the other players in the league. She doesn’t play defense and leads the league in turnovers. No team wants the other teams best players to score on them.
??????????????????????
I think Coach Sides is doing a great job, with a very young team developing the chemistry and instilling her O. She has had a learning curve just like the players and appears to be growing and by extension her team is growing.
Sides is the problem. She doesn't know when to call a much needed time out. She's clueless on the rotational of players.

She can't see players who have a bad game, can't do good sub decisions
Imagine the Fever implementing, Tex Winter’s, triangle offense.
Strategy:
The initial setup of the triangle offense, with a sideline triangle to the right of the free throw lane. The point guard (circled "1") has brought the ball up the floor, passed to the shooting guard (circled "2"), and cut to the strong-side corner
The offense starts when a guard passes to the wing and cuts to the strong-side corner.
