I tried use a speed square but ended up clamping a piece of wood to the end and tracing it and using it as a pattern. I could not get the fit as tight as I wanted otherwise. I don't do this stuff everyday so that was my best option.
Sorry, I don't have any plans or a list. I made everything fit as I went. There are some dimension I have left for others in the comments. Basically the posts are 6x6. the rim is a 2x10 I think and the joists are 2x6. I spent a lot of time on Pinterest of all places looking for ideas and scale.
I am sorry but I do not. The posts are 6X6, the rim boards are 2 x 8 and the rafters are 2 x 6. The length dimensions will be dictated on the size you decide to make. The ceiling below the roof is 1/4" plywood and the roof sheathing is 1/2" plywood.
@@bryansprojects3570 did you use 2x6 rafters and a 2x6 ridge board? just wondering if the bottom of the rafter is is smooth with the bottom of the ridge board? thanks
Cuts are clean. Very good work my friend 👍🏻
Thanks! Positive comments are always appreciated.
Thank you for this video I'm trying to do one right now.. and have no idea what I'm doing. But I'm going to give it hell.
Nicely done! Great proportions and looks solid.
BTW, Your pavilion looks great!!
Excellent tutorial
Awesome.
From Russia
Great work!! What is the overall size of this from post to post?
I wish my girlfriend trusted me as much as you trust those bolts that are holding the entire weight of your roof
Incredible. Thanks for posting this video. Where did you get that lumber? The Lowes and Home Depot near Portland Oregon have horrible lumber.
I think I got all of this lumber at Lowes, I had to pick through as usual to get the best. Most of the lumber here sucks too.
@@bryansprojects3570 :). Well done Sir.
What size of material did you use to make your pavilion?? I can make out the 2x6 and 6x6 post but what's the size of the boarder??
The lumber for the rim is 2 x 8.
What's the rafter material size ?
Bryan, did you use anything else besides screws to secure rafters ?
I just used screws. If you were concerned with wind or other loads you could use some sort of brackets. I just did not want to see them.
BryanR461 were those structural screws?
I just used long deck screws.
Be careful with pulling the end cuts off a table saw when the blade is still on.. That's a sure way to loose a finger.
How'd u calcilulate the birdmouth cuts ?

Do you have the material list and dimensions (plans)? If so how can I access them? Thanks

How fare apart is the rafters?
I divided the length up to be able to get even spacing between 16 and 14, I think it ended up around 20 and a half inches.
@@bryansprojects3570 thanks!!
