How in the hell did you get your cover out so easily??? Mine is caught under the metal of the cavity frame in the front and under the hvac in the rear. I see no other way other than to get a big pry bar and hope the plastic flexes 😡 Been at this for about 40 minutes now

Great video. You were lucky not having the early version fuel pump with the hard line banjo fitting and triple square bolt, it's a massive pain to remove as you can imagine.

I just read (rockauto PCV notes) those bends in the PCV hose are a design of the passive oil droplet collection system to prevent oil from making it to the PCV valve and clogging it.

Your new ignition switch should have came with some indexing rings. These are thin and silver, about a 1/16th" thick that you screw onto the threads, set the depth, then put the assembly in from the back. If it sticks out too far, unscrew it a round or two until you get it the depth you want.

Followed step by step only thing I had a problem was taking the bracket off the cooler cause you can’t see or really get to it

Great video. Did not work for 2014 Acadia 3.6, part didn't fit. However, I was able to get a foot of heater hose from Autozone (part number 50277), and replaced the quick connects with just hose and two clamps. Made sure to cut the hose as close to what's needed to ensure the bend in the hose would be minimal. Still working great.

Okay.I think I have a wire issue because when I move the wire or one wire or just the whole little harness it will turn off the car.

Unfortunately the 800-403 does work for a 2015 Acadia, too small.

Well Idk what my mechanic did to the car before it ended up in my hands but theres midding hoses. And of all my luck that tiny little hose snapped off so i gotta wait 2 days for that to ship. Never buying used again😭

This soft top system looks extremely similar to the one on my '84 Escort Mk3, including the points of failure unfortunately. I couldn't find videos of the replacement process on that, so I'm very glad I found this. Might try to tackle it soon!

Oh and if you have a oil leak on the tappet cover try to fix it also as the engine oil will cause the bushings to swell and waer faster

You have to lube all those conections with silicone grease I did not see you do that you gonna do this job in 3 months time again if you don't grease them and don't use normal grease as dirt and oil will stick to it and become a grinding paste
