Could you tell me what diameter of silver do you use for the earring posts? and is it hard or soft?

Hello
I used 0.8 mm soft silver wire for the earring posts, after which I tumbled them to harden the wire.
Generally, earring posts are between 0.8 - 1 mm (20 - 18 gauge), and I usually use soft wire as I tumble them afterwards, but you can easily use hard wire as well, just remember it gets a bit soft after soldering.

It is an acid bath that the earrings are put into after soldering to remove excess flux and oxidation.

The paste I put on the back of the studs before soldering is called Silver solder paste. It is a combination of both flux and silver solder.
