    What is the brand name of your blazer? I’m in the process of trying to decide of what laser I want to buy. And I’m mostly going to be using it for fingerprints, and names. so I don’t need a real expensive laser. Anyway, if you can give me some ideas, I’m super appreciate it. Wonderful video Thanks Michelle

    • @MadebyLeth
      @MadebyLeth 3 месяца назад

      Hello Michelle I'm using the xTool F1 laser. It is a laser that both has a regular laser and a fiber laser for metal. However, the fiber laser is only 2W, so it takes a long time before it engrave the metal and it is very shallow, but it can easily mark the metal as in the video here. The F1 laser is probably the most user-friendly and best for the price if you can live with 2W as it also comes with a laser design program. But if I had to choose again, I would probably have spent a little more money on a more powerful fiber laser, so I could engrave better and cut some metal.

    1. Isn’t this more dangerous than wearing the ring as far as safety? 2. The clip is bigger than the ring and steals all its attention 3. Just put the ring through the necklace 4. The fact you had to make a heavy metal clip to make this appropriate for men is insane

    • @MadebyLeth
      @MadebyLeth 4 месяца назад

      Thank you very much for your comment @melody3741. 1. Technically, it is correct that it would be safer to put the ring directly through the necklace, but the purpose of the ring holder is to make it convenient to have a place to put the ring when it cannot be worn. My ring holders are often made for healthcare professionals who take their rings off and on many times a day, and therefore find it more cumbersome to take a necklace on and off constantly. Additionally, there is also a risk of not closing the necklace properly the more times it is taken off and on. 2. I agree that the ring holder is larger than it should be for the ring shown in the video. The ring holder was ordered by a customer who has a ring twice the size of the one in the video, for which it is specifically made. 3. Same as point 1. 4. I have sold other types of ring holders for several years, and all my buyers have been women, but this design was specifically requested by a male buyer. Combined with the fact that it could be something I would personally wear as a man, I decided that the title of the video could be 'for men.' I hope this helps clarify some of your points.

    Great video. Could you tell me what diameter of silver do you use for the earring posts? and is it hard or soft?

    • @MadebyLeth
      @MadebyLeth 4 месяца назад

      Hello I used 0.8 mm soft silver wire for the earring posts, after which I tumbled them to harden the wire. Generally, earring posts are between 0.8 - 1 mm (20 - 18 gauge), and I usually use soft wire as I tumble them afterwards, but you can easily use hard wire as well, just remember it gets a bit soft after soldering.

    Can we hammer instead of taking it out of the box steel plate

    • @MadebyLeth
      @MadebyLeth 5 месяцев назад

      Hello Sharda Yes, you can. The advantage of the draw plate is that the chain becomes very uniform, quickly. You will also be able to use a rolling mill if you have one. However, you can of course also do it with a hammer and make it just as uniform.

      In the video, I use 0.8 mm wire. If you use 1 mm you can easily use 8 and 14 mm, you can also do it with 1.2 mm wire, however, the bracelet will be tight and it may be beneficial to go up a size to 9 and 15 or 10 and 16 depending on how lose you want it.

      @@sergente1 The bracelets are approximately 33 cm in length. It took about 100 rings to make it. Each ring is made on a 14 mm mandrel, which means they are 14 mm in diameter. The ring itself is 0.8 mm + 14 mm in diameter = 14.8 mm x 3.14 = 46.47 mm = 4.65 cm per ring x 100 = 465 cm = 4.65 meters of wire.

      Thank you very much! Usually, burrs can become more dull over time. I usually use beeswax as a lubricant, but I must admit that I often forget too. I haven't really thought about it with my cup burrs since I often don't use them for as long of a time as others, but over time they will probably become dull too.
