Well there was a Soviet cartoon that was based on a Soviet version of the story called 'The Wizard of the Emerald City' (and it's essentially the same basic story, except Dorothy's name is Ellie), but it was stop-motion and I don't think it has ever been dubbed nor do any subs exist

Was the scarecrow really packing heat in the original? I certainly don't remember that. I remember the Lion carrying a bug-catcher's net, but certainly no gun.
Actually in the 1939 film, the scarecrow was carrying a toy revolver, the lion carried a huge net and the tin man carried a huge bug spray.
