Neil "Supernatural" Pickup is the best armwrestling commentator in the world. Also a former British Armwrestling champion and founder of Arm Wars. He is one of THE best in the business. Bringing the WAL into the spotlight has been more exciting these last few years with some insane matches than ever. Now that they have changed a few rules, (the strap for instance is one of my favorite changes) it will prove to be interesting this coming season. If Eddie can just do the exercises and practice enough, lock in one or two techniques he will want to use for this match, he may be able to create a competitive match out of it where RVJ will have to work, use the vectors (shout out to engineers and ryan bowen for bringing that word back) for the win. Who really knows but professional armwrestlers can humble most people who are power lifters, big and strong, etc. in an armwrestling match without really having to struggle most of the time.
If I wanted strength tho Id rather have the strength in Eddies categories and not that of armwrestler because that strength is pretty much useless in the real world and doesnt define your overall strength at all.
Eddie's strength comes with huge disadvantages too, anyone could outrun him and he doesn't have any condition. Just look at his video where he tried the military course, a couple meters of running and he drops down.

@@nd7231 Swimming is a shit example considering when swimming you have a buoyancy force pushing back reducing the amount of weight you need to keep above the surface. "Well, you'll have to ask his missus"
That guy's brilliant 😂
I'm so glad arm wrestling is beginning to take off. With Juji bringing new fans to the sport and now Eddie? I joined in 2018, just the right time. This is awesome.
It's just a "whole nother" game. Impressive that Neil can hold Eddie and still have
surplus energy to teach while doing so.
Loved this vid. Sorry to say but this is the best in a while.
Good luck Eddie!!!!
Neil is an amazing guy. I would love to meet him and learn how to do this properly.
I've never been beaten arm wrestling (in a pub or with friends), but clearly it's a science and there are people out there with so much technique and knowledge.
Thanks for uploading this, loved it.
"Your travel regime is immoral"
Jesus. He isn't travelling around with Prince Andrew is he?
Sam Kant 🤣😂🤣like yer work
OH. MY. GOD. LMAOOO
One of my pet peeves is people misusing that word. "Exercise 'regime'". Thought I was the only one.
@@JeffO- Wait, google says that "regime" also means "a system or ordered way of doing things." And uses as an example "a coordinated programme for the promotion or restoration of health; a regimen.
"
"a low-calorie, low-fat regime."
What's wrong with saying you have a certain ordered way of exercising or travelling?
@@_APV_ That's the first time I've seen that. I've looked it up in at least two online dictionaries to confirm and haven't seen that alternate definition. Maybe the vernacular has made it's way into a dictionary.
Neil Pickup is the best commentator out of any sport. The guy’s an encyclopedia of his sport and the lines he comes out with crack me up. The bloke could make watching paint dry sound like a world cup final.
Neil is is a really really nice guy as well as a legend!
Coach is a straight badass Eddie was straining on the pull and he was speaking with such enthusiasm on the proper technique and didn’t sound strained all
rick toretto Cheers mate 🙏 it was great to be able to talk about the Sport I love with Eddie
Next Jujimufu video: ARMWRESTLING WITH EDDIE HALL AND DEVON LARRATT
@Jo.Jpeg perfect
There should be Larry wheels too
Fantastic having Eddie showcase our sport. Good luck in April mate!
A trainer that focuses on safety over a possible stronger option. That's great, hope you do well eddie
he got him into the mess, i guess he had time to think about it. there are egos at play here, which is always dangerous if they are not on the same skill level (Eddie is no armwrestler, right?).
so yea, let's not break the arm for a publicity stunt ;)
Neil is a natural teacher, amazing stuff! Credit were its due on his teaching!
Liam Smith Thanks 🙏 mate much appreciated
“He can not pick his own nose, physical impossibility.” I don’t know why, but that’s so funny.
Who is this referred to?
Markiyan Hapyak did u not watch the video
Not gonna lie I could've done without the music in this one m8. I was genuinely just enjoying the guy talking and you learning and taking it in. Much love, much respect.
Really gotta appreciate Neils passion and charisma. Preach! 🙏🏻
Kaiser Joakim Thanks 🙏 Brother
I love watching Eddy learning something new. You can see he puts everything he has into being the best at what ever he's doing. Power lifting, WSM, crossfit, boxing, arm wrestling... he just has such a incredible drive inside
Ngl I thought I liked brian shaw more than Eddie, buuut, Eddie hall is always trying new things. Cross fit, gymnastics, boxing and now ARM-WRESTLING!! he really is a BEAST
Fellow Chuunibyou because he retired and Brian not so he can’t afford injury dummy
@@nsb2021 I know he's retired, so he has more free time, but I still feel that he's more daring to try new things than brian, even when he was still a strongman
He accepted a challenge to arm wrestle Lalas when he was still a strongman, Brian Shaw on the other hand has never actually had a proper arm wrestle before, other than his one with Eddie
You literally have one of the best guys of all time helping you. This man is a legend when it comes to arm wrestling, I would love to see a collaboration with you and Scot Mendelson as I think he'd give you alot of great tips and tricks as he's a large man himself plus he ran through Travis Bagent who is another legend in the sport.
Matthew Field Thanks for the Props mate 🙏
@@neilpickup-supernaturalstr3157 it's my honor, nothing but love from the East Coast in America. It's crazy how close arm wrestling and strength sports are together, I started in powerlifting and strongman but while working as a bouncer back in 2011 two guys I worked with were arm wrestlers and trained at Team Beast Mode. I immediately fell in love with the sport as a strength athlete it felt so natural pulling, but up until recently I never really got into it seriously and now I'm dying to have a go at it competitively but only down fall is I'm 5'10 262 so might need to lose some weight lol

Who really knows but professional armwrestlers can humble most people who are power lifters, big and strong, etc. in an armwrestling match without really having to struggle most of the time.
love how they are just talking to eddie while teaching him but he is breaking out in a sweat never jugde the size of a arm wrestling pro
@@MrKillApple If youre talking to me I know. I just said if I had to decide between the two I would choose Eddie. In the real world I much prefer endurance over strength tbh.
@@nd7231 definitely a born athlete, I bet if you strapped 78kg+ on and went for a run you'd struggle, take the weight out and like mentioned he's a shark 😂 plus strongman takes a lot of cardiovascular strength, look st the bpm of someone doing a truck pull
@@nd7231 Swimming is a shit example considering when swimming you have a buoyancy force pushing back reducing the amount of weight you need to keep above the surface. The fact is Eddie doesn't have insane endurance but increased endurance in water has he's needing to carry less weight than normal due to buoyancy.
Man is a genic mutate freak of a athlete but talk about blowing smoke up his arse.
Neil Pickup should be commentating everything, born to commentate! Love the guy!
Stygia Thanks 🙏 so much mate
The fact I didn't know this was a thing😂😂 Eddie is the Goat of all physical activities💯
Except jumping
And arm wrestling!!! Different sport huge fan of Eddie's but different world. He loses every match
@@miketysonkirby3119 he done the back flip video tho😂
@@brannanwilliams5496 he might do but he's always trying and exceeding at what he does🤷♂️🤷♂️
@@csmithz532 for sure he does. I love Eddie and if he stuck at it could be great at it but not there yet. Go watch thor vs devon larratt and that's what it looks like when pro arm wrestler vs strongman. 2 different sports. GREATS at what they do.
So this is how you confront challenges. I love it! Feeling really inspired. Thank you Eddie!

all these youtubers getting into armwrestling, dope
Best video I have seen in a loooong time. Neil is a great teacher 👌👌💪💪
Eddie please collaborate with Devon sometime. Also very excited to see you cross sports.
Wow mate, turned something seemingly so basic into something incredibly complex then through your clear experience turned it into something easy to understand.
Eddie red faced in a hook... Barely breathing... Neil chatting away and giving advice 😳
I don't think Eddie could do anything against Neil as it stands
@Fouren He doesn't need stamina, he needs strength lol. If you can curl 50kg then holding 20kg is really easy hence why Neil can hold Eddie for a long time without getting tired.
@Fouren it's sparring those mean nothing and all armwrestlers know that, especially against devon who always gives his opponents a better position in sparring but he could flash pin larry if he wanted
@Fouren actually i was saying that devon wasn't really struggling against larry but I gotta agree with you on what this lol
This is like listening to Yoda teach you the force. This is gold, I've watched Neil for a while now but never heard him teach, I hope Eddie realized the amount of knowledge given to him in the short amount of time.
Joshua W. Thanks 🙏 Brother
Eddie was putting some effort into that, going red and sweating and the other bloke was just talking casually as if nothing was happening while they were both wrestling.
Guy in black was the former world champ.
Honestly can't wait to see the next video, Eddie's content is unreal he's trying his hand at everything! Respect I don't go to the gym and I still find Eddie a true inspiration in life.
To win an arm wrestle... FIRST: stay hydrated
Such a fantastic motivational video. To see a guy so passionate and informative and instructing the beast is brilliant; Eddie is totally involved
Every strongman connecting with armwrestling in the last 6 months
Always a joy to watch Neil. Eddie couldn't've asked for a better teacher.
Mr. Vybson Thanks for the support 🙏
Eddie ain't scared to try anything Mr Neil looks like he still has it
What a privilege to get coached by the world's best. Very awesome.
This guy's got some good one liners. Guess we could call them pickup lines :D
PS: awesome work having a legend like Neil Pickup on your channel 💪🏼
Neil seems a top bloke you'll learn a lot from him and you'll definitely be ready for the match his commentary at britain strongest man was funny
“Tell your missus to keep the bed warm for me” - 😂 love it! I didn’t realise arm wrestling was so tactical!!
First time im seeing Neill. He has something different makes you watch very carefully also hes very enthusiastic which i find amusing
SDASneijder glad you liked it mate 🙏
He does commentary for the WAL. You can find vids on RUclips. Some of the stuff he comes out with is absolutely classic. Well spoken and entertaining guy.
I don't think people understand how good of a coach this guy is, we all just learnt years of wrestling in one video.
Yaaaassss finally Eddie does arm wrestling I feel like he can tear a lot of arms up 🤙🤙💪💪💪
Damn straight mate! Once his got the technique, it’s going to be hard to stop Eddie! The younger Richard Lupkes Love Richard what a monster 😳😱
Would be great to get taught anything by this bloke, loving the vids Eddie we watch them as a family and really like the content especially when your hydrated, Splendid 👍
