Same here I got authorized to get both of my rotator cuff surgeries and my C6-C7 spinal fusion. But I’m not healthy enough to get those surgeries. So my doctors said they can’t do surgery because I will possibly need a blood transfusion and nobody wants that. This new AME said I need a second opinion from different doctors because I may not need those surgeries. When clearly I have torn rotator cuffs and a lot of pain from c6-c7. I was there for 3 1/2 hours waiting and he seen me for no more than 8-10 mins. And didn’t let my ask or tell him anything about my multiple injuries. He said he had all he needed. But 4 of my other injuries where not addressed by the workers comp. Do to me falling from a 2 story apartment building landing on concrete.
@@victorvalenzuela6949 I really don’t think any doctor can deny your injuries you are really a severe case. Those doctors do the best they can for the insurance company but in your predicament, they have to concede that you’re 100% disabled so you really have nothing to worry about and that’s terrible. You had to wait 3 1/2 hours for their doctors. What state are you from?
I have a question I’m Getting paid through L & I . My therapy doctor told me he can’t add more sessions until I see the IME, my question for you is will I still get paid through l & I till I see this IME ?
What happens if you have never received an IME report , you’re treating doctors didn’t receive it either, your lawyer didn’t receive it either. Two months down the claim they still paying you and bam they stop everything because the IMS said you good to go back to work.
In New York State, pursuing to the Worker’s Compensation law, they are required to send a copy of the IME report to you, your doctor and your attorney with an a certain timeframe. You should certainly speak to your attorney about this, because if the filing was late or not received at all, you can petition for it to be precluded. This is not an absolute. It’s certainly worth a try if it’s going to be a harmful report.
The insurance company still has the right to send you for an IME. There are rules regarding convenience and how far they can make you travel for an appointment. You still must attend but they can’t make you travel unreasonable far or at inconvenient times. If you have any more or specific questions feel free to call us at 212-406-8989.
I have been Tortured by Workmans Crap for over 6 years. These people have hindered my ability to get help. I wonder if there is someway to make them learn not to treat everyone like the way they do them dirty. I wish 10x the same way they have treated me.

Yeah, the “I” in IME doesn’t stand for independent or impartial. The “I” actually stands for Interrogation.
