such a difference b/t a film photo shoot and a digital photo shoot.. digital the shutter is constantly popping.. film is more careful about shots and chill.. conversations can be had.. fun watching Millenials marvel over film... we always took it for granted, til now.

This is one of those underrated youtube channel for photography. Keep the videos coming. Kinda sad that other photography youtubers have more subscribers where they just upload the same video content and nothing new. BTW, great content as always :)
Love this video, so useful ! Shots from both photographers looked great, great to see the difference between the two as well. The chillness of the BTS made it so comforting !
These shots are just gorgeous. Helps to have a fantastic beautiful model but really it's that light and tones (the burgundy/red colors) from that beautiful film
Super chill video! Loved the conversation in between as well! 100% agree with you on the value BTS video brings to beginners. Keep that type of video format coming, it felt like I was hanging out with you guys haha.
My God, it is so good. From my perspective the digital cameras only now in 2020 begin to give a similar image to film. Maybe not fully but close. However when I see images token on film it makes me feel like to be in a gallery and swiping trough the history. It is an amazing feeling.
Love the vibe of the vid! Probably my favorite bts film shoot ive watched Im still learning more abt manual mode and shooting portraits, so people like me would love it if you told us a bit about of the technical side (lens used, exposure settings) in the description or the vid itself (still keeping the vibe of the vid tho). Keep up the great content!
Chill video and chill shooting, remids me of collabs I used to do before quarantine. Also good use of the Portra 800, never tried it myself but i'll try it soon or later.
What a gem of a video, loved the color grading, literally all the photos looked amazing specially the ones on the stairs, the colors are so beautiful. And of course the ideas you mentioned for future videos are really good ones. I still struggle with posing my subjects and I still edit all my photos on lightroom, mainly cuz I don’t know how to use photoshop for portraits for example and it’s so overwhelming so it would really help to see a video of you talking about how the whole process applies to you and your workflow 👌👌👏
Guys, just an amazing video and amazing results. I really encourage you to become this a series, but I'd like to see a little bit more about how both photographers compose or give instructions to the model, just to notice the difference between them. Greetings from Spain.
As you mentioned in the video, would be interested in your process/workflow in upcoming videos a lot more than in editing. Keep it up, your inspiring me to shoot more.
I was skeptical about the use use of the continuous light at first when the video started. Seems you metered perfectly for these and they came out amazing.
You know guys - Cool photos, but I personally liked the model facial expressions more when she interacted with you in between the shoot, the smile and so on 🙂
So pretentious
i love that this is pinned

Absolutely. I hate just spray n pray. Too many photos to cull. I like being more mindful and getting things right with fewer photos to cull.
Everything about this shoot is stunning, from the model to the tones in the images.

I love how a girl is interested in a film camera so i can start a conversation naturally without being nerdy and awkward
constant lighting is so underrated for film studio photography. such a good tool especially for newbs

Damn it must suck talking to artists and having them cut you off when you wanna contribute to the conversation lol

Appreciate it!
Love the way the shadows have been scanned/processed in some of the darker shots
Love the new generation using film again : you guys contribute to save film !
Amazing chill vibe and beautiful shots. The model killed it and we can see that she was really intetested about the cam. Cool.
That shot on 5:19 is just out of this world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for having me bro!! Love the result
THANK YOU! We'll have to go again in the future!
something about all the red tones was too comforting and endearing
Sick location, love how y’all vibe together. Makes for dope shots
Wow, that film gives you really beautiful colors! And that combined with these guys talent is the best, astonishing photos
Great pics, and that model is freaking beautiful

Amazing portraits as usual! Love the raw conversations as well. Great stuff.
Perfect music selection! Blending from chill music to the result photos
Great video. Loved the format and commentary during and post shoot
Awesome portraits guys! Miki is an old mate from Australia so was so surprised to see her pop up on my subscriptions hahaha
Each video y'all put out is a massive inspiration boost! Thanks once again for the dope photos and video!

The fact they are blasting Queens of the Stone Age during the photoshoot means, I'm in the right place.

those first couple shots by the stairway on the pentax 🔥
video is amazing, and so were the results. gorgeous stuff like always!
the mamiya rb67 is too smooth, wow
This video feels very nostalgic. Beautiful :)
I have a question, what do you expose at pic 2:27 and 2:39 ?
Both have artificial light, but the second one has black background.
What is the song that you used in the background at around 1:00 ??
Can i get an answer?
C'mon man stop ignoring me, don't take the credit of the song.
Just found it out, it is called "laxcity - your own company". F you dude it took me 1 month and you kept ignoring me.

You got some great tones, just a great use of shadow matched with the light.
5:12 so editorial already, is it coz of the Mamiya or the Portra lol
Great video, thank you, so beautiful. Which lighting system do you use in the stairs?
Holly fuck that lighting, and those colours, gorgeous. Portra 800 the GOAT.

Good Stuff Gentlemen and Miki! I'm definitely leaning toward a constant light set up when shooting film.
That's actually my favourite film photography video.
And i've bought led lights and looking to buy medium format camera because of it
Love the look of that Pentax !!!
great video guys! Do you mind linking the LED light as well as the soft-box? Thanks!

gorgeous work!
RB is a great camera📸love the video
Great video! I would love to see more like it. Using artificial light with film. I loved how you gave an insight into how to direct the talent :)
What's the focal length of the lens used on the RB? Looks like it had to be quite wide being so close by the staircase. Dope shots btw.
+1.
The RB was the 90mm 3.8 Sekor
@@radicaleyemag Thanks, I was thinking of getting the 90mm for my RZ67 before this, I guess I'll get it.
killed it guys! how did you avoid getting muddy, overly grainy shadows with all the dark in the background? you did meter for the highlights right?
interesting camera grip @4:30
These pics are straight heat 🔥
How do you get your scans so clean and smooth like that?
Thats beautiful. Did the photographers test the light with a digital camera or polaroid back for the Mamiya?

Some of the earlier shots are a bit underexposed aren't they?
Amazing video and beautifull photos! Can i ask how slow is the shutter speed using the light panel? Tnx in advanced
1/60 would be the slowest i used. But probably faster for most shots
Great photos
