I lived in Hawaii on Oahu, there was so many young punk assholes in the water, I didn’t snake any waves but always got the greeting of ‘fucking Haole get out of the water and I never did even when Dane Kealoha got in my face at Pipe, just because I took off on a wave after he ate shit on the drop, he told me 3 times to get out of the water, I was still there an hour later.
I like the way this news lady and these locals make localism seem so peaceful and harmless. You’d think they had laws passed in the local city council that made it illegal to surf there if you weren’t a local. I think visiting surfers should always show locals respect and kindness but to be told you ARE NOT Allowed to even paddle out but you may watch is a joke. No one owns a certain square footage of water at any beach that I know about.

Bad analogies. Been ran off plenty basketball courts treated like shit because im not part of the golf country club. Football and tennis seems about right. You can surf with them just show respect maybe take the lesser waves and work your way up. Besides those guys were pretty skinny sure as hell wouldnt view them as a threat
@@johnnyohooo3283 I was the skinny tourist surfing away from the locals, but a good one and knowing all the rules. When I hear, hey you get out looked around and this big guy coming towards me. He broke my board right after I broke his and paddle out. He came after me, never in my life had a real fight now sure would be my first. Face to face took 45 seconds for him take a nap, my friends and I start to walk away. He woke up saw me leaving got up and run after me, gave him a harm lock saying tell me pls let go. I was scare at first when I realize the four years at the gym did work. Now any local that act like him, can only surf on his beach
Dude windan is super gnarly. Especially on a 3-5’ swell, in the summer. I usually wear an extra thick leash and like to drop in on the shoulder just to be safe. Even playing frisbee on the beach is intense, you can easily get washed away by a rouge wave.
They did that north of me for a couple of years then two guys doing it, ended up in the hospital. One had his skull fractured. Fun and Games. Never know when you F with the wrong person.
