Very impressive for the price range. I wouldn't consider any other scooter in this price range. I initially tried a TurboAnt when I first got into electric scooters a couple of years ago, and it was a Turbo Aint. I could barely move on level ground on a windy day, let alone handle a hill.
If you want to handle hills, you really need a dual motor scooter. It's nice to see them adding that to an intro-level budget commuter scooter.
Would love to buy this, been waiting for a scooter like this for cheap!

Have had mine for a few week snow, currently 3d printing some adapters to raise the rear fender and a bought a suspension fork to change it to 10x2 inch tubeless tires. my biggest complaint is the wheel covers and wheels are put together with phillips head screws rather than torx or hex, will be replacing those too. Also one of my screws was put in at an angle and impossible to remove so QA issue but hopefully just mine. and it was not stopping me from removing the motor from the hub, it was one on the back wheel holding the hub cap on only. still for 600 seems great. preorder price was even better

I purchased a 350w(?) Hover-1 scooter from a black Friday Walmart sale 3 or 4 years ago, for about $150, if I remember correctly. I have only used it lightly but it still works. I never saw the scooter I bought listed besides the sale when I bought it.
Dang, surprised to see hover-1 here. They were my first scooter given the entry-level pricing.

I've been in the market for dual motor scooters since I live in a hilly area and I saw this on Amazon just waiting for a review and I'm pretty convinced - I'd just really like to see it tested to the edge bcuz I've heard lots of not-so-great things about Hover-1's quality control.
I have one of the first ones. It's quick compared to rental scooters. Mine came with a defective rear tube that leaked from the valve stem and would not hold air before I even rode it. A few of the screws on the hub side of the wheel were driven in oddly so they cannot be removed. But overall for the price if you are getting some good value.. just may have to work on things

@@g00fysmileyif I get one I'm definitely sliming the tires instead of getting solids especially considering this thing has no suspension and seemingly goes above 20mph - I'm also curious what range has been like for ya, I've got about 5 miles on hilly roads to go to work and back and I could recharge while I'm there but I wanna know your take if you don't mind.

Cruise control is great 👍🏼. On long rides, it helps to relieve fatigue.

When you said you didn’t know how to turn the cruise control off at first I was like, wait! My guy is barreling down the road as 22mph and doesn’t know how to turn the cruise control off, the combination of button presses made it a whole lot more believable but unbelievable lol.
Braking usually shuts it off!
There may be a P setting for turning Kick Start off.

Hey, I'm struggling 😂I have watched so many videos where people are recommending electric scooters. Then, I get to a point and actually read the reviews on Amazon, Best Buy, Target, etc. and some are saying they're junk. Can you help me? I have never had one but I am looking for an inexpensive electric scooter (under $350) to just get me around like if I want to make a quick run somewhere like just for fun. I do have a car so the scooter won't be my full time transportation. Which maybe 3-4 scooters would you personally recommend?

I wonder how that stem mechanism will hold up on hard use?
The latch is not my favorite kind. I've spoken with the product team at Hover-1 and this is an area where I think updates will be made. Lot's of other scooters use this design for the stem and it seems to work ok. -Paul
Just ordered this on Amazon for $355 all in. Only thing that worries me is the 90 day warranty. Excited to give it a whirl.

That’s just on our camera! Doesn’t happen in real life. Cameras don’t pick up screens without it blinking
it's cause of refresh rate from what I understand try filming your computer monitor it will blink too
Considering we're seeing things like the hiboy max pro and even the kqi 3 max hitting closer to 700 lately, this seems incredibly underwhelming tbh. It's deal season! Anyone can do better than this for that price right now.

A little more than that in our speed test. We'll release the full performance test numbers in the review about a week from now. Unlocked it shows 22mph on the speedo, but speedometers always read a little high. -Paul
I hate cruise control.
It's handy on lower end escooters imo. Don't like it on the beefier ones.

It's alright when you can disable it. However when not it gets pretty annoying, hopefully they can.

A few good manufacturers like Niu sell on Walmart, I wouldn't take that as a bad sign.
if treated and maintained go Trax are great had mine for 2 years of almost daily rising and with some preventative maintenance and not jumping curbs the only real problem I have had has been battery 🔋
