You shouldnt put out videos like this with premiers because people see video want to watch it then sees its not available. Guess what they wont come back tomorrow they already took the energy to look at the video when it wasnt live. You are the only person that has premiers in my sub box and im subbed to people with 10m+ subs they dont need it so you dont need it
Adam Celadin slightly off topic here i have a suggestion if u really wanna up your game and show off your skills knife throwing or needles or whatever why not play darts get 180s /9 darter play rounds of darts and many other varieties of games can be played on a dart board just an idea but great videos on samurai weapons etc
And if u really like competition then i suggest u do it all on a darts training board where the doubles trebles and bulls are all half the norm size which are tiny in comparison to a norm sized There are also other dart board u can play on like snooker or even a golf dart board just a few ideas and things for u to try out perhaps
The Hachiwari is very interesting to me, since I don't remember seeing any when I was in Japan and it reminds me of the very thick dagger blades that were used in the west in close heavily armored combat, even though it's curve and use are somewhat different.
As a long time martial artist I have a familiarity with all the weapons in the video...at varying levels. However, the one that I have the most interest in is the Kusari-Gama. Finding someone experienced in its usage or finding demonstrations of the weapon are is difficult. Would certainly like to see a more in depth discussion of that particular weapon and more extensive demonstration of its usage.
Thank you for nice comment Alex, yes we plant to make Full Video about Kusari Gama like you said in more depth :) We plant to make it around Spring/Summer time but i am sure you gonna enjoy future episodes as well :) Oss
Kusari-gama is very difficult to use, even harder than nine-section whip. I prefer the chain to start at the base of the handle, when it's at the top, balance is poor.👍
Master Jakub is real beast. Could listen to him for hours and never get bored ❤️❤️❤️thank you Adam and of course for introducing Maru Sawa 😍😍😍true lady
Wow! I find this seriously impressive! The functionality of these weapons is undeniable, as is the beauty and quality of their craftsmanship and their materials. Beautiful but deadly 🔥⚒️🙏👍
Thanks to three of you guys: Adam, Master Jacub and Deciple. Interesting video, so far Master Jacub was very kind to show technics and Ninja weapons in action
I study Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu. Everything in this video parallels what has been taught to me by my Shihan. Thank you for your accuracy in the descriptions and use of the weapons. We have 18 weapons we use in training. Some very obscure and some very mundane such as Hanbo. Jute training has been the most painful. The techniques for compliance cause excruciating pain. Good job. 👍👍❤️👍👍
I just want to add that the 1st weapon is k ow as a caltrop and the design is so that no matter how its dropped it lands point up and was used mainly in defence against horse Calvary very cruel but effective for slowing not just the advance but hinders their travel because now they have injured men and animals to haul along and even if they just kill the injured animal and leave the soldier they are still slowed because they have to look for more.it was a very effective tool if a little inhumane but war is hell right.
@zodiac2424 And you are completely right! But you know some people on the internet eh? Not that there's anything wrong with being a homosexual, I'm just literally not one and probably some kind of nostalgia caught up with me from the old times when everybody wrote "no homo" after like every possible statement lol

Ninja actually had the same weapons as the samurai they also had kama but apparently and unfortunately did not have chain weapons as there is apparently no historical mention of them and shuriken is kinda a mystery i believe as i think i heard they may have ben around earlier in theory but apparently they have appeared in the late Sengoku period or Edo period and apparently yoused for criminal capture the closest thing ninja would have to ninjato is perhaps wakazashi Also shinobi apparently was a job not really a class as it is a position for anyone high to middle or low samurai,Ashigaru, peasants it is a job where one could come from any class Kama was a fence breaking tool or could even be turned into an improvised grappling hook Real ninja equipment was samurai weapons and pyrotechnics/explosives and calatrops and kama and shuriken atleast in late Sengoku or Edo period, drills, saws, listening devices, infiltration tools of sorts Apparently there is no historical evidence that they practiced unarmed combat however many ninja where samurai and surely ashigaru the reason perhaps why there may be no historical mention may be perhaps in relation to there function for example you infiltrate a heavily fortified area either as a spy or perhaps a commando if your captured your captured Where as the battlefield is more open and chaotic and on a larger scale and with samurai there documents rarely if ever talk about this as unarmed combat was the last of the last resorts but just like modern covert ops and special ops why wouldn't the shinobi learn hand to hand combat and again many of them had a samurai background that said since samurai had to fight armoured enemies they apparently knew how to break bones also samurai and shinobi didn't really learn jiujitsu but they all had there own independent systems from there clans and/or families taught by there parents and grandparents and uncles for example or perhaps someone who joined the warrior groups if say they where peasants or lower class for example like toyotami heiydeioshi the son of a wood cutter turned samurai general for oda nobunagas army Also there may be a debate on them wearing face masks wich is logical perhaps in regards to someone needing to hurry and steal enemy plans or perhaps a cammando or someone who doubled as a spy and commando quickly did maybe say an in and out sabatoge mission as with hand to hand combat why wouldn't they as long as it fitted the circumstances obviously they wouldn't just wear masks in the day time because of the attention they would get
Adam Celadin I just won’t to say I’ll be there and I did learn a lot every time I watch your Chanel and it’s much much Appreciated and I am practicing throwing knives I have 13 of them 12 of medium size not throwing knives there tactical hunting knives stainless steel for the 12 and one is a little bit bigger and it’s kind a awkward to throw if you have any way for me to learn to throw that big knife it would be much much much Appreciated if you could show me how to throw a nice size knife and I was wonting to see if you could shout me out on next video
I like grab thinks with my kusari fundo and trow it. Its very fun. Manriki gusari means the chain of the ten thousands tecnics. Woaw, thats so interesting and instructive. Thanks a lot both for the document !
You know what a great ninja weapon is? A Maglite torch. Nobody is gong to get suspicious when they find one in your car or backpack, making it something ninjas would use if they where still around.
Fun fact ( Edit ): if I'm not mistaken, each clan had its own hira shuriken design and very often the sharp ends were covered in poison to transfer it to the body of an opponent. They were used as a distraction with an assist of a sword ( or any other weapon ) or as a way of slowing down the enemy. Also I have to mention, that ninja were coming from poverty and they functioned like a match - once it ignites, it'll either burn out or get extinguished. In other words, when the ninja was sent on a mission, they'll either finish it with a success ( and then return to the clan ) or die in a battlefield - they had never been returning when there was no hope on finishing the mission.
Well Done Adam! Great episode and look forward to the next. Would like to see you learn (or take a lesson) of Kusari-Gama, that looks challenging, but you have an aptitude for dexterity 👍
I would expect blow gun and rope dart to be present as well. But in terms of kusarigama it basically is a sort of rope dart. As for straight sword, I would also not believe in too much it is just holywood myth, not just because history is written by winners and destroyed by them, but also because chokuto swords actually have long history.
I love your channel man I speak English and a little bit of Polish and can you please add subtitles some of the people you have in your videos it’s hard to understand because they have a thick accent and English is their second language
Jason Switkes it’s dumb to think that a chain with weights is going to stop a sword in general. If that’s all you have just run cuz your gonna end up dead😂
Great video Adam, fun to learn about the different weapons and see them demonstrated. Couple things. Please don't misunderstand I loved the video but these are just my comments. I may be the only one of your viewers but i was unfamiliar with most of these weapons. I liked that you showed the names of the weapons on screen but wished they had been up through out the presentation of the weapon as Master Yaku? demonstrates there use. As long as you are doing the video it may have been nice if the actors/presenters were open to it to do a credits segment where you show the person and their names. I understand it the presenters do not want their names show but just a thought
Good point my friend, we had his name written in first episode and its also in description (Jakub Zeman) but we will put it again when its gonna be need it :) see you next time Bb

The caltrop's were also used to slow horses down during a pursuit.

Kusari-gama got my attention when I was a child, in a MTG card game with the same name. It Must be REAL difficult to master.

Wow! Adam this Documentary video very pro. I liked all weapons I loved the explanation of each one of them. Thanks for Sharing. Cheers.✌😀
Thank you my friend :)) glad you liked it
I like how the Master has the Hanwei Practical Ninjato. It's actually a great sword.
Wow! I find this seriously impressive! The functionality of these weapons is undeniable, as is the beauty and quality of their craftsmanship and their materials. Beautiful but deadly 🔥⚒️🙏👍
I would be very interested in an in-depth look at the different types and throwing techniques of the shuriken.

Real ninja equipment was samurai weapons and pyrotechnics/explosives and calatrops and kama and shuriken atleast in late Sengoku or Edo period, drills, saws, listening devices, infiltration tools of sorts
Apparently there is no historical evidence that they practiced unarmed combat however many ninja where samurai and surely ashigaru the reason perhaps why there may be no historical mention may be perhaps in relation to there function for example you infiltrate a heavily fortified area either as a spy or perhaps a commando if your captured your captured Where as the battlefield is more open and chaotic and on a larger scale and with samurai there documents rarely if ever talk about this as unarmed combat was the last of the last resorts but just like modern covert ops and special ops why wouldn't the shinobi learn hand to hand combat and again many of them had a samurai background that said since samurai had to fight armoured enemies they apparently knew how to break bones also samurai and shinobi didn't really learn jiujitsu but they all had there own independent systems from there clans and/or families taught by there parents and grandparents and uncles for example or perhaps someone who joined the warrior groups if say they where peasants or lower class for example like toyotami heiydeioshi the son of a wood cutter turned samurai general for oda nobunagas army
Also there may be a debate on them wearing face masks wich is logical perhaps in regards to someone needing to hurry and steal enemy plans or perhaps a cammando or someone who doubled as a spy and commando quickly did maybe say an in and out sabatoge mission as with hand to hand combat why wouldn't they as long as it fitted the circumstances obviously they wouldn't just wear masks in the day time because of the attention they would get
