- Meet Japan's most aspiring real Ninja, Mr. Yaen Sasuke. Sasuke has been training Nin-jutsu since he was three years old, and he has won the National Shuriken Throwing Competition two years in a row, in 2019 and 2020, for the first time in history.

I grew up watching Ninjas even in comics and fascinated by their agility, disappearance, and fighting skills. I love how Japan had preserved this kind of dark figure as a legend.
Well I was sad that we don‘t really know Ninja well because everyone says something different.. maybe they didn‘t wear black robes or clothes like Sasuke did.. even the guy from Nindo channel said that.. but you are right that makes it so mysterious
A ninja is just an assassin. Nothing special about them. You could consider navy seals 'ninjas' when they're sent in to assassinate people.
@@lilguyy72 no ninjas are not simply assassins. They have a culture and different weapons and origin. A ninja explained ninjas were made from peasants and their weapons were made from farm tools. You could look at the tool on scorpions chain and find out that's a farm tool as well.
@@othellobarker1291 ninjas didn't invent the kursrigama. It is a peasants weapon(a sickle for farm working...with a chain added origins) it is used in several martial arts. A ninja is simply a spy/assassin used by feudal lords of Japan. A samurai could be a ninja if he was used in such a way, which he'd consider beneath his rank. It was usually assigned to mercenaries because they're expendable. At some point they started training people in shinobi, specific warfare tactics, which is no different then say the green berets of today's US military. Being a ninja was not considered honorable at all. Because they didn't fight 'fair' and couldn't be trusted.

I not saying ninjas created the tool actually I'm partially am however you missed that I said ninjas were apparently farmers peasants originally. Anyone with any sense first off knows in this field one would have over 10,000 hours of training ,They've hit perfection much like a guitarist with 10,000 hour they glide over the strings. this guy is not practiced and it shows, He's a movie guy, a performer at best, that said your right who cares if i could do it , It doesn't matter i was simply making a point the guy isn't what he / they claim but he's a nice fill in to those who don't see attention to detail. now get back to your german studies.

The minimal time it takes to train in specific traditions of Ninjutsu is at least 20 years for the physical aspect of training and another 20 for the spiritual aspect of the Art. I know because I trained for 15 years, and I was nowhere near done. Keanu only learned what he needed to "look" the part of a good fighter. Keanu I give him credit for training because his screen characters called for it, BUT he is absolutely nowhere near deadly with his skills from The Matrix or John Wick.

I recall, the year was 1985. I started Ninjutsu training as a teen. Back then, the most prominent were the Koga and Togakure Ryu Ninjutsu. Stephen K Hayes, a student of the great Hatsumi, was one of the first teachers id known. I'm 54 now, but I've not trained for at least 15 years. My favorite weapon will always be the Ninja sword. I can at least say that I've not forgotten much of my skills with various weapons such as the Jutte, manriki kusari, Kusari gama, kama ,shuriken and such. Besides the difficult training it was so much fun, especially the nunchaku. I still get crazy with those today. 🙂
I wish you could teach me things like this .I've been shot ,stabbed and put into a coma .I have no real knowledge of fighting but have somehow survived the things I've been put through .To be disciplined and have a steady hand would be cool and beneficial in my life .I'm tired of the street gangs beating me up and picking on me .
@@raysaldana4376 the way gangs are, if you did learn some serious fighting skills, they would only retaliate. Gangs and gang members are weak willed and weak minded. They need strength in numbers to feel powerful. I was always a "lone warrior" so to speak, I found my true strength within myself and not depending on others to feel strong mentally or physically or in any other way. The Ninja mentality, the true ninja did not need a personal army, they were "lone fighters", not so called assassins but protectors of their people in ancient times. The Shogun of the time were ruthless and greedy so the people of the mountains needed a way to protect themselves, and so the way of the Ninja was born.
Protect yourself by gaining knowledge of mind before body.
Because the body follows the mind. A weak spirit makes a strong body with skillful and deadly abilities, useless.

Most of the things ninja do are self taught. It takes dedicated training though. You have to be patient about it. I went through a lot of training with sword techniques and nunchuck training as well. I also went through throwing knife training, or accuracy training if you want to call it that. I have been training since I was 7 years old in the art of stealth and still to this day I ain't done with my training and I'm 16, almost 17. Soon I'll have been training for 7 years.
Amazing love different forms of martial art. It's truly an art. They work so hard and focus to learn and perfect it. Such dedication
As a Wushu/Sanda/Muay-Thai practitioner since decades the techniques I ever used used in real street fight was the techniques i learnt from a couple of classes of Ninjutsu at the very beginning of my MA-career. Fast, effective and with no mess. Really splendid.
Jayzeus so you practice Chang quan or XinyiQuan? Guess Pentak Silat’s next. I noticed some gunshu in the bo work here. Is he an zigs practitioner? There’s a cool Ninja Hotel/Dojo near Kyoto in Iga
Strangely in most mma forums Ninjitsu as a combat art is rubbished due to no pressure testing.
While Sanda and Muay Thai are full combat styles which have real world fighting pedigree.

@@ZamWeazle Real Ninjutsu is like a combat form of Jiu-Jitsu. And it works quite well as such. But in order to squeeze the best out if it you should probably have some additional experience in kick-boxing. The same goes for Judo and Jiu-Jitsu. But I hold Ninjutsu in a pretty high esteem due to the fact that teach techniques that don´t fit into sport fighting.

This is what you see as the main component of criticism. Personally I'm just playing devils advocate as I don't know. But I hear it often on MA forums

For many years we thought Sho Kosugi was the last living ninja, then we learnt he had a son, then this guy. I'm sure there are at least a few more ninja out there in the world.

I absolutely LOVE Japanese history. I just took out 10k from my bank account to buy an authentic (ancient) Samauri Katana. I've looked at several from the Edo Period. These swords are not only weapons, but they are beautiful works of art.

Very cool. I went to the ninja show in Iga when I lived in Osaka. It was excellent - they showed a huge number of skills and there was a lot of humour in the show too. As I was the only big hairy gaijin in the audience, they picked me to come on stage and have a go with the dart blow gun. It was a great experience.

The real ninjutsu is derived from Chinese ninjutsu 忍術, also known as hermit 隐術 (At that time, it was called 五行遁術 in China).
Ninjutsu originated from the five elements (五行術) of the Han Dynasty in China and later spread to Japan 東瀛/倭.
"《五遁忍术》Five Eun Ninjutsu" originated from China
The fascinating five-element escape technique is derived from ancient Chinese military books, similar to the scenes often seen in movies that suddenly disappear in the smoke
Like karate, judo, Shaolin Temple boxing and other martial arts, ninjutsu is a characteristic martial art gradually developed after it was introduced to Japan from ancient Chinese martial arts.
The authoritative ninjutsu book "《萬川集海》Wan Chuan Ji Hai" points out:
The root of ninjutsu thought comes from Jiang Taigong Lu Wang during the Yin and Zhou Dynasties of China. It was he who first proposed the concept of ninjutsu and wrote it in the masterpiece "《六韬》Six Secret Teachings".
Later, the Chinese Sun Wu, Zhang Liang, and Han Xin successively improved the theory of ninjutsu. Especially Sun Wu's "《孫子兵法》The Art of War" is highly respected by the ninja class. At this time, ninjutsu basically formed a rudiment consisting of strategy, formation, yin and yang, and technique. As ninjutsu spread to Japan, ninjas also appeared and developed in Japan.
* Ancient ninja organization Iga伊賀 and Kahe甲賀. Most of them were Chinese immigrants who settled in ancient Japan. These contents also recorded in Chinese history.
I wonder if Ninjas existed in Okinawa as well? Karate has Kung Fu roots because Okinawa had a strong relationship with China.
@@stoopidhaters 1429 ~ 1879. The name of the ancient Okinawa was "Ryukyu琉球" (the name set by the Chinese emperor. It is also the name of the historical record). It is one of the territories of the Chinese regime.
In ancient Ryukyu King琉球國王 , officials and nobles were Han people and descendants from Fujian 福建, China (elite sent by the Chinese emperor). They lived in the local Chinese palace. Chinese culture and Chinese characters naturally appeared in the local area.
1609. The Chinese palace of "Ryukyu琉球" was occupied by the "indigenous people". China lost local actual sovereignty. After officially merged Japan日本 in 1879, "Ryukyu琉球" was renamed Okinawa沖繩.

The elites of ancient Japan were "渡來人 / 歸化人". Japanese historians also agreed.

服部半藏Hattori Hanzo (服部正成 Hattori Masaei) (1542～1596) (a famous ninja in Japan).
his surname is Qin, and his ancestral home is Fujian, China. In Japanese history, Hattori Hanzo is a person who cannot fail to mention.
The modern American ninja Steve Hayes proposed in " 《伊贺的阴影》Shadow of Iga" that after the decline of the Tang Dynasty, a large number of wandering monks, military commanders, and literati flew to Japan and became the backbone of Japanese society. They also brought Datang's advanced science and technology, culture and art, and various martial arts to Japan. The cornerstone of ninjutsu was laid by these people.
As for ninjutsu, it’s not as magical as in novels and TV series.
In Japan's first Yin Yang division, ninja and monks are also ancient Chinese. The names of "ancient Japan東瀛 & 倭" and "ancient Korea 朝鮮" in history were named after the Chinese emperor.

The term "foot bag 「足袋」" of Tabi Shoes comes from ancient Chinese socks, which actually originated in China at the earliest! In the Tang Dynasty, it was called " ㄚ head socks 「ㄚ頭襪」 ", and then spread to Japan to describe socks/shoes that separate the thumb from the other four fingers.

More than 2000 years ago, a large number of Chinese elites and technical personnel sent by Emperor Qin. They moved to ancient Japan (including the ancient Korean Peninsula and ancient North Vietnam). There were also some Chinese nobles and officials who fled to ancient Japan because of the war ...
For example:
Emperor Qin's son. Yang Guifei of the Tang Dynasty. Of course they are not alone. Instead, they arrived in ancient Japan by a team.
These Chinese elites moved to Japan. They are responsible for developing a very primitive place in ancient Japan (backward and lack of resources). Establish a local local regime in the local area. The Chinese emperor named ancient Japan as "東瀛 dong ying & 扶蘇 fusu & 倭wo". As one of the regions of China's power jurisdiction. It is closely related to the Chinese royal family and the official.
For example: 卑彌呼 Himiko. She is the adoptive daughter of the Chinese emperor. She is a Chinese female official position. On behalf of the Chinese emperor, she is responsible for governing Japan. All funds are supported by the Chinese royal family. She knows Chinese Taoist ghosts and magic spells and divination. She is fluent in Chinese language (official language and Han dialect) and Chinese characters......
During the Tang Dynasty, Chinese national strength was more powerful. The navigation technology was stronger. The Chinese emperor sent a fleet to Japan. Some Chinese people followed the fleet and returned to China (there may be a small number of japan's indigenous slaves followed). This is almost 70 years apart. They asked the Tang Emperor to send more Chinese elite teams, high -tech personnel and a large number of Chinese products to go to Japan 倭. This is the " Tang ambassador 遣唐使 "recorded in history. They are ancient Chinese . After that, a large number of Chinese officials, nobles and elites also appeared on ancient Japan 倭 (Today Japan still has many ancient Chinese tombs and unearthed cultural relics ).
Ancient Chinese architects built a Chinese palace in ancient Japan 倭. Exercise China's official governance system. Representing this place (ancient Japan) was occupied by the Chinese.
The Chinese and a large number of Chinese culture naturally appeared in ancient Japan 倭. anicant Japan 倭 in this period. Chinese culture is an explosive growth.
Including : Dragon Totem (representing Chinese imperial power), Chinese characters, Chinese scholars (recorded local history), Chinese architect (Chinese palace), Chinese physician, Chinese monk, Chinese martial artist, Chinese artist (music, painting, calligraphy, chess art, tea culture..........), Chinese growers, various technical personnel in China (cloth, iron, weapons ...), Chinese officers, Chinese coins, a large number of Chinese products and Chinese history books ....... all appeared in ancient Japan.
These are used to use it to the local Chinese nobles and Chinese. They call Japan at that time "China 中國" and "Shenzhou 神州" (the Han people's named beauty to China). They have always been proud of the Chinese identity and the Han family.
At that time in ancient Japan 倭. In addition to the Chinese regime, there are more than 100 indigenous tribes (including Japanese ancestors today). They often attack local Chinese. These contents are recorded in history.
In the 13th century in Japan.
Some of these indigenous people (speaking Japanese language. Hairstyle is bald in the top of the head) occupied the Chinese palace. Killing some senior Chinese officials. Control all Chinese technicians. Forcing them to join the "Japanese 日本人".

Having been educated in mankind's world, I also studied leadership and character building. This gentleman is clearly a student of both. It is obvious in how he is quite approachable and kind, while his listening audience clearly knows his skills are both lethal and definite; the hallmarks of a complete master and statesman.
I tried learning off observation when I was younger and Frank dux gave the basics of the training I did everyday after school walk one foot in front of the other the whole way up the hills n down them. Technics are hardest to learn off observation yet talk to a master and innerstand what he or she is saying will stick with you better than emulation.

8:46, That's quite the claim when people such as Masaaki Hatsumi and Toshishiro Obata still live and train in their own Ryu (although Hatsumi I believe recently retired from training full time as he is now 89).
exactly , lol. There are thousands of people studying and practising Ninjutsu. Togakure Ryu has been around, unbroken, for over a thousand years. The Hat man is retired for awhile now but has been succeeded by Tsutsui Takumi who is the 35th Soke or Grandmaster. Guess he and the entire Bujinkan don't count :D
Hatsumi inherited the 9 ryuha from Takamatsu, but in the beginning, Hatsumi taught Togakure Ryu along with bits from the other 8 lesser known schools. His dojo was called Bujinkan then, not the system. In the 70's he named it Bujinkan Ninpo Taijutsu. From then until sometime in the 80's he taught more the ninjutsu aspect of the schools. Then that's when the system changed to Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu - which has no longer focused on the ninjutsu aspect of the ryuha as much. The reason why it's associated with ninjutsu is because if it's beginning under Hatsumi, and, because the succession of soke being ninja who took ownership of samurai schools. It's not so much that the schools are 'ninjutsu' - it's that they were some the schools available during the periods of Japan when ninja were used and were active. If you are training Bujinkan today, you are not doing ninjutsu, you are doing essentially a sampler platter of some of the Koryu bujutsu arts.

These guys were basically SAS/Commando/Special Forces/SEALS of the day. They trained in a range of hand to hand combat and armed combat, ranged weapons, reconnaissance, concealment and survival. Exactly the same as modern spec operators.

I was going to say 'oh boy here is another so called ninja', but I am extremely shocked and thankful to have watched this. This guy right here is the real deal! and he knows what he is teaching and talking about. You can tell he has trained years to master his art. There is so much bullshit in todays world surrounding martial arts. Almost every time you see people being called 'martial arts experts' or 'ninjas' it is just some person with a blackbelt or mma training doing a bunch of gymnastics. A true ninja, or a martial arts expert for that matter is not a person doing a bunch of flips and fancy spinning kicks.
How come people with 0 ninja experience are claiming this guy is real lol. Keanu Reeves is so famous it's easy too look up every bit of training he has had through his entire career. This video is fake for the views lol.

Had a Very Deep Interest in Ninja when i was young in the 90's before anime became as Popular in the United States as it is Today .I was introduced to the Concept of ninja from a Movie i cant not Remember the title of how ever i do remember a man in Yoroi being chased by bad guys and he moved with the agility of a monkey swinging from tree to tree then Disappeared in the dirt to evade . I fell in love with Ninja so much So i Was in Karate and Gymnastics together but when my parents mainly my Mother learned of my interest it was shot down she said Ninja's only purpose was to Kill. I tried to Educate her but when Your a 7 year old Boy not much you say has any clout. I feel as if it carries a Stain on my soul for not Defying my Mother and Pursuing my Interest Because as we Know the art Teaches alot more then just Being a Stealthy killer it teaches the Opposite to preserve life and teaches how to Survive in a very Harsh world. I will always have a part of me That wants to get back into learning the Arts sadly the Responsibility of being an adult Out weighs that Option for me maybe in another life time. *Edit* Maybe that was way to much of myself i just spilled out on the Internet Lmao

As you implied, Ninjas only killed when that’s absolutely necessary, and Ninjutsu is more of a means to survive and gather information than to kill. But I must say even many people in Japan have somewhat wrong images/understanding of Ninjas today, and I’m also learning new things as I talk to these people 😌 - Yasu
Yes you should have defied your mother and trained anyway but it's never too late. And true there is more to it then killing it is also about life. But the true art does teach you how to kill. And because of that there is a strict moral code so the skills won't be misused I should add. Usually reserved for warfare and for people who serve their country in some fashion. Or for survival and a person is forced to kill in order to stay alive.
