As a suggestion a PID anyone should monitor, especially if you're working the truck at all, is trans fluid temperature. Or get yourself a dedicated gauge to go in a pod.
The 6.0 or even the gasser 27-row coolers are the best available, dropped my fluid temps from a max of 242 in hard pulling down to 186. Can't get it to go above that no matter how much I'm lugging it. My temp sensor is also screwed into a stand-alone external filter running from the hot-side trans cooler line so I'm seeing the temp straight from the converter.
More of this type of content, makes for good stuff to think about 👍 truck sounding wonderful while you guys are just cruising around!

As far as PIDs, I like ICP, boost and EBP, trans temp, gear and TCC lock, oil temp, and add an EGT to the monitor or stand alone.

Good to know I’m on the right track for a basic modified 7.3, got the trans built when it went out a week after purchase. Ordered my exhaust 2 hrs ago. And looking into what’s the best cold air intake for me then a hydra tuner. Then onto the body where it’s a tad rusty, painting it cactus grey with black accents then wheels and tint!

Hi Don here from Ontario Canada. I have a 1999 F250 7.3 with 265000km on it. The truck has never seen winter salt I take it off the road in the fall and back on the road in the spring. I installed electric fans, modified exhaust,Bullydog, Banks intake, trans rebuild, Billit torque converter, shift kit. Bigger turbo from a 2003 I can't remember the size and truck is put away for the winter. I want to change injectors I pull a 15000lb RV in the summer so I been trying to get a much info as I can on which injectors to get. I love you program I have learned alot from you guys, enjoy ever video. Take care be safe keep up the great work.

Look up 1023 diesel on RUclips, but I would say 180/30s or 160/stocks(AC Injectors), a stage 1 or 2 turbo from KC, a Riffraff frx, HPop cross over, possibly a new hpop like a cncfab stage 1 and some jelibuilt or 1023 tuning. Also you’ll need a hydra tuner.

@@donandwendylaprise8267 honestly I'd get a hold of KC Turbos or Jelibuilt and ask them. Depending on your actual expectations, I'd recommend an AC code (160/0) or a hybrid with a 30% nozzle. You can go larger but it won't be as care free, more gauge watching with 15k on the hook. I'd steer clear of 180/30 or 180/80 as they are oil hungry. Biggest thing is match your set up, turbo and injectors... Good luck!

@@lennydodson4223 verify your glow plug relay is working, then verify your glow plugs are good. If these things check out, most likely you are looking at worn injectors. Does plugging the block heater in for a couple hours allow the truck to start?

I’m replacing the lift/fuel pump on mine right now. Take your fuel filter out and crank to see if you get fuel to the bowl if not could be your lift\fuel pump

PCM only needs oil temp. Think about the wonderful world of HEUI. What does it run on? Oil. Does oil flow change with temperature? You bet your ass it does.
Your oil temp will always be hotter than coolant once up to temp. Nobody really cares what the coolant temp is either because if oil temp is good, no damage is happening.
Coolant temp is good for knowing if the t-stat is working...
