  • We show you round Tayview Caravan Park in Monifieth, Angus, Scotland. We stayed here with our 2 rescue chihuahuas in our Roller Team Auto-Roller 707 motorhome in March 2024.
We only stayed one night but our experience was positive.
Some things to bear in mind:
    - There's a 3.2m height restriction on the way in (with no alternative route) so be aware if you have a particularly tall unit or something on top of it.
    - There's a railway line immediately behind the campsite. It's quite busy but we found the trains to be pretty quiet and not an intrusive noise.
    - There is a firing range along the coast so you can hear the noise of this. It's very subtle so again not intrusive, but worth being aware of if you have a sensitivity to that sort of noise.
    - The latest arrival time is quite early (2pm when we stayed) and did differ from what our confirmation email said.
    Great things about the site:
    - Really friendly welcome - the lady did try to move us to a seafront pitch but wasn't able to find one (we didn't ask for this, she just took the initiative).
    - Facilities were modern, warm and clean. There was an issue with hot water first thing on the morning we were there, but it appeared to have been fixed a couple of hours later.
    - Excellent location adjacent to the coastal path, with easy access to the beach and a short walk to town.
    - There is a cafe on site, although we didn't try it - it looked good though, and a coffee wagon just a bit further along in the beach car park.
