What a great Friday experience this was for me. Totally different experience. You captured it all. ToolScouter found me after you told him to look for the red 🎒. 😂👍
I had fun walking around with you and RoadKing! I'm glad ToolScouter found you!
I didn't see either of you guys out there this time, but I sure as heck saw that yellow car John has so I knew he was in there, somewhere!
Great footage Magdad! And the craftsmanship of that stuff you're buddy gave you for the action, absolutely amazing!
Dave did an outstanding job!
Great screwdrivers! That plane blade screwdriver is BRILLIANT! What a beauty! I was telling John, we just don’t have those tool shows over here! We have a big flea market coming up end of July that I may go to but prices are through the roof, usually! Great show!
Jacktown always has good deals! Dave did an amazing job on that plane screwdriver!
that wizard was the best 😁until I seen Mr. Dave's tools 😳 wow...he does outstanding work... glad the shirt came thru for ya again.. and Thank ya! 👍
Dave does amazing work! I knew you would like the Lobster Claw pliers! 😉
Fantastic video, those old engines are just fun to watch. I would have a hard time carrying all that back to the car 😂
Thanks Michael! Jacktown is always a blast!
The lucky shirt really did work. Lots of nice finds. Walking back in time. It's like an outdoor museum except you can touch and buy. Jacktown is a serious Flea Market. Great video! 👍🏻🛠
You gotta believe! There were a lot of exhibits that I didn't get to film. I'll try to do better in the fall!
@@357magdad Yeah ya do! You did a nice job but I wouldn't complain about more!😄😄
Very nice always fun seeing all the old tools! And all the antique engine's! Great finds and the lucky Tshirt held the weather off! Have a wonderful weekend 👍
Thanks Mike! Jacktown is always fun!
Great finds.
Those 'auto' wrenches were all about brand loyalty...today, none of the manufacturers want you to even change a light bulb without going to a dealership.
Cars are way to complicated to work on now!
Pretty sweet tool haul and I gotta get to Jacktown one of these days... looks like a lot of awesome treasure hunting. Loved the last video too, the blue/brass combo is definitely handsome tool mix :-).
Thanks! Jacktown is always fun!
Omg. When I seen that car the memories came rushing back. My father had the same car aftershave bottle in the 70’s. I remember playing with it as a kid. Never knew it was Avon product. I do remember the Avon lady coming to our door often and visiting my mom so I assume she must have bought it some point. Charlie Chips used to deliver chips and pretzels to us back then also. And the tv repairman with his wooden tool box of vacuum tubes that he’d replace when they’d often burn out. 😂 Flash from the past. 😂
I'm glad it brought back some good memories for you!
Quite the Hog Oiler Collection. 🐷🐖🥓🥓🥓
I like the way he painted them up!
Another super video, nice scores Magdad. P.S. Dave does some fine work, good stuff Dave
Thanks! Dave's projects turned out amazing!
Some good tools for your collection there. Hope you do a few videos of cleaning them up. I love all those Stationary Engines, still working away after 100 or so years - magic. Thanks for sharing your day out with us. Take care 🙂
Thanks Michael! I think the honey dipper screwdrivers will be a good project.
Great haul, as usual. Thanks for the shot of RK too!
It was fun walking around with RoadKing and ScoutCrafter!
Great footage Magdad, there were two boxes of adjustables at 7.50 I think, I would have bought the whole lot!! Wish we had shows like that in the UK 👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇬🇧✌️
There's always so much good stuff at Jacktown!
nice show and haul
You would love Jacktown John!
Thanks for the tour MagDad and I don't know why but I love the little bottle 🛠👍😊
I think it's cool too! I've also got an Avon VW bug and a monkey wrench.
Nice haul.
Glad the T shirt kept the storms away - at least until overnight. Lots of boomers and rain in my eastern PA area.
Happy you like the auction projects.
I also did not see Perfect Handled screwdrivers this time.
I tried to be selective. I purchased a 3/4in capacity drill chuck for my wood lathe and what I thought was a Stanley-Bailey 9 1/2 block plane. When I got home I found it was a S-B #15 block plane. Same width, same blade but 1in longer. Sadly the post for the adjustable throat is broken off. The #15 is not so common. The adjustable throat plate from a 9 1/2 is too short.
The plane has the part but I am not sure if JB Weld will have sufficient strength or whether I should try and braze it back on. I have not brazed before. I am also pondering if I should just make a new throat from steel. This means making a new brass screw since the present screw is 7/32in x 20 tpi Whitworth thread. I do not have this tap, very unusual these days.
Dave.
I'm glad the rain held off! Stanley used weird screw sizes for their planes.
You found a lot of neat items Magdad! This was great, thanks for sharing this.
Thanks John! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Great video. Great finds. Great price. Thank you. Jealous.
I always find cool stuff at Jacktown!
I wish my local flea markets looked like that. Very cool and thanks for sharing!
Jacktown has something for everyone!
Glad that the lucky T paid off again and the main held off for you, looks like a great show !
Good haul, looking forward to seeing what you do with the screwdrivers !
Liked the look of those Kraeuter combination wrenches !
Thanks! I'm gonna have to wear that t-shirt to every show!
Love the video. Great to see you at the show. Keep the videos coming. Have a great week.
Thanks! I hope you had fun at Jacktown!
It looked like a good time and you found some good projects 😃. Thank You for sharing! This is the only way some of us get to attend these shows.
Thanks Jack! I'll make sure to take more footage of the engine displays in the fall!
Great video Mate!! I wish you left us your lucky T-Shirt, I thought ScoutCrafter was gonna Drowned that night!! We got 5" of rain in 90 minutes!!☻
Sorry to hear it rained so bad! I was great seeing you guys!
What a nice assortment of tools and gadgets.. love those old vintage fans.. And that old vintage Singer sewing machine.. my grandmother had one like that except hers wasn't as ornate as the one at the show.. M.D. thx for bringing us along... I'll have to watch S.C.'s video to see what he recorded.. Thx again M.D... take care...
Thanks Gary! Mrs Magdad has a 1906 Singer that still runs great!
@@357magdad my grandmother's had an attachment for doing button holes, and also the original owners manual.. I remember seeing her spend many hours sewing on her machine... thx again M.D.
Guess I should have worn a lucky shirt… took a half days vacation Friday from work and rolled in around 2:30, the sun was brutal in the flea mkt area and l think it caused a lot of vendors to pack it in for the day
I picked up a nice set of Utica “gas burner pliers” and some additional yard art (which you showed at the 4:40 mark) but that was it, on my second trip around almost all the tables were covered for the day
I did manage to bump into Tool Scouter this trip and say hello, l guess my quest for a perfect handle continues
as they say experience is the best teacher, great job on the video
That vendor's welded scrap sculpture are cool! I bought a horse shoe crab from him one year.
@@357magdad yep very cool I have a few of their pieces, nice couple too
Looks like a great show, glad the weather held out for you guys. Always wanted to turn a perfect handle screwdriver into a bit holder like that. Excellent work Dave.
Dave did an outstanding job!
After watching the videos from 357magdad, ScoutCrafter, and RoadKing, I feel that I was almost there at Jacktown without getting soaked. Thanks.
That rain they had Friday evening was something else! Make sure you check out Bob's video of Saturday's show:
ruclips.net/video/7YP5Ti3x6FI/видео.html
Jacktown looks amazing. I hope I get to make it out there one day. You got some nice scores also. Thanks for sharing the trip!
Engine shows are always fun! Check online to see if there is one close to you. We visited Kent Connecticut for the CAMA show and it was great!
Your intro sounded just like our summer guestimated weather report Mag🇬🇧😮👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎
We had a really dry spring and a really wet summer so far.
The cross eyed snowman you passed by was actually cute🙂
I tried to get ScoutCrafter to buy it...
@@357magdad he does love him some blow mold figures 🤣
I went on Saturday. It was humid and sticky. Plus the grounds were very muddy from Friday nights storms. Good finds though. Great video!
I hope you found some gems on Saturday!
Wow looked like some really cool stuff there. You made out with some good finds. Hopefully I can get to the fall show.
The fall show is my favorite!
Ding Dong Avon calling Cool find on the glass Avon car Avon started the glass car bottles in 1968 and ran Throughout the 1970s i would just give it a bath and display it .. The Nash wrench was great to see I seen a few here and there nice little tool haul for $ 25.00 bucks .... Take care and enjoy your Sunday and what surprise is for next Sunday Video ????
The Avon car cleaned up nice! I have an Avon VW Bug and a wrench. Next week we're gonna do a little fishing!
Young man, if eye candy was fattening I would have gained 500 lbs before I would have left the grounds, what a show that must have been. I think you made some good tool finds, thanks for the tag along video.
There is always so much good stuff to see at Jacktown!
What a great variety of really cool stuff. Wonderful tools, and those stationary gas engines are fun to watch. I know I would have really enjoyed this show. I hope all those engines on the trailer find good homes. The wooden dragster would be great for Chuck. After all, he's been such a faithful shop helper. Your finds are great, and I think you did well for $25.
Jacktown is always a blast! Chuck was glad I didn't bring home another rubber chicken!
My Granddaddy had a small collection of those Avon bottles, one of which was just like the one shown.
I guess I'm collecting them now too! I've got a VW bug, a wrench and now a Sterling Six!
Hey, greetings from northern germany. I've got the same Ford wrench from 15:39 here, from my grandfathers toolbox, no idea how he came to it, but I gave it a good once-over with a steel brush and a bit of oil, now it's in my tool box, in the "imperial compartment" - never wrong to have one :)
Those Ford wrenches came with the model T, model A and also the farm tractors. It's a piece of history that still works!
Great score.
Thanks John!
I'm glad I collect smaller items! I'd be in really hot water if I started to bring motors home! Heck, I have more mellophones than most museums! Bigger than a screw driver, smaller than a hit and miss! Great video and great haul!
You should check out the stuff Mike (SmallEngineMechanic) brings home!
ruclips.net/video/UVoeRVINrMo/видео.html
Outstanding show. You certainly couldn’t complain about lack of variety at the show. It had a bit of everything.
Jacktown has something for everybody!
Glad you had great time at jacktown that's some cool stuff I can't wait to bid on
Thanks Larry! Dave did an amazing job!
You found some awesome screwdrivers, looking forward to their restoration. Like that Wizard pliers, also. Those Ford wrenches will clean up nicely.
Thanks Larry!
Great finds! Love the screwdrivers with “honey dipper” handles. I was actually given that particular bottle of Avon cologne , years ago…fun video!
Thanks John! I'm looking forward to working on those screwdrivers!
Hi Magdad , You Got Some Interesting Stuff There. My Grandmother Gave Me One Of Those Avon Cars For My Birthday When I Was Around 13 or 14 Years Old. So I New What It Was Immediately.
It is a cool car! I have an Avon VW bug too.
Wizard was Montgomery wards tool line
Wizard was a brand sold by Western Auto. Montgomery Ward's brand was Powr -Kraft.
I got an incredible 1 dollar screwdriver that I knew you would have bought if you saw it first. Still working on it, but it looks like a Hurwood with the through tang striker.
Sounds like a fun project! I'd love to see some photos! 357mdad@gmail.com
I need a lucky Tshirt. Many Sunday flea markets in New Hampshire have been rained out.
It's been a rainy weekend here. I'm glad my t-shirt worked Friday morning!
Wow! Much of the 1st showings looked like the junk I find around here. Then you got into cool junk. Pretty cool, MagDad! Nice stuff is getting hard to find where I am. No more Yankees or decent bench planes to be seen anymore. Not even junkie ones!
Jacktown's flea market has something for everyone!
Cool video and take homes!
Thanks Bob!
Sorry couldn't make up there. Nice tool haul.
It was fun! I hope we have better weather for the fall show!
Great stuff I wasn’t able to make it but hope to be there in the Fall 👍
The weather was definitely iffy! See you in the fall!
Dang! Wish I'd been there.
You would have loved the show!
Good finds and glad the weather held off for you. Man, please tell me you didn't leave those Kraeuter wrenches there!! I wish I could have gone but had to work.
You're gonna have to make sure you get to the fall show - Oct 21 and 22!
Nice projects looking forward to their video, especially the little Hurwood. I just did one and im curious how you would do it.
You did a nice job on your Sweetheart Hurwood Dale!
I have an Avon viking ship bottle here.
I hope you and the Magfamily didn't get hit hard with the flooding....
We're OK thanks. The novelty Avon bottles are pretty cool!
When I saw all the little oil cans I thought for sure you would be taking one or two home, but no! 😢
I have a few of those. I do keep an eye out for the really small ones marker Singer.
Funny, I have that same shirt. Really enjoy your videos - the insight, ideas, and products/methods you use to restore are so helpful. What camera do you use to shoot your videos?
I'm glad you like the videos! I hope the shirt is a lucky for you as mine is! I use a Canon PowerShot Elph 360HS.
Wizard was western auto store brand
Yep
Pretty sure a Stanley designer from long ago just rolled in his grave from the “suction cup-octopus holes” comment lol.
🐙
Yeah I like your glass car that look really nice And your friends youtube Channel I am subscribed to him If I ain't mistaken His name is road kill I like his channel a lot And yeah you made out really good with all the stuff you got Especially all those screwdrivers Thank you for the video
805RoadKing and ScoutCrafter are two great guys!
TOOL OVERLOAD!
There was lots to see!
How much do Ford auto wrench’s go for?
The go for $10-15 on eBay. If I see them for less than $5, I buy them.
When is the fall show? If you know
Fall show is October 21-22
October 21 and 22. Check out jacktown.org They are also on Facebook.
I have to find better flea markets!
Keep an eye out for antique gas and steam engine shows in you area. They have the best old tool flea markets, plus the shows are fun to attend.
