The drill was my favorite. It's nice to see tools that are modified to use in a different way. Those spring clamps can be a challenge especially when they hard to reach. Nice score! Great video!!
That is the coolest hand drill in existence!!! You'll never get what it's worth like the historian you purchased that from, but thank you for saving & sharing that historical engineering masterpiece with humanity!
I like the spring clamp pliers. I prefer hose clamps but everything has the spring clamps, so I have to use what is used now. I bought two of the file handles and they work great! The next step is to clean all the files and this winter project is sewing roll ups made for files. The work never ends with carving tools, chisels and Allen wrenches that all need cleanup new storage.
@@357magdad Thanks, I have that going on now. It looks like mud. I think I will do the final cleaning in an ultrasonic cleaner! Thanks for all the tips!
That's some good research on those hose clamp pliers. Regular pliers don't work as well on spring clamps as the dedicated pair you have. The small Mossberg wrench is cool, but the two-speed NB drill is really unique and probably rare. It never occurred to me that such a two-speed tool existed. All that said, my favorite is the Craftsman file handle. It would really be useful to me. You have a good knack for finding cool stuff. I enjoy the mid-week videos.
Nice finds Magdad! I liked the bicycle wrenches but the Yankee drill is awesome! I can’t wait to see what you do to it! Thank You for sharing your finds.
Good stuff! The stick shift drill is pretty darn cool. Can wait to see it cleaned up and running so smooth. Did not expect the handle to come off like that!
I like the two-speed drill. Reminder not to exceed the maximum limit of speed during your projects! 😆 The spring clamp is cool. I like the bullet pencil. I have yet not been able to locate one of those in my travels. Cool stuff! 😄👍
Great finds Mr Magdad The 2 items i like the most was the Built Pencil and the Yankee 445 hand drill never seen one with a 2 speed gear shift lever you could do a 2 part restoration video on the hand drill ... Take care and enjoy your day
Thanks Magdad, you sure struck gold at the Golden Nugget, an interesting bunch of tools, I really like the design of those file handles, but the drill is outstanding what a sophisticated mechanism to streamline it's use, gotta love a Champion screwdriver too ! Glad you got an answer to those modified pliers use !
Very nice Magdad. The drill is my favorite. I sort of collect these drills by North Bros, it’s just this one’s bigger brothers in my collection thusfar.
Great video. The drill for 5 bucks is a bargain, and I'm looking forward to seeing the restoration. I'm hoping to run across one of the file handles someday. Thanks for sharing Magdad
Like our buddy ScoutCrafter, I've tried to minimize my tool acquisitions and vowed not to buy another hand drill. That was before I saw your 445 and now I will be on the lookout. I especially like that it appears to have a chuck that accepts brace bits, amazing. Thanks for the videos.
@@357magdad crazy cheap!! To me all those tools are worth so much more! The crap they sell now isn't even close to the quality of those. I recently bought a new gat plinker... made in 1929 by colt .it is so smooth still tight as hell! The rifling shows 0 wear ! As accurate as the day it was made almost 100 years ago!
Years ago there used to be two flea markets where the Golden Nugget is. There was the nugget and right next door was a totally separate flea market operation. Then the nugget bought them out. But for years they operated side by side. Kinda weird. It was more involved than it is now. More dealers. It was two markets. Although people would park at either one and walk both of them. I think the parking was actually better at the nugget? The nugget was always the bigger and more professional operation. The other market there was just tables there and that was it. The nugget had them buildings.
The North Bros Yankee drill is my favorite. You were fortunate to stumble onto one with both handles in place. But all the finds are great. When is your Museum of Hand Tools opening to the public? 😆
That was a great day. But the drill is by far the coolest drill I’ve ever seen. I love that mechanical gear change. And the Biden screwdriver pushes it over the top.
The drill was my favorite. It's nice to see tools that are modified to use in a different way. Those spring clamps can be a challenge especially when they hard to reach. Nice score! Great video!!
I'm glad the viewers were able to help solve the mystery!

That Yankee 445 is awesome! And so are the hose clamp pliers!
Thanks! The viewers helped me solve the mystery!
Excellent scores at the Golden Nugget! 😃👍
It's fun hunting for gems at the Nugget!
Very nice catches. You'll have a lot of fun with that haul.
I'm excited to work on them Bill!
Love that drill, a cleanup is in order! Great video!
I'm looking forward to it too John!
Nice cache, good hunting, look forward to seeing some resto videos on them, thanks for the video, enjoyed watching.
Thanks Terry! This Sunday's video will feature an item from the July Jacktown show - stay tuned!
Great finds Magdad! Those drills are awesome.
Thanks Ivan! I'm not a big fan of egg beater style drills, but I do like the stick shift!

I've had some luck "sharpening" old files by soaking them in vinegar for a few days.
@@357magdad Thanks, I have that going on now. It looks like mud. I think I will do the final cleaning in an ultrasonic cleaner! Thanks for all the tips!
You got some great tools and FANTASTIC deals! Those will be a lot of fun to work on. Thanks so much for sharing and have a great day.

Thanks! I found another Champion screwdriver at the Nugget this morning!
Nice picking. Especially the North Brothers drill.
Thanks John! I got that from my favorite Nugget tool vendor. He always has good stuff!
Great finds. I like that "Hammershark" plier.
Thanks!🦈
Good to see the mystery pliers now being hose clamp pliers.
I love that Yankee egg beater drill. Very intricate design for its time.
Nice haul.
Dave.
Thanks Dave! North Brothers also made a ratcheting 2 speed drill!
I'm a sucker for the vintage Craftsman tools, so the file handle was my favorite. 👍
I like the design of that file and tool handle. I keep an eye out for them at the sales.
That drill was my favorite just because of the on board drill bit storage and the little hidden screwdriver
It is pretty deluxe!
The stick shift drill is very cool! Great score for $5.
I was pretty excited to find it on the $5 table!

Thanks Pat! General Tool still makes those file and tool handles (plastic instead of wood).
Great finds Magdad! Very informative. Love the North Brothers hand drill and the hose clamp pliers. The last was a new one for me. 😊👍
My viewers came through on the mystery tool!

I like those two speed hand drills and that Billings bicycle wrench.
Thanks Larry!
I may have a couple Champions, I'll check. I like the drill and the Mossberg and Billings wrench. Good haul.
Thanks Dale! I'm sure I got some goodies to trade with you!

Hi Magdad, The drill Was My Favorite. But Some Good Finds And Prices Too .
Thanks Wayne! I found another Champion screwdriver at the Nugget this morning!
That's one of the neatest drills I have ever seen. I was wondering about those pliers - mystery solved. Good stuff!
Thanks Bill! I'm looking forward to cleaning it up!
North bros drill gets my vote for " find of the year" Mag!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎😎
Thanks Alan! I was excited to find it!
they're all my favorite you got some good finds.
Thanks David! It's fun hunting for gems at the Nugget!
I like it when you pick up pocket knives and redo them
Pocket knives are fun to clean up. I've got one I'd like to get to soon...
Very nice Magdad. The drill is my favorite. I sort of collect these drills by North Bros, it’s just this one’s bigger brothers in my collection thusfar.

Thanks Michael! I left an Amazon link for the file handles in the description. They are plastic instead of wood now.
The drill was a great find at any price. At $5 it was a steal! I expect a nice restoration video of it in the future!
I'm looking forward to cleaning it up.
Great finds!
Thanks!

The North Brothers catalog claimed that it would wood with round and square shank bits.
That drill is crazy cool! I've never seen anything like it. I will wait for Chuck's opinion before I decide.
Chuck is gonna be mad - I don't think we'll get to Flitz it!
I like all of it ! But the north brothers drill is my favorite... sweet!

Thanks Joe! Uwannawatch is a good channel!
Nice finds Mr Magdad. I would be in the poor house if I worked that close to a second hand market.
I try to restrain myself!

It looks like there is some new construction going on on the property. Maybe a restaurant?
@@357magdad I'd like to make it back up there someday just for old times sake. I live pretty far from there now though.
Hope we may someday see the drills on the restoration bench!
I hope so too!
Nice finds. That Billings is pretty nifty.
Thanks! I usually see them for too much money.
I have all those tools in my basement. They came from my grandparents farm, my grandfather was in WW1.
You're lucky to still have your grandfathers tools!
Like both those drills, I reckon James Bond would have the second one in his shed somewhere.
Thanks! The shift lever is very cool!
Hey Magdad, Hard to choose on this haul. But, I really do like thee NB 445 drill. Lot of features on this one. ❤😊
Thanks Carl! It is a deluxe drill!
I really like the 2 speed drill. That quite a find Magdad! 👏👍🇺🇸 #chuck2024
Me too Roger! Chuck will be making an appearance this Sunday!
@357magdad I can't wait to see what Chucks up to!! I hope he is polishing the Yankee drill. 🙏

I got it from my favorite Nugget tool vendor. He always has good stuff!
I like the drill. The screwdriver is a close second.
Thanks Robert!
My favorite is that early version of a "cordless drill".......
It's got a stick shift!
Nice video.
Thanks! Flea markets are fun!
Cool Drills.
That stick shift is deluxe!

Man they thought of everything on the drill didnt they! Im torn between the clever drill and the Bicycle wrenches .
North Brothers also made a 2 speed ratcheting version!
Oh nice you went to the golden nugget me and my wife go there also
I've got another tool haul coming up with more items from the Nugget and the Neshanic Station Flea market.
That last drill was a early multitool.
Pretty deluxe!
I too am collecting the Champion screwdrivers. Do you have any doubles?
I'm not ready to part with them yet.
Charles and Biddle st is downtown Baltimore
Thanks!
Loving the Billings adjustable wrench, will you be beautifying it ??
I definitely want to get it unstuck!
I like the file handle
Me too! If you haven't already, check out my video on them:

Did your work bench come out of a high school shop class?
It was my dad's. We had a neighbor that did work at schools, I think my dad got it from him.
How easy are the erasers to replace in the bullet pencils?
I haven't tried it. They are bigger than standard pencil erasers.
It's a bidirectional hoser eh! 🇨🇦
Thanks for watching!
