Something I don’t see enough people talk about are the new group study scenes. They’re just great little scenes that show off the group dynamic and contribute a lot.

Persona 3 is my favorite Persona game. I played FES back in high school and my GOD is the remake so good!!! Very glad that we're getting The Answer as DLC. Now to just hope and pray and beg for DLC for FeMC

22:17 a totally insane and fun fact is tht When Aleks Le, the voice actor for Mr Yukk, streamed the first couple hours of the game, he talked about how that scream was one of, if not the first take he did in the studio. and that somehow it naturally created a slight distortion effect with how much it peaked the studio's audio equipment. Aleks offered to do more takes but the team told him that the first one was the best, and used it in the final game right away
must have been wild to witness in the studio

Cold take right here, I think Alejandro Saab (aka my boi Kaggy) did a phenomenal job as Akihiko in this game

Alejandro absolutely nailed it. The number of times he's been asked to sign things or just say "You're a moron", and the fact his agent called him to tell him he got the role and said "Is this Akihiko?" and he said "No?"... FRICK, the Reload casting is perfect.
Im a fan of Kaggy, but my opinion of his Akihiko voice has been mixed thus far in my own playthrough. I trust I'll get used to it. I definitely can't wait to hear Dawn M. Bennett as Aigis!

They told him to do it again because that scream gave them the impression the mic picked up distortion but nope, that was his actual scream.

I just noticed something because of what Crystal said at 19:24. He was wearing the updated armband already because he was testing it out like he said when everyone gets one. The attention to detail in this game is crazy.

i was so hype when allegra clark and alejandro saab were announced as vas. i knew allegra was an excellent choice for mitsuru and alejandro has voiced 2 othe guys with white hair and lighting powers and would be a fun take on akihiko's voice. plus both are really fun people, talk about their roles and get involved with the communities. they do a lot of streaming too, with alejandro being a vtuber
My mum has the same name as Allegra's Street Fighter character, so I showed my mum some clips and she just the the Italian hand pinch and went "NOW THAT IS A STRONG WOMAN!"

To be honest, FES awakening is much more cool, darker and on point than reload who's have more stability than FES. Either is good just pick your poison
Although Kenji is a questionable character, His voice actor - Joe Zieja - is amazing and voices one of my favourite characters in all of gaming in Claude Von Riegan from Fire Emblem

15:30 Building off of what you were saying here, an especially cool thing about the decision to get an entirely new voice cast for this game is that, because a lot of this newer cast is younger, some of these people grew up playing this game.
I know that Junpei and Akihiko's new voice actors have said that Persona 3 was one of their favorite games before taking up their new roles in the remake, and I think maybe Mitsuru's said something similar but I'm less positive on that one.
I have limited mobile internet as my ISP can't send a technician to set up my fibre until Friday, but gosh dang it I'll use a bit of my mobile data to bump that algorithm!
Holy hot dang, I had no idea we'd be getting some Reload this quick, and even from the early subathon shorts, I am so pleased you're able to experience a game like this in a whole new second way from FES and Portable.
And you're spot on, the new voice cast are giving a whole new energy to this story without taking away its soul. Allegra Clark has been a highlight for me, and given how much I loved her performance as Marisa (ha, my mum's name) in Street Fighter, her Mitsuru performance is magnifique.
I will 100% be getting a copy when I can drop the 70-80 dollars it's going for in Australia - or I luck out finding a 20 dollar steelbook like I did with P5R - but until then... super please to see you burning that bread and Makoto Yukk just not caring. Congrats on manifesting Reload through your rumours, Crystaahhl. 😊
The new singer's name is Azumi Takahashi. My favorite songs of hers other than in persona 3 reload are Believe, Sonomama & Relight My Fire.
One thing I personally feel is weaker in reload is actually makoto's persona awakening. I would have preferred it far more to be in animation instead of using the in game models. This version looks more jank and doesn't impact quite as hard as it would have it if was done with the animation style they used for the tartarus reveal.

Having actually viewed most of the subathon live, I can't believe it only took 9 days to completely get through P3R. Hats off to you Crystaaahl, its been one of the greatest experiences!

If you like Persona, you might want to try the Trails of Cold Steel-series.
It has a lot of similar Features, high-school setting, calender, social links. But it is different enough to be its own Thing.
A lot of the Persona cast is also in this game.
I found your streams after I first played P5R after the Switch/Xbox ports came out and I immediately got obsessed with the entire franchise. Ended up watching all of the different highlights for your playthroughs, and it is so great being able to re-experience P3 all over again with you!

While I loved this game, going to p5 after this was jarring, the level design is kinda poor but I get it, it’s a safe remake. I did not feel these issues in fes though. Overall I think I prefer fes idk, cause the game feels right in fes, in reload it feels like it has p5 s budget but 1999 level design. It is what it is, I feel like this game is suited more for newcomers to persona, which is fire

I feel like it's kind of important never to change the voices of the velvet room attendants/Igor because, if the velvet room is outside time, then in theory no matter how many playthroughs happen, no matter how many remakes, sequels or other various timeline branches happen, they will always be the same instance of themselves.

The thanatos awakening scene makes more sense in reload but its kinda lacking compared to the ps2 ver(not the fes. ver) it makes the reload ver almost lack luster. 😂 everything else in reload is amazing though
Supposedly there's a mod where you can play as the female protagonist for Persona 3: Reload. Just a heads up if you ever wish to switch from the male to the female protagonist
Wearing the same outfit from the FES finale is a nice sentimental touch, I really love that stream series of yours. It got me through the hard 2 years at work under the effects of the pandemic and introduced me to one of my favourite casts of characters and stories! Your passion for what you play is so enjoyable

I also started p3r after playing the p2 duology, and I never realised how actually tight the link to the duology the third game had. It goes beyond the Hermit s-link. (In the original JP version the mmo isn't even innocent sin, appatently, btw)

Im playing P3R at the moment and i love it so far, so much so that i would love if for P4 to be remade exactly the same way.
I was really excited for these streams. I was super happy that the subathon lasted for the entire game. This was too good not to complete. This was my first experience with the Male MC and I am glad that I waited for Reload.
