My final pour ended up blob like on both formulas I tried. I tried setting the pot back on the heat but there was no saving that final pour. But on the bright side it still works, it's just not pretty.
Are you measuring by weight or by volume? I always have a hard time with this for conversion. For instance, your recipe states .06 ounces. Is that liquid ounces or weight? Please let me know so I can convert properly.
How long after you take it out of the mold can you use it? I made my own recipe last night and used SCS and was so preoccupied with pouring them into the molds that I forgot to check pH and lower it. I decided to reheat a little portion of it and add lactic acid until it was at 5 but it got super foamy. The ones with the higher pH look better but they both don't feel dry enough. It's been about 8 hours since I made them and they are still in the molds. I was wondering if I could use a liquid surfactant, so I am glad I came across your video! I would like to use sci but it doesn't melt well in water, so I need to use a surf to melt it.
You can technically use it right away as it doesn't require any cure time. Cooking a bit longer will evaporate more moisture if your product is too 'wet'.
@@StoryTimeDIY Thank you! I found freezing them after they were completely cool and out of the molds gave it a better feel. I used both formulas in the shower and they both held up well. I used LSB and Coco Glucoside and it was a luxurious lather. LSB is my favorite surfactant blend.
Wow Kim, that looks awesome 💕💕 thanks a buch for sharing the recipe 🌸🌼
Thank you and you're very welcome.
Omg that looks so easy! Awesome!
It is easy. Just move like...super fast with the pour! Good luck!
💖💞Very nice! Thank you for sharing!💞💖
Thank you for watching 😁
Is this re meltable, so like a base?
what is the preservative
Thank you for your recipe! Can you heat/make the jelly soap in a crockpot on low heat?
Yes! Finally, a recipe that uses carrageenan! Which type did you use for this (ie., Iota, Kappa)? Thanks so much for posting!
I believe I used Iota, but this was a few years ago.
@@StoryTimeDIY Thanks! Just saw the deconstruction video and the bag did say Iota!

Always measure by weight.
Can l replace Carrageenan whit xanthana ? Thank 🌹🌹🌹
Looks great! Can you do w/o the propylene glycol or substitute?
You can but it stabilizes the product temperature wise. It may change the consistency and durability.
awesome!!! what did you use for your colorant?

All other videos seen soap is to liguity and they put in the fridge
The jelly soap for at home can be made that way. It's not really a very good soap, however.
