    That looks wonderful! I recently purchased the Crafters Choice Foaming bath whip and absolutely love it! I don't usually buy bases because I prefer to make everything from scratch and I will definitely be making it from scratch next time because I have so much SCI.
    Just as a friendly note, you mentioned Coco Betaine as your surfactants but it looks like you are using Cocamidopropyl Betaine. They are two different ingredients and so many people think they are the same, and I was one of them. I noticed that even the suppliers shorten cocoamidopropyl betaine to coco betaine. I try and tell people because Cocoamidopropyl Betaine is a lot more gentle than Coco Betaine. Which is a good example of natural doesn't mean more gentle. Cocoamidopropyl Betaine is a synthetic and Coco Betaine is natural. When I first started out making products I purchased Coco Betaine and I can tell a big difference between the two when I use them as a sub for the other.

    • @StoryTimeDIY
      @StoryTimeDIY  4 года назад +3

      I cannot say how the milk will change how this comes together. It takes a long time for the powdered ingredients to melt and I think that may burn your milk. For most skin care, you can swap the milk for the water phase but I'm thinking this may be one product where that doesn't work. You can sure try. I'd reduce the batch size exponentially to try a test batch though. If you do, let us know how it turned out!

      Natural isn't a regulated term. So you can make that call.
      Optiphen works best for water based products. Optiphen ND for oil based. And Optiphen Plus works for both so you can absolutely use it. Follow the suggested useage rate per the manufacturer and adjust your recipe accordingly.

      It may change the texture and consistency of your product as the noodles may have other ingredients added.

      All amounts were listed in the video but you need to follow the IFRA standards for whatever fragrance you use. Each FO is different.

      Stearic acid will make for a stiffer texture. But this is something to dip your fingers in. If you want a whipped soap bar, that is a different product entirely

      Rot? I don't think you want any skincare product to rot. It does not have to cure but it needs to sit overnight.

    • @melindanicole9116
      @melindanicole9116 3 года назад +7

      Why? Chelators are a great addition to our products because they bind the metal ions which helps starve microbes and therefore helps preserve our products. If you live in a place with hard water it's always a good idea to add a chelating agent. If it's just EDTA that you don't like you can use Sodium Phytate.
