Phooey on the use of a Sliding Compound Miter Saw to cut these trim pieces.
One, this video seems to be a jumbled edit of pieces of other video. The viewer hears audio describing one action, while the video shows another.
The title of the video indicates it is to teach how to miter cut trim corner joints, but the video never really does that. It appears to rely heavily on the viewer knowing how to perform the various steps. Nothing is shown how to measure correctly, transfer the measurements to the material, for example.
Worst of all, however, is showing the use of a sliding compound miter saw. I've a DeWalt, fitted purposely for this use with a 60 tooth blade that otherwise provides an amazingly smooth cut. I tried everything, chopping action, sliding action, all to no avail. The Palisade L-Trim pieces essentially exploded when the blade came into contact with same. My hunch is they are now manufactured with a more brittle composite base material than that shown in the video. To achieve a workable solution I handcut each corner using a fine tooth blade fitted to a hacksaw handle.
It's a rather disappointing conclusion to an otherwise mostly good project using the Palisade Wall Tiles.

Hi! I’m encountering the same problem. Cutting these with a bladed knife, as they claim to be a way of cutting them, is not easy nor smooth. With a saw it’s only worse. Can I ask what brand you used of the saw and blade to be able to cut these?
