Thanks Mr Baig glad you enjoyed the video mate much appreciated. Finally finished the one side of the wall yesterday now start in the other side 👍🏴
Really interesting. I finally gave in and bought a miter grinding machine. Worked great on soft tiles but the wear on porcelain tiles was very significant. Took to cutting most of the meat off with the angle grinder, and finishing the cut on the mitering machine. Cheers from NZ.
Hia scotty great vid as per mate ! You can see why Matty does it free hand ( me too ) can’t ya with being able to cut more of an angle to give you a bit of leeway 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 but then again the amount you have to do I completely get it 🙏🏼👌🏻👌🏻
Yeh smaller area I’d go a different route but I’ve got about 80 linear metres to do I couldn’t deal with the stress free hand to many miss cuts 👍🏴
@@lhfloors I did actually try that putting a small long off cut strip under the tile but as it wasn’t flat it kept moving when I started cutting the mitre !!! When it’s flat I doesn’t move Close but no cigar 👍🏴
Nice work, looks easy to loss patience and mess it up, I know I would. Just wondering would it be possible to prop something under the tile edge to cut it at 46 degrees? Would that not work?
I think there something like a jigsaw attachment I’ve seen a while back. And yeh it’s slowly making me nuts next week is my 5th week cutting em 👍🏴
Scott you've shown why installing porcelain and especially a mitre cut cost what it does .Anyone wants work to look nice and done correctly needs to understand the cost .its labour intensive and the cost of the blades aint cheap not to mention a few grand for the saw Scott. Great video mate looking lush aswell mate not u your work 🤣🤣🧱👍🏴🏴
cheers Justin about the lush bit 😂 yeh definitely a day work job and cost of a lot of blades my 3rd blade for the Zoe arrives Tuesday , loosing my marbles 🤪👍🏴
You have way more patience than I have. You must contact a local engineering place, I'm sure they could easily machine out those gantry-stops slightly to accurately add another 2 degrees to them for you. It would save you so much time and I doubt it would be expensive. Does the blade on the Zoe leave a nice edge if you cut the mitre the other way, top to bottom, or does it chip the top edge (face) Either way, fantastic workmanship!
The blade should only go one way as it spins more chance of chipping front to back direction. Machine cut off site would of been great but then chance off damage in delivery 🚚 Either way it’s a long old process almost 5 weeks already !! 👍🏴 still not done
How adjustable is your saw? can it go to 47°? I would use that, would be nice n quick if it did. just move the tile back a mm away from the blade after the 45° cut.
@@tidybrickslandscaping frustrating. I know my compound mitre saw does it and I love that feature. maybe something for them to improve on. love the work btw and the videos. keep them coming 👍👍👍

Thx for you patience 👍 fortunately enough I’ve got a video calab with Marshall’s out tomorrow 2pm and just working on a deal with grabo for the wall I literally just finished today took me 3 months and finished today thank fuck it was doing my head in 120 linear metres of mitering porcelain tiles for it {clad] . Things have been slow but it’s speeding up finally 👍🏴
@@jc8023 cheers JC I’m looking forward to finishing the current job and I’m not taking on any other jobs just go full time videoing some brickie mates having the crack in work talking complete bollocks should be really funny comedy type stuff but still filming 2 proper good quality Brickie’s working still 👍🏴 I have a master plan ahead as this is my new career 🍻
I'll be sorry see the end of your landscaping videos, always enjoyed them, although youd been hinting for a while that the end was in sight.😢😢. Will you be adding the new bricky videos to the same channel? I hope so, at least you've automatically got a decent sized audience. All the Best mate.👍👍
Day rate is the only way for this type of work I couldn’t put a price on it plus the ones I chip and have to do again I’d have to charge for. Couple more weeks it’ll all be done. It’s taken just as much time as the patio itself 👍🏴
What a faff. I wouldn’t have the patience. You need to be a perfectionist to do all that. Well done Scott!
Literally just finished the one side today 6 weeks ago started now I’m doing the other side over 100 linear metres worth 🤪👍🏴
The time invested shows in the finished product, superb workmanship and an excellent how-to video.

Great job! Thanks for the help 💪🏻
Happy to help! glad you liked it 👍🏴
Looking forward to seeing the finished garden.
That type of work and detail must drive you mad.
Great work and video.
Well done.
I was hoping to have it finished this year for the Marshall’s completion but I need more time to complete the project so much more too do yet 👍🏴
Another great informative video as always.
Cheers Peter glad you enjoyed the video mate 👍🏴
Brilliant work as always, hope all is well and hope you have a great weekend.

Great work Scot but one bang on a corner in normal wear and tear it will chip unfortunately but you have great patience I admire that
I’ll be grouting it Monday with a epoxy resin that will toughen it up 👍🏴
Scot could you tilt the tile under a Packer to achieve 47°to save all that pain you have the skill I am sure good luck next time you need too

Lovely work mate as usual. Would a mitre blade help reduce the amount of clean up. Ive not done so much of it.
A blade is a blade it’s the process which sucks 👍🏴
Interesting and great to watch a conscientious tradesman,,, hard to find where I live
I’m putting lots of effort in as it’s the last one for a while I need a break from it all 👍🏴
It’s all coming together now going to look the dogs tidy 👍
Sure will plenty of other stuff after the wall. The circular washing line area is gona be special too 👍🏴 like a rose leaf pattern
Don’t know how you have the patience to do all those cuts. Would drive me insane. Looks great though
80 linear metres and yeh it’s slowly screwing with my brain 👍🏴
Hope you’re charging this customer for the level of perfection you are going to for them. Must be taking ages?!
5 weeks already we were going to do the other side as well but now we’re butting up those joints instead phew 👍🏴
A lot of pissing about , he will be able to retire after this job that's for sure

I would have thought that it would be a lot quicker to do the mitred side first and then cut to size. Use a new fine blade and cut really slowly.
Same amount of cuts either way and always leave the delicate cut till last. 👍🏴
