Really really Nice men!!! ;-) i am doing a bike build myself and i regret that i didnt make that good of a documentation of it how i made it. thumbs up!
OK ...cool build.. looks very 1980s Judge Dredd future world. Warning about Skillshare link...they want you to sign up and purchase a plan if you want your ‘free 14 days’. (And they’ll automatically keep deducting)
How does it run with the pod filters??? I have an 85 XJ700 with basically the same carbs, I wanted to get a Dynojet kit and pod filters but was told it'll NEVER run right without the stock air box. I can properly install everything but don't wanna spend $200 only to have the bike run worse than stock.
Dude derust the frame completely first before you start welding on things.
Did you oil the air filters? They looked dry to me.
bruh!!! 2.5 year build = 2.5 years of shooting footage too. Your long term vision is uncanny. Best wishes and wishing you more success mate!! Ride safe always!!
I just wanna say, this is the ONLY bike build time lapse video I’ve seen all the way through because the shots and editing is so great! After experiencing customizing bikes, I wish more people knew the time and work that go into them. Because when you do, you have more respect for it. It looks easy, but it really isn’t. Mad respect.
The tank of the XJ650 is probably one of the best looking factory tanks I've seen. This build was epic! The outcome was so much better than I could ever imagine!
just wanted to say kudos to your efforts of building that bike, and making an epic video to come with it too. cheers man! enjoyed every second of it!
Halo 🆖🆎🤣
Kesini gegara SG lu, katanya bagus

The fact that you don't have more subs is an absolute crime. This is some of the best produced content I have watched on RUclips.
Appreciate it man! We all gotta start somewhere and im just doing what i love 😁
Its a shame that the RUclips algorithms do not give bonus points for production quality. This video is very well done.
Agreed
@@TheTurboDad YES
The second you busted out the million dollar CNC machine I was done...
😂
I must say that is the sweetest 650 resto-mod cafe racer I've seen. I love all your designs and remakes and the attention to detail. Beautiful bike! Hope you will start another project soon. Have fun riding, you've earned it!
I took a 90's honda 250 nighthawk and gave it the cafe racer treatment...seat/lights/gauges/wire tuck/paint/mufflers/new rubber and such. Good fun working on a simple bike, it sounded mean and was fun to ride. If you can find a small older/air cooled bike, you can make them look new without fancy tools...just time and love. I didn't go as far with my build as most, but I started with a $300 bike, put $600 in parts and in the end, sold her for $1200 to a very happy new owner. So I got to learn working on a bike, modifying one, riding one, and made a few bucks in the end.
My god the end of this was incredible - the entire thing actually. But this bike truly came out a work of art!
Absolutely amazing. To see how much care, detail and hard work has been put into this bike makes it so so valuable. It must be a joy just to sit and ride a bike knowing that your own hands crafted this artwork. Beautiful.
it took me a while to pinpoint the aesthetic of this bike, but I finally got it. RoboCop.
I rode one of these for 20 years. Loved seeing what you did with it! Brought back some great memories...
As a Biker, this is brilliant. As a photographer/film maker, this is brilliant. Nothing more to say. Well done mate
Thanks buddy!
One of the best documentations of transforming an old bike into an attractive almost new motorcycle!
Well done 👍
2 and a half years well spent id say. This build is totally stunning. Ive watched all of your videos, and you improve every time. Hope you get many miles of good riding from it. All the best.
Absolutely incredibly… so many details… so much love… love this bike!! Stunning!! 👍🏻
Wow, amazing build and love the video! I really enjoyed watching, and it's obvious how much care and ingenuity you put into both.
holy sh*t! this is soo nicely done and filmed for that matter. You really are just an underrated contentcreator and it's quite sad you don't have more subs, cuz you deserve it.
Dude you restore and refine this XJ650 Cafe Racer looks much better quality than its original plant made.
Absolutely beautiful work! I love the gunmetal and silver paint job! really inspiring to start working on my own projects.
It's so cool to see the entire process in a single video. Many hours all summed up in 30 minutes. Great work and I can't wait to see what's next.
It was a process in itself to make this video but its worth it so i can watch it back in years to come
This was beautiful! The bike, the cinematography, the story and the editing. Amazing.
Check this one: ruclips.net/video/y8HEZ-x4-_w/видео.html
Took me 3 years to rebuild my xj750. I know how hard it is with out support and in South Africa the guys you take your parts to might just seal them. I had more trouble trying to get parts because it was not a new bike and rebuilding the engine was a nightmare because I waited 7 months just for the crank bearings and they were all different sizes. They guys did not want to help me no big money in it for them. I got her together in the end and seeing her run again was one of the most rewarding things of my life. Love is an engine.
Forgive my ignorance, but I never knew Yamaha made this bike. Very nice job and look forward to seeing more.
When I first saw the beginning of this video I almost didn't want to watch because I thought you were going to hack it up and make it something it wasn't. You really made a great-looking machine here I'm impressed
I've watched many restorations & restomods, cafe racer builds, you name it. This one is surely done excellently. I like the fact that even with the rear end chopped it still retains the right design proportions and does not look awkward.
Spot on. So many of the bob job “cafe racers” miss the mark by chopping the rear end and hanging a cantilevered solo pad. Guess they’re not intended for guys giving rides to curious ladies. The XJ was an excellent bike and this interpretation really does it justice. So good to see the disposal of Yamaha’s swirly wheels. They did over-style a few of their bikes in the ‘80s.
100% agreed.. ! Excellent editing.. and building skills.
The build & the editing is insane ! Thanks for showing all the steps, it'll be useful for a lot of us.
Wow, what a build! Super extensive, self made parts, amazing. The taillight is probably my favorite, because its so damn cool. But the exhaust, subframe, seat, paintjob, everything looks top notch! And not to forget, the video and edit itself! Great job!
craftsmanship is top tier but your cinematography and editing are next level. awesome work man
ig i aint mad with my recommendations after all, this videographie is on another level
Great to watch!
XJ650 was my first bike and I had it in pieces a number of times. Good to see familiar bits and bobs....
Fantastic to watch how you modded and changed it whilst keeping the core aesthetic.
Good job dude.
Love what you've done with that bike. Just brilliant. Nice to hear about the realistic time-frame too!! Awesome and inspirational.
This series got me too finally go all in and get a project bike, picking up an xs400 this week and couldn't be more excited
Awesome to hear man! good luck with it and most of all have fun
Bilt a xs400 cafe racer In 98. Early model with double leading shoe spoke wheels. Great bike. Will do the Ton. Barely.
Good luck man!!! I just picked up a 76 Kawasaki kz400, and I plan on it being a budget build.
Nice! I started my first project late last year - xs400 monoshock model, doing it scrambler/flattracker style. Are you planning to post progress somewhere?
@@Deivs65 once i get started I'll probably start posting to the xs400 forum, should be withing the next month or so. Have you posted yours anywhere?
Sensacional, vídeo, projeto e excussão, fazer tudo sozinho!
Você é um mágico da mecânica. 👏👏👏
This video makes me sad and inspired all at the same time.
My father and I bought 2 CB750s back in 2011 with the intent of doing something similar to what you have done. We built a shop with the intent of doing future projects. Sadly, as the shop was finished, he passed suddenly in 2013. I sold the motorcycles and never considered doing it again until now.
:(
Messages like this is what make it worth while putting so much effort into the builds and videos. Really sorry to hear about your dad passing. It can be so hard to find the motivation and passion to get back in the swing of things and if this video has helped in any way, then im glad to have made it. Much love mike!
@@jishh the effort you put into these videos is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your kind words, I didn’t mean to be a downer, just wanted you to know the videos are inspiring and of great interest to me and why. Thanks for doing what you do, having been a graphic designer in a past life I can appreciate the “art” of not only the builds but that of the videography/editing as well. Definitely subscribed!!!
@@jishh btw, if you need some parts for a CB750 I have a ton of gaskets and other new parts etc all in a box waiting to go!
WOW. Just wow. I had an '81 and '82 XJ650s ( both non-SECA models), an '85 XJ700 Maxim, and currently have a '79 XS650 so I have a soft spot for vintage Yamahas. This thing is killer. I originally thought you were crazy for choosing that headlight, but by the end I was digging it. Fantastic build. Top notch work and love all the little details. So many cool things on this bike.
It’s been such a privilege to follow your journey.
This is QUALITY! Absolute Gears and Gasoline vibes
For sure one of the BETTER cafe racer builds I've watched on YT!!! Very nicely done!!
Love your sense of style. Your project came out stunning. Keep the vids coming! We are living vicariously through you!
I wish that video was 3 times longer. Fantastic work!
this is one of the best yt vids i’ve seen in so long, thank you for that
The old bikes still hold the spirit of our imaginations as kids. Things we couldn't yet afford we spent hours pondering upon. Then we bring them back to life.
The final looks deserves all that 2 years of work.
Simply superb 👍🏻
It’s insane how effortless he made it look
Those shots in the rain were pretty epic. And to think you can build yourself a bike like this under 30 minutes..
Hey her made it in even less there was a sponsor video in the middle
I'm amazed at how much time and effort you've put into editing the video.
The attention to detail is immaculate. Well done 👏
YESS I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!! LOVE IT
Amazing work, I so glad all your hard work has paid off, this bike looks amazing, well done buddy!
🙏
just wanted to say thanks for the video kept me inspired my entire build. on the fine tuning phase/putting miles on and finding gremlins.. wish you could see it.. keep building
Mate, thats a wholesome timelapse!!! Really love the tail light, the underbelly exhaust, the speedometer, the gold accent and the front light.
Best of the best I can say... Love your video
You took my breath away when revealing the final result, it's just fantastic! I have the same shaft driven XJ750 and bought in similar condition, wanted to do a brat style build, but never found time and funds to finish it, so I'm still doing a couple of things each year. You have such a talent, it's amazing!
this was such a well done build i appreciate the hours you spent on making that video... love it
Damn! Someone who feel the same way about why rebuild a rusty motorcycle , they didn't know it's our treasure.
Yamaha and Honda never cease to amazing me in how amazingly engineered they are. I have cranked over 30 year old bikes and they fire in 2 or 3 kicks it really is a testimonial to Japanese engineering and metallurgy.
AMAZING build absolutely love the way it turned out and the colors are spot on!
Best build video I've ever seen!! Absolutely perfect piece of art. Thank you for documenting everything. Filming and editing are superb!
Absolutely outstanding. I'm blown away by the workmanship and the final result. Simply wonderful.
You are living the dream for those of us out here who can't get a project started but we really want to. Thanks.
So beautiful to see all the love and care lavished on the XJ650 , my first full on street bike. I loved that bike, and it loved me back.
This is absolutely gorgeous! Well done, tip of the hat to ya, sir 👏
Bike is amazing, colors are amazing, details are amazing, the engine is just amazing, footage is amazing.... that's great man! Congrats for the long journey you faced to reach your goal. This is a PRO result and it was a pleasure to see it coming out of paper!
Holy crap. That bike turned out absolutely beautiful! Fantastic camera work as well!
Josh, I really like watching all of your builds. I’m glad that you let us know the time it took to complete this project. Your work is absolutely amazing!
I meant Jish
Excellent job. Learned a few tricks. I drove a XJ650 in the 90s. My first fast 4 cylinder bike. Gave it up, because the motor ran like turbine and still had a vibration that made my hands numb. I needed a thumper and shaker. Next and 20 years later were the Kawasaki W 800, a parallel twin, which I really enjoyed. I had to leave it in Europe when I relocated into the US where I bought a Triumph Thruxton, which I am driving for 10 years now.
Love it!All it needs is a 1960`s Cafe Racing Fairing to give a stunning finish.
I am a Ducati Guy ,but grew up on a bunch of Honda`s.
My first bike in 1969 was 1965 650 BSA Tear Drop Engine.
It was a mechanical and electrical nightmare, always leaking oil, always needing some repair, hard to start when cold, but looked and sounded awesome.
Amazing build! Such dedication and detail that can’t be applauded enough in a comment.
The best Cafe racer build on RUclips. Outstanding job. How you only have 60K subscribers is beyond me.
Absolutely fabulous build. The bike looks stunning, the video and commentary were brilliant.More please.
Can't wait to do the same thing on my ZX4G. Absolutely marvelous work, insane range of tools. Thanks for sharing
this is so so so so damn good. the colors, the look, the tyres frigging everything!!!!!!!. Truth be told, I'm planning to build a cafe racer for myself and im saving this video for inspiration
That tail light was the business, its the little touches that make a big difference!
This was the build I was longing to see on RUclips!
This left me satisfied.
WOW, Seriously.... This video has some of the best B-roll I've seen (even compared to Peter McKinnon). Story telling also on point.
This bike turned out perfect. The paint job design is on point.
Congrats on an epic build. Hope it rides as good as it looks.
This bike is better than it has ever been.
Awesome restoration. 👍
OMG Taking two and half years.
I'm almost watching this with my kneel down , it's too impressive.
Appreciate your hard work on this masterpiece
And every other people who was in it
Good job brother ❤️❤️
An absolute beauty two and half years of hard work rebuilding this bike for this result must take so much energy, money, time and most important love and passion.
Thank you for this video
By far, the best XJ650 built I ever saw. I wish I could give it a ride. Ride safe man!
Epic! Very nice build. Love the paint. And I've never found square headlights attractive until I saw these 😍
Best way to refresh a dated looking bike to turn it into a timeless classic
Wow!!! Absolutely the best restoration I have seen for a Bike!!! You are a Genius!! Congratulations!
You can definately tell the amount of dedication placed within this video, the project, the editing, the takes and music. Lovely. Amazing Work! Greetings from Colombia.
I remember this bike well. My brother bought a new 650 Seca in 82 and then they were doing the square headlight conversion for free if you wanted it, which my brother did. I got a chance to ride it quite a bit. He'd put a pipe on it and flipped the handlebars over which made you sit more like a modern sport bike. It rode well but I always liked bigger engines so when I learned to ride on a Honda 450 Nighthawk I jumped to a V65 Magna. Still love these old bikes much more than the new stuff and I kept over the years a 79 CBX and an 83 1100F Super Sport.
For some reason I can't stop watching this kind of stuff maybe it's just the way the bikes turn out so so pretty 😍
I just clicked this video planning to see the very end only ... but since the first minute I found myself hooked up to watch every single second of it til the end ... man this is just amazing
Man that build was so wicked! WOW 2 years for the build well worth the wait tho, Your videos and music and just Amazing! Excellent Master pieces!
That 3D printed headlamp cradle looked amazing raw. So did the seat + battery + rear lamp fabrication. Very flash!
The Overall pain design hits the spot. I'm so pleased to see more shaft driven bikes being built now.
Consider penetrating oil or Plus Gas to release rusty screws. In america you can get stuff called Evapo-Rust and it does!
A great bike for this project. I had a 82 snd rode it for 2 years. Still one of the bikes I wish I had kept. Great job Jish !
I watch lots of bike restoration videos......thus was by FAR the best! Kudos mate on an incredible build!
What an amazing transformation. I was a bit skeptical about a couple of your design choices. But after seeing the finished bike I realized I was totally wrong. It all works together brilliantly. Thank you for sharing your creation. I'm sure it will inspire others to give these old bikes a second chance at life. Much respect 🙏 🫡. Stay safe and keep doing what you do.
Mate that is a seriously good looking bike. You should be extremely proud turning something like that out. Absolutely love it and if I walked into a showroom and saw that I would t even hesitate. Well done 👍🏻
That engine was the most impressive transformation!!! Damn
What an amazing build, you are like a gymnast, made it look so easy and beautiful. Beautiful!
RIP good ole vintage bikes. Brave new world.
Such a cyberpunk look... Unbelievable! You rock, dude! Enjoy it! Amazing work! I'm still in love with those rear lights!
It’s been awhile jish I use to watch your videos everyday! Gonna have to check out your newest project an see what artwork you’re up to. It’s always motivating watching your videos an I’m glad you make them!! Keep up the great work my friend 👍🏻
